In an out in about an hour, this place is no joke! Prices are fair and competitive with the market and I'm happy with the results. The only thing I ever worried about is backing out into the one lane traffic on dillingham but that's the state's fault LOL.

I had my Accord done with Ohana's Kapolei location last year and they did a fantastic job. So I knew I wanted to go with them for my new car. This time I went with the Honolulu location because they could see me quicker than Kapolei--not trying to fry myself in Honolulu summer sunshine. Bought my car on Saturday, had an appointment book that Wednesday. Their online appointment system is great, and it gives you reminder notifications. Arrived at 930am--I guess I was the first install of the day for Kyle. I asked him about what ceramic options were available. I went with the cheaper Llumar (reputable brand. Worked very well in my accord) -- I think it's their CTX. No frills shop. Just a couch. No fancy ceramic heat display. I'm cool with that. Kyle worked on my car for about an hour. I paid a decent price--$350 for all windows except the front windshield 35%--which, Hawaii legislators if you're reading is ridiculous in freaking Hawaii! At least allow sedans/cars to get darker tint on the back window! Went home and sort of just left it outside in the sun to do it's thing and dry. After about an hour, I went outside to take pictures for this review and noticed some REALLY BIG finger bubbles on the passenger side and part of the back window corner had folded down a bit where the adhesive didn't seem to take. I've had a million cars tinted and never had this problem. But installers have always mentioned to me if any big bubbles appear, take it back immediately before it cures so they can work them out or whatever. See photos. Smaller bubbles are usually fine and will usually dissipate after the film dries. But these were like 3 inch fingers--one on the top of the window, one on the bottom. Went back to Kyle who was in the middle of another car. He came out and his eyes went wide. He'd never seen that happen before. Very quickly he applied some soapy water and did a quick fix. He asked me to come back after the car he was working on so he could do a more thorough job. About 40 mins later, I'm back at the shop. He takes the car into the bay and I hear a ripping sound as I think he pulled the passenger film and started fresh which I appreciated. About 20 mins later, the car was done and everything looked good. He said he applied a lot more heat on the passenger door this time. Now, a few hours later, everything still looks good. No big bubbles. The adhesive appears to have taken this time around. Fingers crossed! Look, this kind of stuff can happen with new tint. I was Kyle's first job that morning, maybe there was some debris on the window, maybe not enough heat was applied, maybe the adhesive sucked on that bit of film, whatever. It's totally fine. The key thing for me is Kyle worked to make it right within a couple of hours. It was a bit of a hassle going back but not too bad. That's the great part. He just fixed whatever went wrong quickly & efficiently. And now my car is looking great! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone because they seem to really take pride in ensuring the job is done well. And if it isn't, they will quickly correct the issue. And at the end of the day, that's what you really want in a tint shop: folks who will stand behind their work. PS--FYI: Llumar provides a warranty so you can take your car in--with your receipt & the warranty--to any installer who uses Llumar and get yourself situated. It's a reputable brand and does a great job.

Had the tint for about 2 months now and no complaints. Alex and I believe the other guy was David. But both of them did a good job, especially since it was there first time working on an imported Land Cruiser. Was surprise they did it fast too, my appointment was at 3 but I dropped it off early hoping they could start on it sooner if anything and my SUV was done by 6pm still. Will go back to them for any of my cars. Hoping they get more darker tints for the fronts. The tint they used has been very pleasing during these hot days. Im not blasting my ac in 4pm traffic anymore, the car gets cold much more faster then when it was a fish bowl.

Got my Jeep Wrangler recently and wanted to get it tinted for privacy. Been trying to get different quotes everywhere and Ohana Tinting responded with a estimate via Yelp Inquiry. They were the most affordable with their basic tint film. You first purchase the type of tint film you'd like on their website. Their website is very informational and explains the different types of film they provide. After purchasing online, they do give 5% discount for ordering online, you book an appointment online as well. They have two locations Honolulu and Kapolei. I went to the Honolulu location at my appointment at 10am. I got there 10mins before my appointment and one of the workers came out and greeted me. He had the paperwork all out and made sure my online purchase was confirmed on my end. You get to choose the percent tint you want for the windows. For the film I chose the darkest it goes was 20%. I got 35% on the two front sides and 20% for all rear windows. They have a small couch to wait on and a bench in an AC room to wait as well. They also have restrooms. The whole process took 45 mins less than an hour. The person was quick, friendly, and easy to work with. They really know what they're doing! And the film I got came with lifetime warranty! Great service and the tint came out great!

After reading all the good reviews, I decided to call to schedule an appointment to tint my car. I arrived a little early and the worker there came out to me and he took me in to start the paperwork. He helped me decide exactly what I wanted- I came a little unprepared but he was very kind and patient with me. He started working on my car right away and he finished in about 40 minutes which was very impressive. I went with 35% for all 4 windows and my back windshield (legally the darkest which is a bummer) but it turned out great and I paid $259 which is a good price. I went with the metalized option because it's cheaper than ceramic but it does have great heat protection. Initially I had no tint so I felt the difference as soon as I got in my car. Cosmetically, it looks great and heat-wise, it feels so much better. I'm very happy with how it turned out! 10/10 recommended coming to Ohana Tinting. It was a very welcoming environment, good prices, fast and efficient service and lifetime warranty. Unfortunately I didnt get his name but the worker was awesome- nice guy and very quick worker which deserves recognition! Thank you!

If I could give 10 stars I would. This place is amazing. I arrived a little early to my appointment but Kyle helped me quickly. My previous tint was horrible! There were bubbles everywhere and I couldn't even see anything behind me, which was a really big safety hazard for me. Kyle said it would take about 2 hours to take off and retint my window because of how bad my tint got but it ended up taking a little less than an hour! Super efficient and super friendly. I really suggest going to him for your tinting. He's super sweet and the fact that the warranty is lifetime?! 10/10 would recommend. Listen to the reviews folks!! Get your moneys worth. Called around on a sunday and got ridiculous quotes from tint shops charging from two to four hundred dollars to tint my mazda 3 sedan. Luckily I found these guys and got an awesome deal from them under two hundred. Owner was very flexible with my availability and met me at the shop even when they were closed. Tint was quality with a lifetime warranty from any shop even if this shop isn't around anymore. Picked up my car and owner gave me an even better deal for paying cash. Overall they are new and just moved into their new location but they are definitely a great addition to the small tint market in town. With the quality, price, and service they are offering I am sure they will be the top tint shop in town very soon. read more

OK so I just got a new used car and prior to getting this car I came on yelp to check out tinting places and asked for quotes for the reflective tint, I think that's what its called, I call um the mirror tint. Anyways I found that I could message multiple tinting business, cool. Even though all responded with a quote this place was by far the most reasonable, within my budget and the reviews was great too. I ended going with this company. Awesome choice, kyle was great. He responds in a timely matter (fast...lol) and I booked an appointment for today. Dropped off my car at 9am he explained how long and why and even informed me about the windshield tint, that some people didn't/don't like it because its not clear and the tint he used had a tinge of blue color. I was good I just wanted it to be legal to pass inspection. He texted when my car was done and when I went to pick my car up he explained about some things basically what to do and what not to do and what to expect. Life time warranty...I was happy with his work and customer service. I highly recommend this place for anyone who looking to tint their vehicle. Awesome prices for quality work. They have "good better and best" window tints. I went with the "best" ceramic (legal) 35% tints on all 5 windows and it cost a fraction of what I've paid on the east coast in the past ($200). I live close so I planned on walking back, but Kyle drove me back to my place when I dropped off my car and picked me back up when he was finished. Also, as far as I can tell they have great other services as well. Everyone is friendly. I'd recommend this place to anybody. read more

This is a late post. I took my 4runner here to get it tinted and I couldn't have asked for more than they did and how they accommodated me and my daughter. Heard of Halawa Window Tint on Groupon. Called the next day to set an appointment and Kylie was able to book me the next day. The shop opened at 10am but Kylie was able to take me in at 9am. My car was done in 2 hours. Best and efficient car tinting thus far and quality is great! read more

Got my truck tinted at halawa glass tinting. Met the owner named Kyle and hes a very nice guy. His prices is way cheaper than the 2 other places I called and he was very accommodating that I could only get my car tinted after 5pm. I have a nissan truck and he explained to me that because the rear window has no black border that it would come out nicer if he pulled the whole glass out. I am very happy with the quality of work and I will definitely go back to get future cars done there read more

Halawa tint glass did an exquisite job on my new Tacoma. Kyle the owner explained the differences between types of tint that's available on today's market. I went with the ceramic tint they offer. For all vehicles I went with ceramic tint on passenger and driver windows plus the windshield. The results looked incredibly clean and factory-like. Beyond appearance, the temperature inside the cabin became noticeably more comfortable, which makes a big difference in Hawaiʻi's sun. Turnaround time was also impressive. They completed the job in about two hours, which made it easy to plan around. Another nice bonus is the location. TintPro is across the street from HiClimb in Kakaʻako, so while your car is being worked on there are plenty of places nearby to grab food, coffee, or do a little shopping. I've trusted Bruno with multiple vehicles and will continue going back whenever I need tinting. Highly recommended if you want quality work done right the first time.

I did my due diligence and verified his contractors license, that it was in good standing, no RICO complaints, and he has appropriate insurance * All Readyman does is home window tinting. I needed my car to be immaculately clean, and what he delivered completely exceeded every expectation. When I picked up my car, I was honestly in awe. It looked and felt brand new. What truly stood out, though, wasn't just the quality of his work--it was him. My family was with me, and Greg treated all of us with such genuine kindness, respect, and aloha. After a fishing day with my family, squid juice spilled into my car and soaked into the carpet. The smell was awful. NEWEST UPDATE: Aloha folks -- i've updated my review as…read morethere has been some progress. Greg reached out to me explaining that based on the video I sent, it appeared that the ceramic coating was working, but not how it should be. He asked if I could bring the vehicle in so that his team could wash it, and verify this in person. We agreed that I would drop my vehicle off on Friday. This will allow for a pickup on Saturday. Upon drop off, his guys, Zane and Kato accepted the vehicle and tested the ceramic. Right away, Zane said that it wasn't reacting correctly. I left my keys with them and was told that the vehicle would be ready for pickup the following day and I would be notified by call or text. Saturday -- Premiere is open until 6pm. Once 5pm came around I was admittedly starting to get a little bit nervous seeing as how I needed my car for work on Monday, and I knew they were closed on Sunday. I attempted to call and received no response. Living closeby, I just decided to head over. I got there about 540pm. Greg was there detailing the interior of a car. He had plenty of vehicles to take care of. He was friendly and apologized for the lack of communication, citing that he was swamped with the influx of vehicles. He explained that my car was "done" but that he, himself, had taken issue with it. When we approached my car, it was clear that work had been done. But upon closer inspection, there were water spots on my glass and streak marks on areas, exacerbated by the light from his cell phone flashlight. He was able to quickly wipe some of them off. He again apologized and said that he didn't like the work that was done and asked if he could keep my vehicle until Tuesday so that it could be completely redone. This I respect. Alot. For a boss to take ownership of their work and the work of their employees goes a long way. I left it -- picked it up on Tuesday. The car looks fantastic. Here's to waiting it out and see if the ceramic holds this time around. Very glad that I chose the boys at Premiere. Will update in a week :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aloha all! Second time using the boys at Premiere Island Auto Detail. They did an amazing job on my camaro, that I felt it only right to use them for our SUV. My last interactions with Greg (the owner) and his team were nothing short of amazing. He is a personably guy. I reached out to them asking for an interior and exterior detail on my 2023 Mazda CX50. After some back and forth on the services, I ended up changing my service to a "basic" ceramic coating (which includes an exterior detail to prep it) and full interior detail. The price was amazing. Greg takes care of his customers. I wont mention it here as pricing can always change. As a reminder to anyone reading this -- its always a nice gesture to tip them, though, not required. Greg was able to take my car pretty quickly. I made the appointment for a drop off on Saturday. For those of you that don't know, ceramic coatings require a curing time, and therefore, I needed to leave my vehicle overnight. The garage is secure and under surveillance. It is easily accessible in the downtown area. I came back the next morning to pickup my car. It looked stellar! The lighting really makes the cars pop too. The exterior looked brand new (minus water spots that apparently weren't able to be removed from the 3m decals). The interior also looked great. I had some minor pet fur still embedded, but nothing to harp about. I noticed that the trunk space wasn't addressed though. No biggie. Now the reason for my decrease in rating: I want to start off by reiterating that Greg and his team are excellent dudes to work with. They are friendly, fast, and do good work. My Mazda, this time around, just isn't what I expected from them. I haven't been able to get back for the car wash because the weather has been awful -- so its been a little bit of time since the coating. There are some spots where the ceramic is noticeable. Particularly under the side mirrors, you can see the coating is still there and streaked on. The new formula that they used on this "basic" coating, definitely shows a difference. Maybe this coating only included one pass over, i'm not sure, but the beading effect just isn't there. Dirt and grime still clings to the car and it doesn't wash off with water. The roof doesnt appear to have been coated, but I could be wrong. The wheels were not coated. I am unsure if the glass was coated. The trim appears to have been coated but not wiped off properly. Anyway, do I recommend them? Absolutely. I still think they do good work at a great price. However, I would strongly encourage you to ask about their options for ceramic coating and not get a lesser package. Mahalo Premiere
