We stopped in just for coffee, but we saw their yoghurt and granola bowl someone else ordered.

Very unique concept of paying for time instead of paying for individual products in the cafe. The…read moreprocess works like this: you pay 5 euros for each hour and you get unlimited coffee, tea, fruits, snacks, and other food options. You can also pay 24 euros for the entire day or 240 euros for the whole month. When you check in at the front counter, you get a card that keeps track of your time. Advice: students get 10% off and members (free of charge and requires filling out a simple form or sending an email) get 15% off for durations over two hours. The discount comes in handy if you stay the entire day. You can also print up to 10 pages for free and pay a small fee for each additional page afterward. The cafe is spacious with an upstairs conference room, two toilets, a variety of different seating arrangements, and plenty of space to find a spot to work. There are small lockers for storing your items if you decide to come in and out during the course of the day. You can even find board games and books to read! The owners and baristas are all very friendly and can answer any questions you may have. I've found this place to be a great spot to increase my productivity or simply to hang out with friends. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Mr. Bee ordered a cappuccino and we shared a chocolate mousse crepe. The coffee was delicious, and the crepe was not only beautiful but filled with light chocolate mouse, with more mousse on the side. It was a delicious few bites and the perfect pairing with coffee.

We didn't have anything set that we really wanted to try and just went with their recommendations. ...and first things first--we enjoyed our brunch. It was delicious. The mix of sweet and savory; as well as the warm and cold side of the board was great balance. We really had a lovely time. Here comes the "But"... the only thing that bothered us a bit was the guy helping us (manager/owner?) was a bit defensive (almost argumentative) on his explanation between hot chocolate drink and hot cocoa. I'm pretty sure he's very knowledgeable and passionate about his line of work...but his attitude should be turned down a notch or two for the folks that may not know (like us) a lot about the subject.

While it is not cheap, it is delicious, and it is packaged beautifully for you to enjoy or give as a gift. Service is excellent. They will likely offer a taste of their chocolate hazelnut spread (think Nutella). If they don't, ask. It is tasty.

The eclairs (in an assortment of buttery yet light flavors of cream fillings) were nothing short of outstanding. My daughter preferred the caramel, my husband the pistachio, and I the hazelnut. But then, 2 days later, I was blown away by a Paris-Brest like eclair -- think éclair shaped sandwich of buttery pastry with almond cream filling sprinkled with powdered sugar and crumbled toasted almonds. I'd return to Strasbourg for that dessert. Back to the night before: both our hosts and we were transported by the Mont Blanc, a chestnut and cassis dessert that was unique in both appearance and flavor. Don't miss it. Our hosts, both French born, said they'd never tasted such a delicious version of that dessert, and that the addition of cassis was unique and genius of this pâtissier. Also, for what it's worth, the elegant woman in the shop was lovely. In short, for the best French pastry in Strasbourg, don't bother going elsewhere.
