Didn't give me enough meds to get rid of my condition even though I am severely allergic, so I had to go in a second time. Gave me the incorrect dose the second time and didn't believe me when I called in to tell them they gave me the wrong mg. Was told it wasn't possible. They finally looked it up and then realized they were wrong. Imagine that! Told me the 3rd time that they wouldn't give me any more meds even though the condition is life threatening for me and they didn't give me enough to take care of the issue the first two times. Told me just to apply cream even though I said the cream doesn't work for me. They said, "yes it does." The arrogance to ignore your patients when no 2 people are the same. Playing with people's lives. The entire situation could have been avoided if they would have just listened to me the first time and given me a couple more days' worth. That is all it would have taken because the condition was almost gone. Will never go back to this dangerous place read more

The best urgent care I've been to. I saw both doctors there and they are always friendly and easy to ask questions to. The nurses are great too. They always provide me with the right treatment and I feel so lucky to find an urgent care that I feel 100% comfortable going to!! read more

LOVE SCIOTO URGENT CARE. On a slow day, we're in and out in 25 minutes. And that's long here. Really good doctors - all are former ER docs. Really good nursing staff. Fast, efficient, food medicine at fair prices, and plenty of evening and weekend hours. With our 6 kids, we are definitely frequent flyers here. Worth every penny. If you need a quick place to see a doctor, this is just as good as anywhere else. I arrived about 5 minutes after they opened on a Saturday and there were at least 5 people in front of me. I waited for about 20 minutes to be taken back. A man took my vitals and asked why I was there. He was very impersonable, maybe because they were busy -- he seemed to be "going through the motions." When taking my blood pressure, he didn't even fill the bag high enough to get a good reading, but just spurted out a reading (I know how to take blood pressures and read the machines). He had me do the basic test needed for what I was there for. When the doctor came in, he was the same. Impersonable, quick, and just took my word for my diagnosis even though the test didn't confirm the diagnosis I thought I had. I was pretty surprised about this one, in all honesty. He had no problem writing a prescription for something I really may not have, based on the test (which are reliable tests for what I was being seen for). In the end, I gave my symptoms a couple days without the meds to see if they would go away -- and they did. I have visited this urgent care a few times and this wasn't the best experience I have had -- it was actually the worst experience. The staff have changed since the last time I was there (about 6 months ago), so I imagine this played a role. I'm not sure of the staff's backgrounds, but I know the previous staff had strong medical backgrounds. In the end -- this urgent care is the closest to me, so I would most likely return if needed. Hopefully they have more personable staff the next time. read more

I really appreciate this urgent care! I trust Dr. Pesa and Dr. Rothe for their expertise in medical care! They are very efficient and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. They really take the time to listen and they and their staff are very friendly. They are very reasonably priced compared to other urgent cares. I've never had any surprise billing! I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes and I've been out in under 20 usually. The staff is very helpful and friendly, especially Val. The doctors all really seem to care and don't seem to follow a formula. They seem to alter their care to fit each situation. Unfortunately I've had to return a few times over the past month and it looks like I may be heading back in for a follow up again tomorrow because of a bronchitis I can't shake but they seem determined to make sure I get better. I've been really impressed with their follow up. I'm still fairly new to the area and have been having a hard time finding a family doctor that takes my insurance but I think I get better care here than I would anywhere else. Excellent clinic! Came here to get a rapid COVID test and tested negative. The test was not done efficiently, as the swab is supposed to be inserted 6 inches to collect samples from the back of the nasal passage, therefore the reason I tested negative when I had 7-8 symptoms of the virus. The building itself did not feel sanitary and everything felt out of order and rushed. read more

Used Scioto Urgent Care for an injury I incurred over the weekend. Walked in. Place was clean, neat, and orderly. Front office staff friendly and courteous. Wait was modest, about 30 minutes. The medical staff was professional and efficient (Dr Locsey is no - nonsense and down to business). Recommended! read more

The location is very clean and the staff extremely friendly. There was no wait time when I stopped in, noon on a Tuesday. The nurse was nice, but the physician didn't spend very long with me, but he was friendly. It would have been nicer to have talked longer but in a pinch when you can't see your primary care doc this definitely works! read more

I had a quick visit here to get diagnosis/medication for a cough that would not go away. As I was leaving I was told I did need to pay any money, but since then I received in the mail a bill for $154.00. Although I had less than five minutes of face-time with the doctor they apparently billed this as "New Patient Level 4" with a total cost of over $400. My insurance covered most of that, which left me with the previously mentioned balance. The billing practices strike me as potentially shady (there are strict guidelines around what is allowed to be billed as Level 4 and to the best of my understanding they did not meet them) and although I'm not tempted to investigate whether they have a habit of overbilling, I will probably not return to this location. read more

I'm a big believer in urgent care centers when a sudden illness arises since it's rare a doctor has an early morning appointment open at the last minute or has extended hours. Staff and doctors were very cheerful, personable and friendly - exactly the type of attitude and service needed when you're not feeling well and find yourself at an urgent care. I went right when it opened and barely waited at all, maybe 5 minutes. They got me on my way with a RX and I am feeling better already. Very convenient location since there are so many pharmacy choices right in that area. This will definitely be my go-to place for unexpected illnesses in the future. I only wish they were open at 9am during the week instead of 10! read more

The service was great, got in right away, no complaints on that end. The billing on the other hand is FRAUDULENT! My bill was for $87.03 (after insurance) and I mailed the payment stub, where I HAND-WROTE $87.03 in the amount sent box and also wrote my HSA Debit card info as payment. About a week later I get a receipt with a nice little note saying that they tacked on a $2 "card processing fee" for a total of $89.03. I checked my HSA account online and yep, they ILLEGALLY charged me $89.03. This fee is not disclosed ANYWHERE on my bill, yet when I called them they claim it is. I also checked on their website for their billing policy, NO MENTION of a $2 "processing fee" for cards: http://sciotourgentcare.com/billing-practices/ and http://sciotourgentcare.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Consent-and-Privacy-Practice.pdf UPDATE 1: 09/17/2015: Supposedly I have received the ONLY bill that doesn't have a $2 processing fee disclosure for cards (which I don't believe). Apparently the fee is automatically applied and charged to the CARD HOLDER (I don't believe this either). The only way around it is for them to issue a refund on the card, and send me a second billing statement and then I have to send in a check. So, I now have to pay for an ADDITIONAL stamp and now a CHECK. THANKS FOR THE HASSLE AND FOR NICKEL AND DIMING ME! No wonder why they don't allow payment through myuhc.com, the insurance company won't allow them to tack on $2 because that is NOT the NEGOTIATED price! UPDATE 2: 09/17/2015 Marc, my issue is NOT with the $2 fee, it is the fact that it was NOT disclosed PRIOR to my card being charged. As a consumer, it is my RIGHT to know ALL fees and charges PRIOR to being charged. The bill has your company name on it, Scioto Urgent Care, as the business owner, you don't think it's your responsibility that the fee was not disclosed prior to being charged to my card? If it really is the billing companies fault, if I were a business owner I would be very upset at a third party company dragging my name in the garbage like that. UPDATE 3: 09/30/2015 After submitting a consumer complaint to the Ohio Attorney General's office, I finally had someone from Scioto Urgent Care contact me to resolve the problem. They STILL have no idea how I'm the ONLY person to NOT have the $2 card processing fee disclosed on my bill (I still don't think this is true). They are supposed to be working with the billing company to see what went wrong. If you pay at the office there is no card processing fee. Why can't you add this to the bill? If you accept payment at the office, why have a third party payment processor in the first place? I did go in and pay (used a gallon of gas) and they did make good on the stamp I had to waste the first time I made the payment. Because it took a complaint to the Ohio Attorney General's Office for them to do anyting (see Marc P's, the business owner, response below that it isn't Scioto Urgent Care's problem) and the fact that it is half a month later and still no answer to why I am supposedly the ONLY person to not have the fee disclosed, I think a 1 star rating is still deserved. read more

Service was really quick because no one was there today, guess its because OSU has a game in a couple of hours. $165 seems a bit steep for a 5 minute doctor visit to just get a zpack and apparently that's what everyone's first visit costs (if your insurance doesn't cover it). read more

I love this place! I've been here twice, when I was unable to wait to see my family doctor, or my family doctor's office was closed and I was having an emergency. I've only seen Dr. Rothe and he's extremely helpful and has a great sense of humor. I've never waited long and I've always been treated professionally by the staff. I recently came in with a cardiac concern and they put me on an EKG quickly. I didn't even know they had an EKG machine. I felt so relieved with how capable the facility and staff is. The staff was so friendly and SUPER helpful. They opened 15 minutes early just to see me because I was waiting outside in pain when I had a kidney infection. I had no idea what I had at the time - they took me right back, doctor diagnosed me in 10 minutes, confirmed the diagnosis with a urine test in 10 minutes, and got me iv fluids for the next half hour. They gave me prescriptions that helped a little and told me if I didn't dramatically improve in the next day or if I got worse that I should head to the ER. So quick, so easy, so friendly. At Scioto Urgent Care I received hands down the BEST medical care I have ever received and that includes ERs, the Cleveland Clinic and my primary care physician. From the moment I walked in to Scioto Urgent Care I was treated with respect and compassion by everyone. I can not remember a time when I was treated by a medical support staff as patiently and compassionately as I was by Maggie and Val at this Urgent Care. All of that being said the hardest part of writing this review is finding adequate and meaningful words to express the depth of my appreciation and admiration for Dr.Rothe. Within in two minutes of meeting him, I trusted him and as it turned out I was right in doing so. I had been to the ER three nights in a row because I just kept getting worse and worse, my primary care doctor told me to go back to the ER. The ER directed me to my primary care doc. By this time I felt too crummy to endure the 5+ hour wait and/or the nurses' and doctors palatable distain. Dr. Roche listened attentively and then quickly devised a treatment plan. I was so relieved I cried. He suggested that we change my medication and that I have a minor procedure. My only regret is that he will never know how truly grateful I was for his help. I was very, very sick and what was even worse I felt hopeless. Dr. Rothe was so sympathetic and responsive it was extraordinary. And I just knew that I was going to get the help I needed. Lastly, I was a self pay. Take my word for it. It is the best money I ever spent. This was one of those times (which are becoming fewer and farther between) when the value of something far exceeded the cost. read more

I told the doctor my problem with sinus infection..he had no problem with prescribing the augmentin for my infection..where the other doctor I visited wouldnt..told me it was only viral & w ouldnt help..meanwhile I'm the one who has been suffering! The thing I love about this place is the staff. They are so friendly and caring every time I go in and I never have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes. My doctor's office usually can't get me in for at least a week if something comes up and this is my go to place to get checked out in the mean time. I sat at OSU ER for 4 hours for my daughters issue of vomiting and diarrhea for 48 hours, finally I called to find out how busy Scioto Urgent Care was and they said bring her right over. The checked me in quickly, she was assessed just as efficiently, and Dr. Pesa gave her an injection for the nausea and vomiting and a Rx and we were in and out in under 30 minutes and that is priceless when your child feels miserable. Both Dr. Rothe and Dr. Pesa are excellent physicians and the staff is pleasant and efficient as well. Kudo's to Scioto Urgent Care. read more
