A lot of interesting things about this building. It's one of the tallest buildings in Cleveland. Terminal Tower is a pretty old building that's cool to look at inside and outside. Coolest thing inside is the lobby. The fountains in the shopping center inside make it worth going in. Even though the lame shopping center inside sucks, it still is fun to look around. It has a very nice lobby. There's a lot of large pools with fountains in them. It adds some class. Of course you should look around the rest of the tower. It was built in the 1920s and has some great architecture. The ceilings once you get in the front doors are magnificent. An observation deck is on one of the top floors. The views here are hit or miss because of the cloudy weather. Looking at the tower from the outside is pretty cool. This is a very large building and it's impossible to miss. Often it's lit up in bright colors. The architecture of the building is gothic and there's all kinds of cool arches and carvings on it outside. It also is a terminal of course. RTA has a stop inside. This makes getting to downtown convenient with not having to find parking. read more

EDIT - Saying nu uh to everything I have said is no response at all. Yes, people have been in to look at my suite, and yet my water bill keeps skyrocketing, and no one will show me a proper bill! As for my other complaints, I have attached photos of it all. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! For a fluctuating rent (due to utilities being included - more on that in moment) you get to live in an apartment that is cute but riddled with issues. First, the elevators break down regularly. I myself got trapped in a stairwell and had to be rescued by a neighbor trying to get back to my apartment. Others have gotten stuck IN the elevators. Imagine being on the 15th floor with no elevator! Second, the place is riddled with flies and gnats. There is literally a cloud of them near the office on some days and when you complain about them in your apartment, they check the drains and then tell you there is nothing they can do about the flies. I just today found one in my water cup (picture attached), so that's fabulous. The garbage shoots are kept disgusting (pictures attached), which I'm sure contributes to the major insect problem. My biggest gripe, however, is the fluctuating bills. They get their water from some shell company called Standard Energy, and each month, they attach water, hvac, and electricity to your rent. If you have a concern about your bill, which I have had almost every month since I moved in, they tell you to pay it or risk a fee for late rent. You can reach out to standard energy to ask them to explain your bill, but they won't. They will only cite what the city of Cleveland charges. Which would be fine if the charges matched. Each month since I moved in, my water bill has skyrocketed from 48 to 118 and now 225?!?! The people in the office are clearly getting some sort of kickback because they are zero help to explain why this is happening and reaching out to standard, you get no response. Literally, no one will show me how my bill is calculated or why it's so high. Only saying I must have used that much water because they checked the meter, and it's working correctly. In order to use that much water, I would have had to fill 3 swimming pools for goodness sakes! I'm now on the hook for 2k rent because of these bills, and with the other issues, it's just not worth it. If you're searching for luxury living - keep searching read more

The speed of this building (0mph) is the Terminal Velocity. If it were a plane, it would be an Airport Terminal. But it's not. It's actually the most grand old and spectacular skyscraper in Cleveland. Terminal Tower, the crowning glory of "Tower City", is the building most associated with Cleveland (and no it's not the Browns Stadium of the gaunt, angular Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame). This is one of the prettiest old buildings in the region, and is also grand and sweeping and imposing as well. Inside it reminds me of a Manhattan hotel, one of the grand old ones like on "Home Alone" (giving away my age, here, both younger and older than you thought). The units are also all verry new. with the highest quality furnishings and finishes. You could not have the same level of quality and elegance in design anywhere else for the price. I tried to go on Friday but it was closed. They said sorry folks observation tower is closed, moose out front should have told you. It's a really nice building. I'm sure there are some really great views of the lake, but don't try seeing them on Friday because it's closed,shut down, no admittance, hang a hat on that peg. Remember, this isn't Trump Tower. See Cleveland from the sky! Terminal tower is a historic landmark and the second tallest building there. It was a nice view from the 42nd floor. The only annoying thing was can't buy a ticket there. You have to purchase it online then show them your receipt...but it was worth the $5. The tower is connected to the mall so you can grab a bite and shop at Tower City. This weekend, we traveled 42 flights to the observation deck of the Terminal Tower. Oft heralded as Cleveland's most iconic structure since it's birth in the late 1920's; the view was remarkable. Located centrally on Public Square, the observation deck offered a 30 mile, 360-degree view of city. The Flats, Lake Erie, the Cuyahoga River and the distant suburbs could all be seen from this vantage point. Mike Hudson, lead singer of the '70s punk band the Pagans compared the Terminal Tower to a "medieval fortress," or the "Emerald City of Oz." Beloved local weatherman Dick Goddard refers to the tower as the "Gray Lady." Call it whatever you'd like, the Terminal Tower is an awe inspiring structure. It's architecture is certainly unique to the other skyscrapers in this city. Similarities are often drawn to buildings that came out of Communist USSR in the late '30s-'50s. Whether or not the Stalin inspired Gothic designs were a point of reference or not remains unknown. Primarily used today for mixed use office space, the Terminal Tower, despite no longer being the largest building in Cleveland, will forever reign as one of the most memorable symbols of the city. Whether in daylight or at night when lit up in one of the alternating colors depending on season or significance, the 80-year-old tower is plenty deserving of serving as landmark to Cleveland's Public Square now and into the future. read more

Gather round kids. Way back when the 1st Star Wars movie came out one summer, I was in Cleveland as a student intern for the old Standard Oil of Ohio or SOHIO. And during previous winters, I really did walk to school 2 miles through the snow and up hill both ways. During the weekdays, I took the Rapid from Cleveland Heights Downtown to Terminal Tower. Like the rest of Cleveland at that time, things were a little frayed at the edges both inside and out. But I did have a nice window view of the mighty Cuyahoga was often entertained by the tale of the burning river. Whether you are a lifelong Clevelander or a visitor passing through CLE, the Terminal Tower Observation Deck should be on your to-do list. If you're interested in a public tour, you can register online for $6 and spend 30 minutes on the deck! I've also held two private events in this space and am consistently blown away by the ease of planning, professionalism and helpful communication. Coupled with catering from Lincoln Tap House (inside Tower City), the event is always flawless. Greg from Lincoln Tap House does an incredible job of fairly pricing the menu, arranging the space and working with the Deck staff to finalize logistics. The space can hold about 35 people comfortably, but I wouldn't recommend anymore than that! The route up to the Observation Deck can be a little topsy turvy. Be prepared to check-in at the security desk outside the elevator banks in Tower City. Once you are cleared, you will take two different elevators to reach the top. Pay attention to the signs, or you may get off at the wrong floor! Regardless, enough signage is placed throughout that you won't get too lost. I don't typically write reviews- however, I feel this is important for any prospective resident. I have several safety concerns with the building including but not limited to a security guard letting me into my apartment without verification of identity or address & bringing a stranger with her to do so. & when I spoke with the office I was specifically told I was complaining. After moving into the top floor with a central view of public square.... ...I can't believe I even considered moving anywhere else!!! I moved into The Terminal Tower Residences after dealing with some sub-par leasing offices in the area. The experience working with Rita and the front office of K&D was very easy, accommodating, and personal. During my stay, I enjoyed: 1. Making friends in the morning while doing workouts 2. Starbucks from the location in the building while starting my workday 3. Sharing skyline sunset views with friends and family from the rooftop patio 4. Friday evening dinners in the Flats 5. Easy access to Edgewater beach for outdoor exercise and sunshine 6. The best front-yard in all of North East Ohio with Cleveland's public square, the lawn - garden - and fountain outside of the Marriott overlooking Cleveland Browns Stadium - The Science Center - and The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame AND MORE!!!! I made friends with the security guards who were always kind, helpful, and respectful. Lived here for a few months and I had a good experience. Compared to what's out in the market in other luxury apartments you get more and you pay less. If you work around the area can't beat the convenience of living right in the heart of downtown. Interiors are amazing from carpet on hallway to appliances that are brand new. It's also very quiet and have giant walk-in closets depends on what unit. You also have a smart heat/AC you can control from your phone. Starbucks is right there when you leave the elevators. Finally they also keep it very clean which is very important in my opinion. Additionally gym and rooftop ( not many cleveland apartments have this) are great perks. Aside from that staff are very welcoming and responsive to needs of residences from front desk to property manager. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Cleveland. read more

Been living here for a few months and it's awesome! Apartments are new, clean & quiet. Jessica and the team really run this place like a boss. They communicate with tenants super quickly and efficiently. They have also hosted some great tenant events with free cocktails and food! As far as maintenance goes our AC started dripping and they arrived so fast and fixed the issue immediately. The only issue at all is parking but we can see management is working on this. Overall, it's refreshing to live somewhere you actually like. read more

Met with Property Manager Rita Almanassra and went through all the 1-bedroom apartments she had available. Not many, as you can imagine in this very beautiful desirable location. She was super helpful and patient with all our questions and walked us through the process and contract. Our daughter had just moved to Cleveland and started a new job with no time to look for herself, and we had flown in for 2 days from Fl. to help her find something quick. We are not from Cleveland, and either is our daughter. This was our top choice out of 3 Apartments downtown when we started looking. We were looking for a nice 1-bedroom apartment that offered a gym, security, and parking in downtown close to her work. This place met all the criteria, and more. Security in the Lobby that you could not get pass unless you lived there, and secure locked doors to the elevators. Parking garage is attached with security cameras that are watched 24 hours a day. The apartments were all updated beautiful and clean with washer and dryers. This was our first choice when we started looking for apartments in downtown Cleveland and we were so excited to find one available. I would definitely recommend The Terminal Towers and ask for Rita Almanassre. She was fun, and helpful! read more

Approximately ten months ago I moved into The Terminal Tower Residences which were recently renovated and owned and operated by K&D management. Over my career I have moved to many different apartments but I have found that The Terminal Tower Residences are exceptional, particularly the personnel in the leasing office - Rita and Courtney. At no time have I ever been disappointed because they have both been kind, mindful, courteous, respectful and always there whenever I've been in need of assistance. In solidarity with the City of Cleveland's perennially rough treatment at the hands of wealthy people who once owned or played for its sports teams, I'm writing a review of the good old Terminal Tower. What's the Terminal Tower? It's a 708-foot skyscraper in Cleveland. Why is it important? Well, besides being the most iconic non-sports building in Cleveland, it was the tallest building in the world not in New York City from its completion in 1928 until 1953. Yes, there were taller buildings in the Big Apple, but it's pretty impressive (or some other adjective) that the biggest thing this side of Gotham wasn't in Chicago or Boston but in Cleveland. And from 1953 until 1964, the Terminal Tower was the tallest skyscraper in North America outside of New York. When I lived in Cleveland, I always loved the Terminal Tower. It helped me orient myself when I got confused by the area's curving streets, and it's much nicer looking than the Key Tower (which is taller than it), Jacobs Field, and the court building they finished in 2000. They also light it up with different colors depending on what's going on. I moved to Cleveland the summer they got the Browns back, and the Terminal Tower was lit with orange lights to celebrate this. I think there's also a bald-eagle nest way up there. The observation deck is pretty cool, although I think they closed it after September 11. In general, it's pretty interesting how the tower itself is integrated into the supporting buildings below it. I think the first time I took one of the elevators up, I wasn't even aware that I was in the tower itself. read more

I have been visiting the Terminal Tower my whole life since about age 7, which was well before they put in the current "Tower City Center" mall, so you can imagine. I am not a fan of the mall or the casino additions, but I enjoy the parts of the old building that have been preserved and cleaned up/ fixed up, such as the ceilings and the gilded elevator doors. This review is primarily for the Observation Deck, where you buy a ticket and go up to see the view. I had been up there 2 or 3 times when I was much younger. Over the years it has been closed and reopened and renovated at various times so I thought it would be fun to check out the latest incarnation. I bought a ticket online, which entitles you to a half-hour visit at a specified time. The day I picked was pretty uncrowded from the look of the advance ticket sales and also from the lack of people when I arrived. I noticed there were other days when the online tickets were completely sold out for a lot of the times and I would suggest avoiding that scenario, simply because there is not that much room on the observation deck and the windows are not that big. Anyway, once I arrived, and got parked, and walked a very long way from the rear parking lot to the front of the building where you take the elevators up to the deck (note, this is not at all well marked and I had to ask about three people to find where to go...how hard would it be to put up some signs pointing the way to the "observation deck tour"?) I rode the elevators all the way up and stepped out into a tiny area with some folding chairs that I assumed was a lobby leading to the actual deck. Surprise, that WAS the actual deck, which seems to have been remodeled so it looks like it did in the 1930s. Now, I love the 1930s, and old timey architecture, and they did a nice job, and it was clean and pretty and all that, but it was also boring as heck. What you basically have are walls with a large wooden sashed window every few feet. This is not enough windows (or enough space in general - what is with the several dozen folding chairs taking up the whole floor?) on a crowded day, and even on an un-crowded day, the sashes of the windows impede your view. Plus, the windows were very dirty on their outsides. Maybe I happened to stop by on a day before the annual power wash was scheduled, but if I were a photographer, I would not want to be taking any pictures out of a window as dirty and smudged as these were. I seemed to recall there used to be a little souvenir stand up there so you could buy a memento of your visit. In fact there is a historical photo showing such a stand. Nothing like that exists now. You can't even get a postcard of the place up there. They don't even have a box or platform or little viewing telescope that costs a quarter to amuse kids who visit. There are very few exhibits on the walls (again they probably don't have the space). I would also note that as of 2015, Public Square is being ripped up and remodeled down below so your main view straight down is going to be of a big patch of construction pit. Another side of the tower has an old photo of the view that points out buildings and stuff that, if you look at the actual view, do not exist any more. Cool from a history standpoint, but underwhelming from a viewing standpoint. Overall it seems like the redesign was more for holding small receptions or events up there than entertaining a lot of tourists up there. It's still OK if you want to see the deck looking like it did in the 30s, or just enjoy a nice view of Cleveland and the lake (best on a sunny day). But kind of underwhelming, especially when I got told my 6 dollar ticket didn't qualify me for a parking validation so I got stuck with a bill for 9 dollars for parking outside with no valet. I would have had to spend 30 dollars in the mall (which has pitifully little of interest to buy) to get free parking. Really, Tower City? Not encouraging... read more

Our ticket is for 1pm to 1:30pm. The person at the desk has poor communication skills. He don't inform the visitors of what is going on and its now 120pm and we are still waiting to tour this great building. He need to be replaced or retrain. read more

Only open certain days and times, if you can get to the observation deck you absolutely should. Other than that, expect fairly standard shopping, food court (plus a Hard Rock Cafe) and movie theatre. The lobby is the real stand-out here as during the holidays they do displays from balloon animals to animatronics around the dancing fountain. read more

My family visited the observation deck recently. Great way to get a new view of our great city. It isn't open all of the time and we have been looking for an opportunity to take in the sights from above. A neat "Cleveland bucket list" item. Inexpensive, can be done in about half an hour and you can head somewhere for lunch. read more

If you're visiting Cleveland, the best view of the city (that is, what there is to see) is from the top of the tower. However, make sure to take the elevator down. I had a friend who wanted to take the stairs, got stuck on the fifth floor, and then got yelled at by some very angry and less-that-polite security guards. Also, the Film Festival here is also a fun event every year! They have films from all over the world and it really lets you explore! Also, its very convenience that the rapid is located right inside. The building itself is also beautiful! However, the mall itself is a disaster. They do have some nice stores, but the security guards seem more content on harassing 17 year olds who are quietly eating chinese food in the food court that on dealing with the bums and groups of loiterers who harass shoppers for $5, block off all the entrances, and break windows at their leisure. Hopefully this will be cleared up by the time the convention hits, but I doubt it. read more

If you're planning to go to the observation deck be aware that they only have it open on weekends. Plus you must get your tickets online. I was in town from Monday-Thursday so I didn't get a chance to go to the top. However, just looking at the building from the outside is neat. Great historical building in the center of downtown. The observation deck is a must for anyone, buy a ticket for $5 from the bottom floor of Tower City and take the elevator to 42nd floor. The historical detail has been preserved and you can see all of Cleveland (best if done on a sunny day!). There are helpful placards along each window so you know what you're looking at. It can get a bit crowded (relative, this is Cleveland after all!) on the weekends with tourist families, so go during the week or early. read more

I finally made it to the Terminal Tower Observation Deck and it was awesome! Great views of the city with labeled photos inside. I was surprised when I got to the top though because I thought it was open and not indoors. Still, great views. Good spot to take a date or visitors from out of town. read more

The observation deck is great. My young children weren't very interested but that could be because they've been ruined by the Willis Tower. But, I love Cleveland. It's beautiful! The observation deck of the Terminal Tower is amazing. It's very hard to find out about, as there is no advertising, but the views from up there are second to none. We need to advertise this so the tourists can enjoy this and get a great view of our city and realize how big Lake Erie really is. Plus it's cheap to go up there. The sky deck at Willis Tower in Chicago is about $20, and this is only $5. It's really hard to complain about that in my opinion. So....... just go up there and enjoy the view of our wonderful city. read more

We visited Cleveland last week with our 13 and 11 year old grandsons and the Terminal Tower observation tour that was given by Shontelle (sp) was one of our highlights. We appreciated the information on the building's history, details of the nearby buildings, sports venues, and historical places that were pointed out. We recommend this tour to any visitor or current resident of the area who hasn't done this yet. Please arrange for a reservation time as the observation tour isn't available every day. read more
