I went in this morning happy as a clam... Knowing my 30 day tag was going to expire in two days, but not really worried about it. Just wanted to know if I could get another one not a big deal either way I did not have any attitude whatsoever I was just asking questions ...from the very start of the conversation with this lady. It was just terrible. She's king poop of turd Hill. Everyone else sweet as pie. maybe just having a bad day I don't know, but I hope the next person doesn't get treated like I did. read more

Save yourself the time and frustration. I spent hours at this place to be humiliated and embarrassed over a situation regarding my recently deceased husband. By the urging of others, including the people in Columbus, I went to the North Olmsted location. They had me in and out in 10 minutes with what I needed. This review is for Avon Lake BMV - Marcia E Fleming and staff. The worst BMV experience that I have ever received from a BMV. My wife and I recently moved to Ohio and she was there to get an Ohio ID. These old ladies working there were the most discriminatory individuals I have come across at a government location. Demanded that my wife present a passport even though she was clearly an American citizen with a Real ID from another state and had provided a Ohio birth certificate and property. Yet this employee demanded a Passport? What the heck? Does she not understand what a Federal Government Real ID is? On top of it all my wife had already been in BMV system because she had received her license earlier in her life from the state of Ohio. This employee still demanded even a marriage certificate from our marriage and my wife's previous marriage that was over 25 years ago? I mean totally harassing both my wife and I which by the way she clearly had an issue with considering that I am not what she assumed a citizen based only on my appearance? I wasn't the color they approved. Obviously this avon lake hires a bunch of people who will do everything and anything to make your life miserable. Do yourself a favor and go to another BMV. How the city, state and mayor allow these people to be paid by state taxes is beyond me, They all should be fired and thrown out. Kindness does not exist here and neither does customer service. That message on their wall is for the customer to be kind but they themselves are exempt from having to be. Diversity is definitely not here. City Council follow your own message and bring in and hire those that don't match the 97% of the population in this city or this BMV office. read more

Yelp review for BMV Lorain County Title Iffice All I needed was to change my old Wv to my new Ohio address. The several BMV offices I spoke said it couldn't be done. they could not change my previous address. Every BMV I spoke with informed me to go back Parkersburg, West Virginia, pay taxes, have a new Wv Title made then go to Marietta Ohio, pay taxes again and have a new Ohio auto title made with my new address . The lady at the Lorain County Title Office made a few phone calls and solved all my issues. She was patient, very knowledgeable and the most helpful of any BMV office employee I have ever felt with. read more

Very disappointed with service. Doors were open so I walk in and the said closed and can't help. Come back tomorrow. If the doors are unlocked then service should be given. No excuses. Piss poor customer relations. North Olmsted branch. Next time lock doors!! read more

Go early right when they open! That is the strategy. Service was perfect. I didn't have any issues and was out in 10 minutes.

Long lines in the middle of the month with very slow service. Office is small with limited seating.

This is the slowest BMV in North America. I've been sitting for 30 minutes and they are no where near my number - 17. This makes absolutely no sense. This place is packed and the employees go into a back room and never emerge leaving one person to address the issues/concerns for 30+ people. So sad given the availability speed of technology and availability of great customer service we are subject to subpar treatment. read more

Very disappointed with service. I went in to get four registrations renewed, one of them was a diesel pickup with a permanent E-check exemption. The clerk told me she didn't know how to do this and was not going to do it even though I gave her the certificate of permanent exemption and a letter from Ohio E-check with phone #s for Ohio BMV and Ohio E-check if they had any questions printed right on the letter. I had to tell the clerk 4 times to read the letter before she finally did. She still didn't know what to do or bother to contact anyone who did. She only renewed two of my four registrations. I had to tell her I handed her four registrations before she renewed them too. I thought she was very unprofessional and unhelpful. I will probably drive ten miles further to another BMV from now on. read more

Worst experience. I was here last week to transfer my Oklahoma license to Ohio. I did not have my social security card because lost in our move but I had birth certificate, proof of address and tax docs. I was told I needed to get a copy of my marriage license to show name change. Well I take the morning yesterday to go to get a copy of my marriage license and return to this office. The women and older women with short blond hair and glasses told me she couldn't take any of the docs I had except for my birth certificate. Hmmmm she literally just stared at me when I explained to her what the last individual indicated I needed k. Order to come back. She said no we need your social security card. Then proceeded to hand me a form that did show other documents I can give them if I didn't have my SS card. No I apologize for the inconvenience or I apologize for you being given incorrect information. She just had a blank stare. Not great customer service at all. I'll never go back, read more
