What a great place for a road trip breakfast! We had stayed nearby and found Dreez on Yelp. Such a perfect way to start a leisurely day of travel. From the lighthearted good energy country decor with bright color mixed with softer grays, there were things like bicycle on wall greeting us with the purpose of dreez. "FOOD " with the bike wheels forming the OO's, a cute family portrait of the namesake of this cafe, Dreez and a sign promoting strawberry lemonade mimosas! Next our server gave us a warm welcome and helped make decisions that involved a food sensitivity. And I haven't even got to the yummy food yet. My husband had the smaller of the two complete American breakfasts offered and it was quite a generous portion. A highlight was the sausage patties. I chose the half and half Benedict which was perfect because I couldn't decide between the two. I selected that one while still looking at the yelp app in my hotel room and it did not disappoint! Each half was huge. And the presentation was beautiful too. Wish I'd taken a picture! A specialty of Dreez' is the chili infused hash browns. They were great and full of flavor and had a delightful mouth feel. A bit of light crispy and just enough creaminess from the cheese and cream in them for balance. Though our super sweet and friendly server did tastefully warn against having them four days in a row for comfort sake, they were not overly spicy. Great flavors! We're from out of town and visit Elko once, maybe twice a year. Dreez is always a solid breakfast choice and we're never disappointed with their menu options. I ordered their Greek Goddess omelet, which traditionally comes with sausage, but I subbed in shrimp instead and WOW this is my new favorite omelet! The combination of the feta, sundried tomatoes, and pesto delivered a lot zest and flavor in each bite. Please keep this item on the menu forever! I opted for a side of the country potatoes with my omelet, and was disappointed when they came out covered in bacon and cheese, as nowhere on the menu did it say they came with bacon and cheese. Just a small inconvenience, and it won't change the fact that this is our new go-to breakfast spot when we pass through again in the future. read more

Wish we would have had the chance to eat. We sat down outside and was ignored ever since. Server served drinks multiple times to the people beside us and never even made an effort to say hello or I'll be right there. Visiting family in Elko we HAD to try Dreez after perusing the menu and seeing pictures of the yummyyy offerings. We popped in for breakfast and were immediately greeted by the staff and quickly our table was ready. Menu is extensive with SO manyyy options to choose from that we decided to share a few things andd get our own too. The MUST dish for me that morning was the Surf & Turf Benedict w/2 poached eggs, steak, shrimp, house made chipotle hollandaise sauce and the side dish to compliment this already yummy dish chile' infused hash browns - absolutely deLISH!! For my hubby & FIL they shared the Biscuit & Gravy Meal w/baked biscuits smothered in gravy served with 2 over-medium eggs plus the chile' infused hash browns - yummyyy!! We were in town for a wedding and our friend who is from Elko suggested 3 spots for brunch, Dreez being one of them. After looking through the menus for all 3 places, my husband picked Dreez because he was intrigued by the green chile infused hashbrowns. I'm so glad he picked Dreez because we had a great experience! We came in on a Saturday around 12pm and were seated right away without a wait. They have a big breakfast menu that is served all day, there's something for everyone. My husband got the country fried steak meal and I went with the benny blackstone. He loved his country fried steak, you could tell it was hand breaded and the gravy was really flavorful. The benedict was very tasty and was made with regular bacon instead of canadian bacon, then covered in their delicious chipotle hollandaise sauce! Our favorite part of the meal was the chile infused hashbrowns. If you come here and get any other side, shame on you! You're really missing out. Not only do they have a kick to them, they are also quite cheesy. They were amazing, I easily could've had a whole plate of just these hashbrowns! There were a lot of other unique items on the menu that I would've loved to try like their pistachio waffles, strawberry crepes, and churro french toast. Our food came out within 15mins of ordering. Service was good, the waitress checked on us a few times despite having a busy lunch crowd. This was the perfect brunch spot, we enjoyed having a great meal and then taking a stroll of downtown afterwards to look at some of the art murals. Dreez is 100% worth stopping at for breakfast or lunch if you are driving through Elko. Service was fast and friendly. Our food was delicious, and there were lots of choices. They do a great job advertising their items on instagram, and my caesar chicken wrap with sweet potato waffle fries looked exactly like the photo they posted. I had a huckleburry mule to drink, and it was scrumptious. Especially if you're driving on 80 to or from Salt Lake City, your weary bones will appreciate a 45 minute rest at Dreez. read more

I had to try one of the amazing Eggs Benedict offerings - the complete menu was unique and inquiring minds would enjoy trying all the curated dishes. My first time here and walking in the ambiance was super chill and the workers greeted us and were super kind! BUT the minute we are seated and the waitress takes our order she's super rude. I understand the food service industry gets a lot of hate but she fr just had a nasty attitude. I'm eager to eat let's see if the food is better than the service. Tried the food.... Not good. Newly moved to Elko, and slowly trying all the restaurants I can find, I had a craving for good Eggs Benedict. A quick search on Yelp showed me Dreez, so off I went for some Benny. Parking wasn't difficult, but if it were busy I can see how parking may be a bit of a walk. No problem for me on this morning however. Upon entering, first thing I noticed is how bright and cheery it is inside. The colorful bar counter and wall art make a nice splash in the center of the room. The outside patio looks like a lovely place for breakfast or lunch in the summer. I sat at the bar and was quickly served by a super nice waitress. (No one is wearing masks anymore, however with the new lifting for those vaccinated, I have to assume they're all good to go. I myself am vaccinated but choose to wear my mask still.) I quickly ordered the 'Benny Royale' for the smoked salmon goodness with potatoes and some coffee. The waitress brought me water as well which was nice. I asked for my English muffin toasted, noting another review saying they aren't. The hollandaise is wonderful. I love the flavor and the cool tomato pieces on top add for a nice fresh contrast to the richness of the sauce. My eggs were a TAD over done. However I didn't fuss seeing as how there was still a bit of yolk in it. I tend to like mine even more yolky and less cooked. The salmon was delicious and not overly salty at all. The English muffin was a bit under toasted still. The breakfast potatoes had great flavor with the fresh bell peppers and onion. The bacon added a great smokiness and the melted cheese made them. But I do wish the potatoes themselves were cooked a lot longer and served way more golden brown. I may ask for them to be cooked extra long next time. Finally, I did notice a 'TRUMP 2020' flag at the bar and while I'm definitely not here to discuss my political beliefs, I truly dislike when establishments do this. Any political flags and I shy away. I want to be able to enjoy my food without political crap screaming at me. I'd say for these reasons it's a solid 4...and I will be back for some more Eggs Benny. read more

I ordered the "Benny"... poached eggs on Canadian bacon, toasted eng muffin, and "house made" Chiplotle Hollandaise sauce. With country potatoes. It looked great, with a huge portion, but it really did not taste as good as it looked. Eng muffin not toasted, potatoes were deep fried partially, and eggs over cooked. Potatoes had bacon and cheese in them, and when cooled down, they became a soggy, greasy, salty mess. I could only eat half. The service was great. read more

If you ever find yourself in Elko and craving brunch, this is a must stop. There is some outdoor seating on their patio if you prefer. Nice spacious interior and there is a bar. Staff were super friendly. They roast their own coffee beans and the coffee is pretty good. The beignets were light and awesome. The winner though is that chicken fried steak and eggs. Get it with the chili hashbrowns and you'll be in brunch heaven and stuffed til dinner. Got mine with a pancake instead of toast and that pancake is super fluffy and tasty. I ordered the Peruvian Benny with chili-infused hash browns, although that confused me since the menu said it was going to be served on a bed of fries, but nevertheless enjoyed it at first. The marinated beef strips seemed tender and flavorful, and the chili combined with the chipotle hollandaise sauce gave it a little spice. By the end, however, all I was really tasting was salt and chili to the point that it became overpowering and unpleasant. On top of that, it wasn't as filling as I was expecting, either. Breakfast options in Elko are probably a bit limited, but I'd check out other places in the area well before coming back here. read more
