I was diagnosed with Covid on February 13th. On February 15th I woke up with extreme pressure in my left ear and no hearing. My right ear had slight pressure and muffled hearing My primary doctor referred me to Ohio ENT. I saw Dr Lowery today, March 14th and he was so kind and compassionate and explained everything in detail to me so I understood what he was going to do. He did a myringotomy and it was painful but it also was instant relief. The pressure is just about gone and I have regained most of my hearing. I actually cried in my car on my way home I was so happy I highly recommend Ohio ENT and Dr Lowery! read more

I was a patient of Michael Martyn, MD, and my experience with his care was extremely disappointing and concerning. My first visit was in December 2025. When Dr. Martyn entered the room, his appearance and demeanor immediately raised concerns about professionalism. I explained in detail that my ears retain moisture, which causes frequent wax buildup and infections. I also explained that my father and I share this condition and that his ENT successfully prescribed Sulfacetamide Otic capsules, which had also worked for me in the past. I specifically requested this medication. Instead, Dr. Martyn prescribed an antibiotic containing amoxicillin, despite my medical chart clearly stating that I am allergic to penicillin. Because of this error, it took two weeks for a replacement prescription to be sent. I took the antibiotic for 28 days, during which there was no improvement in my infection, and the left side of my face became swollen. When I contacted the office again to request the Sulfacetamide Otic capsules, I was told Dr. Martyn wanted me to come back in for another visit. My second appointment was in early January 2026. During this visit, it became clear that Dr. Martyn had not reviewed my chart thoroughly and was unaware of previous communications I had with his medical assistant, Chelsea Lenegar, despite her confirming she documented my medication request in my file. Dr. Martyn then recommended a compound pharmacy (Crosby) and stated he would send the prescription. My appointment was on a Monday, yet I received no confirmation the following day. I called multiple times throughout the week and could not reach anyone. After leaving several messages, Chelsea eventually informed me that Dr. Martyn was in surgery and had not yet signed off on my prescription, assuring me I would hear back by Friday. I did not. By the following Monday, I still had no update. At this point, my condition had worsened, my face was visibly swollen, and there was no sense of urgency from the office. I was forced to escalate the issue to Jessica Kondy, a supervisor above both Chelsea Lenegar and Dr. Martyn. Only two weeks later, I was informed that Dr. Martyn had finally reviewed my file and stated he would need either a photo of the medication bottle or a prior prescription and that he "probably" could prescribe it. After weeks of waiting, worsening symptoms, and repeated follow-ups, being told he might be able to help was unacceptable. This experience made me feel that my care was consistently deprioritized. As an African American patient, I could not help but feel dismissed and unheard throughout this process. Regardless of intent, the lack of responsiveness, organization, and urgency reflects very poorly on patient care and safety. I would not recommend Dr. Michael Martyn to others, especially those needing attentive, timely, and compassionate care. He is racist towards African American and will not care about your needs read more

The only time I go here is to have my ears cleaned. So I don't have a lot to say about it , dr Martin Is who I see and he is very nice and does a quick job of cleaning the wax out of my ears. They remolded the lobby a few years ago and is very nice with a lot of seating and beautiful large pictures on the wall that one of the staff member took . read more

Went to Ohio ENT & Allergy on Betel today for an ENT specialist consultation. I really liked Dr. Powell a lot. He is very personable and listened to my concerns and we talked about what we could do. In addition, he came highly recommended. It was the best experience given I was a bit nervous for my first appointment, and Stacie, Betsy & the staff were awesome! It was even a smooth registration and check in process with the much appreciated COVID-19 extra procedures and screening. Dr Loochtan and his team - maybe the worst medical experience I've endured - the second would be at his Delaware office - his team isn't prepared - they don't look at the patient info thoroughly- we schedule a full hearing test and they only had us for a pressure test on tubes.... They tell you to point during the test negating the reason to test the child. (Laura A) is the only one who knew what she's doing and is the audiologist- she was great Put us in with another with another family (different last names) thought we were together.... I had been thinking about seeing an ENT physician for a while since I had several issues that needed to be addressed with them regarding hearing loss and vertigo going on. They eliminated the hearing loss and now it seems the vertigo is the biggest issue. To see an Ohio ENT you must have a physician referral. You can't just walk in and say you want to be seen here. I had to see my doctor and explain to him why I think I would be a good candidate for a hearing loss check up and vertigo. Both issues my own physician tried solving before sending me here. The vertigo was an ongoing issue but he has a plan for that this summer when it will get ten times worse for me at Disney World with all the rides. Right now we are just doing the tests to confirm the vertigo is as bad as it was diagnosed to be. Once he gets the results, we will talk about possible treatments or staying on medication to resolve the issue. Looking forward to hearing what Dr. Hall has to say about the VNG test as I'm certain it didn't go as well as the hearing test. Awaiting my results for next week at their second location. If your looking for an allergy physician, consider getting the referral first from your physician then coming here for the check up. Their doctor's are board certified to handle any ear, nose or throat issues you may have. read more

Last year I came down with Mono and I was even hospitalized overnight for observation, well after that I was referred to an ENT by the doctor at the hospital. This is where Ohio ENT comes in, I made my first appointment with Dr. Martyn last year and he checked my tonsils and said they were in good shape, however if I get any sore throats etc.. to call him , he was in my bullpen if needed. Fast forward to around January and I had a bad sore throat that I thought was the start of the flu, I went to urgent care and I was given medicine, however that didn't help and I made an appointment with my PCP and she suggested going back to my ENT. An appointment was made with Dr.Martyn and he remembered me and checked out my throat and after asking questions to my girlfriend and I the judgement was made to remove my tonsils. Dr.Martyn suggested getting them out and his assistant Annie and I made the appointment for the surgery at Ohio Surgery Center, she was very helpful suggesting eating frozen grapes during healing, but also other items. A few weeks back I had my follow up appointment with Dr. Martyn and he said things are looking great! I highly recommend Dr. Martyn, he was voted a top doctor by his peers and does great work. read more

This was by far the biggest waste of my time and money I've ever experienced. I paid a $40 copay for a doctor to literally tell me "I have no clue why you're having the sinus issues you are". I was in his office for a total of 10 minutes and he just looked up my nose like a general physician would. I then receive a bill in the mail for $340 dollars. After calling and disputing and doing literally everything I thought I could, I am now paying $310.88 out of pocket for LITERALLY NOTHING. Nothing. Do not agree to anything while in this office unless you 1000% know what it is and the cost. read more

I can't give a lower rating than original review, but I have to retract where I said "come here for the surgery". Everything about this place stinks and I regret it. It's more like an ENT assembly line that's overcrowded than an actual doctor's office. On just about all of my visits the time I spent with actual doctor was 3-5 minutes for an appointment that takes over an hour. They SUCK about returning phone calls. One time I waited three damn business days for a return phone call regarding a medication question. It's almost impossible to get a person on the phone for anything beyond scheduling an appointment. With the exception of one doctor that retired, the others I've seen asked me a couple of questions and then tried to get the hell out as quickly as possible. I came in for a hearing test because my ears were always hurting from being sensitive to loud noises. I went through a hearing test with a few staff members, the doctor came in, stood right next to the doorway and barely entered the room, and said "yeah I see nothing wrong with you, your hearing levels are great" and he didn't go any further. His body language and how he spoke just a 100% told me he was itching to leave the room and he wanted to get this over with because he was over-scheduled with patients. He didn't give a shit why my ears were hurting and why I was there in the first place, I had to keep asking him questions to try to keep him in the room. He finally suggested I look into customized ear plugs that they charged hundreds of dollars for. Pff. A nurse for another doctor is totally incompetent and I felt like if you got on their bad side they would make me pay the price and there would be consequences, like they would "forget" to do things. After a long winter last year I decided to get some allergy testing to see if this was causing my symptoms. When I checked in for my appointment, they had me fill out some paperwork using a tablet, which I really liked as alternative to paper. I then proceeded to wait.... and wait. I was taken back to a room approximately 30 minutes after my appointment, and then was not seen by the doctor for a while longer. Then the testing was started and redone for a few allergens, which took quite a while longer. The doctor was pleasant and knowledgeable, also apologetic about running behind. She gave me several prescriptions and had me schedule a follow up appointment. I really don't have a lot of issues with allergies so I have not needed to return. I definitely would recommend to make sure you have an open schedule in case you run into the issues I did. My appointment ended up being a few hours, which I did not expect. read more

I'd give 1 star, if not for the fact they did correct my septum - BUT they DID NOT FIX MY BREATHING ISSUE. I was seen by Dr.Martyn, and I can't speak for the others, but AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. He is negligent, careless, doesn't seem to actually pay attention to anything, and would rather put a patient through hell, than admit he didn't do his job properly. To explain: my airway was impacted by my septum, but ultimately the main problem was at the point where the nasal canal starts, my deviated septum had moved the cartilage (or whatever) over to where it closes off my airway. When he did my initial exam, he didn't bother to fully examine my nose, assumed I just needed my septum moved over, did a Surgery - and only moved the septum, didn't fix the airway. Since then I have spent MONTHS as he continues to find new ways to explain away the issue. I've gotten a horrible sinus infection, he prescribed me meds - then he never calls them in. A whole day passes by and IM the one who had to make it happen by calling and asking for it, which the receptionist was rude as hell even though I was totally polite (I know it's not her fault). It's just awful. A surgery and couple months later and I am WORSE than when I walked in the door. I had to literally threaten to cut my own nose with a scalpel if he didn't actually do something. Again, I can't say anything for the other Doctors, but I promise you - Dr.Martyn is the kind of outdated Doc who doesn't have 2020 level customer service - aka treating your patient like they're worth a damn. Pretty damn sure I'm being treated this way because of who I am and what I look like, I highly doubt rich suburban white woman tolerate this discrimination... read more

I would have given five stars, however I had an unfortunate experience with the billing dept., not over billing or anything like that. I called to let them know that I was there, in the parking lot, ready for my appt. as I was instructed in a text message. When I called the number, I ended up in the billing dept. and a lady answered. I told here I was the for my appt. She let me know that I was calling the billing dept. I let her know that the phone message was confusing and said maybe they should change it (so people don't end up calling the billing dept). The lady yelled at me like a drill instructor. I thought patients were to be treated cordially. Not with the Billing Department. I'm sure that they are familiar with is this lady and know who she is. read more

I was referred to the ENT on perimeter Dr for a 6 month long sinus infection. He prescribed an antibiotic I was allergic to then put me on bactrim which didn't work. I was seen at a local urgent care who put me on the correct antibiotic and a steroid. I was told by the ENT to be seen by their allergy department. I made an appointment and had to cancel due to having to take Benadryl because of the F3 tornado that dropped right by house. When canceling the woman was angry. I've tried to reschedule multiple times with the allergist at perimeter Dr. So today I called what I thought was the bethel Rd location and explained everything to the woman and she was extremely rude and told me she's the one who answers theirs phones and does all their call backs. She told me I wasn't calling them because she would have called me back. Extremely defensive woman. I will not be returning. They are extremely unprofessional and the doctors don't care to look at your chart before prescribing medication. Thankfully the pharmacy does! read more

I have been trying to pay off a bill for over 3 months, but their website always says "something went wrong" whenever i attempt to make a payment. I have called and left over 4 voicemails about the website and asking them to contact me so I can pay, and no one has called back or contacted me in any way other than a bill in the mail. I can't say their customer service is bad... as I have not even gotten to experience it because they will not contact me and their website will not work. read more

I can't recommend any Doctor more highly than Dr. Fleming. I've had chronic lung issues for years, as well a serious cough. I needed to use a nebulizer daily. Dr Fleming fixed that situation completely! read more

So far, I have been very disappointed with my experience with Ohio ENT and Allergy Physicians. They are very difficult to reach by phone. I have used my entire lunch breaks sitting on hold, listening to the recordings of their "you're still on hold, but your time is valuable" over and over. When I did meet with them, the doctor took less than five minutes looking at my throat, prescribed me a medication and left. The medication hasn't worked, and the wait time to get back in to make an appointment to look into it further has taken over three weeks. read more

I had an appointment here recently. This was a referral from my family doctor. I made an 8:00 am appointment so that I could get to work once my appointment was done. I arrived at 7:45 am to be seen by the doctor at 8. (Yeah right.) After sitting in the lobby filling out paperwork on a tablet, I was called in to see the audiologist for my hearing test, who introduced herself to me. Once I was done with the test, I was asked to go back out to the lobby. At this time the lobby was full of people. Shortly after waiting, I was called into a room to meet with the doctor. The nurse that called me in must of been in a hurry. There were a couple of times she had to look back to see if I was keeping up with her. As we got into the room, she asked a few questions but I don't recall her introducing herself. I had asked a couple of questions and it seemed like I was bothering her because her answers were very short. After she was done, she advised that the doctor would come in shortly to see me. The doctor finally came in and went over my test results from my hearing test. Keep in mind that I knew who my appointment was with, but he never came into the room to say, "Hi, I am Dr. So & So." He didn't have much of a 'bedside manner' so to speak, but he shared with me the results and said that I have option A and option B. NO recommendations from the doctor. None. No suggestions. Nothing. (Keep in mind I am not asking to be pampered or spend all day with the doctor, but c'mon!). To me it seemed like he didn't want to know much about me and he needed to quickly get me out the door. I was then sent to a different waiting area. The nurse came over to me after a few minutes and asked me "what does the doctor want you to do?" Honestly, he just told me to sit here and wait. She had to go find the doctor and came back to me to ask what I wanted to do. I scheduled an appointment with the nurse behind the desk. Before I left I had advised her that a certain date and time would work. She made the note as well in her calendar. I asked her if I could have a card to remember the appointment and she said, "you put it in your phone, didn't you?" I shook my head and walked away. My next appointment has been cancelled. I am not going there again. (FYI, when I made the comment to the nurse that it was a busy office, she said that they had 23 doctors in that office. No wonder they were all speed demons and needed to get you out of there in record time!!!) read more

I would give zero stars but I don't have the option. Horrible service, do not use them for your sleep apnea needs. Got charged a boatload of money for tests after I all ready had taken the tests somewhere else only to get the same results. $2500 to be exact, that's a lot of dough. Then they sent me to collections over a $30 copay after I asked if I owed them anything else and they said no. Terrible, do yourself a favor and go to OSU they are so much better, if you have Ohio Health then good luck I hope it works out better for you then it did for me. read more

I was very impressed and pleased with Dr. Philip Rancitelli of Ohio ENT (Bethel Road) when I was tested for allergies this fall. He was professional and kind, fully explaining the procedure. Even though I didn't test positive for any specific allergens, he listened to my concerns and provided some options/solutions. His nurse Taylor was also fantastic -- very knowledgeable and caring. They are a great team! I cannot recommend Dr. Rancitelli enough. I appreciate the excellent care. read more

After more than a year of near-constant ear infections, we went to see Dr. Hall about getting tubes put in my son Rohan's ears. We were apprehensive, of course, but Dr. Hall answered all our questions and put us at ease. The surgery went off perfectly, and everyone involved was wonderful. As Rohan grew, his tubes fell out. Unfortunately, the ear infections returned, so we had to have them replaced. Again we had a wonderful experience. Dr. Hall is as good with a three year old as he is with the parents. Rohan loves going to see him, and we always walk away happy. The last time we went to the office, we also saw the audiologist. Since Rohan is so young, I thought it would be a little hard to get him to acknowledge the sounds he hears, but again, Dr. Hall's staff impressed us. The audiologist gave Rohan excellent instructions, and he responded well. Overall, this is a superior practice and I recommend it wholeheartedly. read more

I recently switched to Dr. Grant in this group that is located at this smaller less impressive office. The only thing that is not impressive about this office is the staff. I absolutely loved the audiologist. I ge hearing tests about 6 times a year, so I know the drill. I usually have to ask for a personal copy of my results since I keep them and was taught by my old ENT how to read them. At this place I didn't even have to ask. I also got a copy of a letter in the mail that was sent to both my old ENT and general doctor describing my diagnosis. Nice. read more

Dr. Fleming, BIG NO. I was with my dad, who was reffered by his physician from Mount Carmel. He have evening 3:50 pm appointment so the waiting was not bad. Dr. Fleming came in the room and ask whats going on, my dad explain him and he agin asked, why are you here and who sent you kinda questions. I told him his physician send him with thyroid noudles to do biopsy. I also show him the paper about reason for that appointment that we got from dad's physician. Then, he said he is going to get paper regarding my dad. Came back and talk about Thyroid gland which we already know. and he said we're good to go. I asked hih "what's the point of today's visit? and he said "Education". I told him we know those stuffs his physician explain about it and did ultrasound too. And he agin said "I don't know why they made this appointment bcoz we only do surgery after biopsy". First of all, I didn't make an appointment, they(ENT group) called and told me to pick an appointment. Secondly, He didn't act like a Dr. to my Dad. My dad doesn't speak English much and probably that could be a reason :/ He finished with 5 to 7 minutes. And aslo, when he came into the room, he doesn't even know why he is there so he had to go back to get paper about my dad. Such a BAD experience as a NON-AMERICAN patient. This was a significant surgery for me, as it involved the right lobe of my thyroid near the vocal cords, as a speech comm major where much of my identity is personally, professionally, and spiritually. Dr Fleming handled the procedure, pre, and post op incredibly well! As a Columbus VA staff member that knows the importance of CARF and Joint commission standards, end to end I was blessed with as close to a six sigma health experience as could be expected. The fifth star was hoped for but not earned, simply because this procedure could have easily been performed at their offsite location and not Riverside--I understand risk management but three recent clinic operations was sufficient proof that a hospital procedure was not needed. read more

NOT remotely practicing COVID safe practices here on Bethel Road location. Mid July, came in for allergy shot. Entry vestibule has a poorly designed hand wash station. Soap dispenser requires touching and water flow too low to rinse. Is a germ maker, need hand sanitizer station like all other MD offices. Inside, guy in mask takes temps, good there. Receptionist at right window had I'll fitting mask, fell down 10x in a 2 min check in so us patients getting zero protection. Also they were 1 ply, least protection masks I have seen in medical setting. Nurse for allergy shots, two in room, you get one was masked, not gloves but not with patient so likely ok. Older one who we got had gloves but mask was untied at bottom, hanging loosely from her nose and ears so at 1' face distance for shot, as I could see her mouth, zero protection for me as a patient ... this is an allergy and ent office, right ...so patients have RESPIRATORY ISSUES....need the highest COVID safe standards. Will call for actual discussion with MD BUT THIS is my public service announcement for now. Call and complain in advance to be sure they mask up for you, only takes one. read more

Worse place ever ! Doctors are extremely rude and not prepared . I was supposed to have a biopsy and my family dr sent all my information to them and they had no idea about it and then their nurse was so nasty ! I asked for a glass of water and she threw an attitude at me multiple times saying here is your water you requested and then when i said this was ridiculous she snapped at me what is ridiculous ! It took two weeks post referral from a local ER to even be seen. I explain situation and symptoms, in detail, to ER. I have to restate everything to ENT nurse as they never read the referral. After initial hearing assessment, I wait for Dr. Hall, who eventually comes in for approximately six minutes, asking the same questions as the nurse. I didn't get to explain all the symptoms, and he didn't seem to particularly care or listen, as he talked over a couple times. A VNG test was scheduled a couple weeks later. I went in, it happened, and was told I'd receive a call. Never did. I called and had to leave a message. I eventually received a call from an assistant, explaining all was normal, and now Dr. Hall wanted an MRI. I heard from the hospital performing the MRI long before I heard from Dr. Hall's office. Two more weeks later, after sorting out the scheduling wrinkle, the MRI takes place. I never heard from Dr. Hall's office again, though they did try to call once, after I had called and left a message, but left no message. I have left messages and called multiple times since. No return, no followup, no other appointments. ZERO help, and in my opinion, just another hospital out to profit from the ill. Quite literally, thanks for nothing, Dr. Hall. Slow response, bungled enrollment for online viewing (as an extra benefit), the literal worst communication I've ever experienced from a hospital, and nothing but thousands of dollars in medical bills. This is a perfect example of how worthless American " healthcare" really is. Stay far away from this one. read more

I made a simple ear wax removal appointment and was charged an additional 235 dollars for "consultation". I get my ear cleaned several times a year at Ohio Stare (sadly they didn't have open appointments for a few weeks) and have never been charged a consultation fee. I went to see Dr. Powell at Ohio ENT for a facelift consultation. He rushed me out in a few minutes. He really didn't discuss the procedure just said he could do it and his assistant will discuss the cost and scheduling. I would not recommend him. The staff was great. It was easy to schedule the appointment within a reasonable amount of time but the surgeon didn't listen to my concern. read more

I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Loochtan in March. After being checked in, I was placed in an examination room and told Dr. Loochtan would be in shortly. An hour later I was told that he was running late from surgery. I continued to wait in the exam room for another 40 minutes at which point I was told to go home because the doctor had not shown up and they were not positive when or if he would be in that day. I now have a bill my insurance won't pay because the doc never arrived. I understand that doctors run behind; however, Ohio ENT should not expect for you to pay out of pocket for a bill which originated due to their error. When you check in, the nurse may do several standard checks and one of which may be for hearing. During previous visits, this has been covered on my insurance as part of the doctor visit during the coding process. My insurance pays doctor visits at 100% after a $25 copay. Due to the fact that the doctor was AWOL, all of the standard check in procedures were then not covered under my plan. Even before I learned all of this after my April bill arrived, I planned on never returning. YOu would think that after dismissing someone due to an absentee doctor that I would have received a follow up call the next day to reschedule; however, no one ever called. Gee, as far as I know the guy could have died in a car accident on the way there. No communication from Ohio ENT expect for when they sent out my bill (that I otherwise would have never owed). After calling Ohio ENT, they admitted that this was scheduled as a standard follow up visit and should be subject to my copay (which they gladly took from me that morning); however, there was no offer to write off the remainder of my balance that occurred as a result of the doctor failing to report to work that morning... Where is the professionalism? read more
