I certainly wish I would have seen the reviews of this place prior to engaging them. All i can say is that every negative thing that has been said has been confirmed through my own personal experience. From the initial conversation, they want to do it through a texting app, to the in person experience, to the results, all of the employees, aside from the doctors themselves, are absolutely dumb. Like can barely complete a full sentence dumb. The facility is dirty and unkept, it feels like a Red Roof Inn in a red-light district. read more

While the doctors at this location are great, the staff never answers the phone. The phones are answered only 1 out of 10 times when called. They very seldom return phone calls, and lab results are provided a month after you take the test. Please be aware of this very, very, very, very slow process. It appears that they are understaffed. I wish I had not done my test with them. read more

I would not recommend this practice. The administrative staff were extremely rude, inflexible and lacking empathy. HORRIBLE customer service. My latest example is I had an in-home sleep study done and am waiting for my follow up appointment. In the meantime, my jaw is locking up in the mornings (due to my apnea mouthpiece) and I'm having trouble eating. I called the office and left a message on a Monday morning asking to speak to someone about it. By Thursday morning I still had not received a reply, even after sending two additional text messages. So I called back and left an angry message wondering how to get a hold of anyone. I got a call back that afternoon and the receptionist said she would check and get back to me on Friday. She never called me back. I would NEVER recommend this place unless you want to be strung along and be constantly frustrated that you can't get a hold of anyone there. read more

Just spent the night in their sleep lab. I would not recommend. The bed was dirty-sheets were covered in loose dirt and crumbs-obviously had not been changed. The carpets were dirty and overall conditional was below the standards of a Motel 6. It's a shame they can't spend a few dollars to updated the facility and assure that it is clean. I can't imagine money being an issue since they seem to be very busy. Two weeks to get results from sleep study and a lengthy wait to get an appointment. Shame on the greedy doctors of this practice for not wanting a more welcome experience for their patients. I will be getting my results and moving on. read more

The care recommended was not covered by our insurance and was never disclosed it wouldn't be covered. When we reached out to the billing department she was very nice and said the charges would be removed since it wasn't covered nor disclosed it wasn't covered. I thought nothing more about it until I received additional bills for that amount. I reached out to billing again to find out if these were new bills or the original bills that weren't removed and never heard back. I have reached out multiple times via voicemail since no one answers the phone, I left messages at the front desk, I have used their online portal, I have texted multiple times, yet nothing was done and I was never called back for over two months. The bills have now gone to collections, the thing I was trying to avoid. The doctors are great, but good luck with the support staff, billing, and good luck to you if you have any issues that need a timely resolution. read more

Ask for Deepa Patel, NP! I have been seeing her for over 5 years now. She was right on the money with my diagnosis, even BEFORE, my official sleep test. Although, to be treated properly and at a reasonable price, a sleep test and "nap test" had to confirm this. Darn insurance!! Anyhow, she was able to help my manage even more thoroughly after my test. Note: It was managed well before but again, because of insurance I couldn't get the medicine I needed without proof aka sleep test. She is so caring and a fantastic provider. Every. Single. Time. I send her a message through the portal or call her she calls back within 24 hours! How many providers can you say that about?? Maybe 1/10. Highly recommend Deepa! She is a fantastic provider and cares deeply for her patients. Giving a 4/5 star rating because the office really is not great about getting back to patients. The scheduler for sleep studies, Denise?, is fantastic at returning calls (and Deepa as i mentioned), but that is it. it is very hard to get in touch with the provider you need unless you message them directly. read more

If you are having any issues with sleeping, Dr. Roy can help. We tried Ohio Health Sleep Services and were very disappointed. Dr. Roy really cares and listens. He is very detailed and follow ups with you. His staff is courteous and professional. It is also nice that you can get your needed equipment at the same location. Very Shady Place and Dr. Roy was unreachable. I was let go by one employee without HR present so it was my word against his. He could have said I quit for all I know. I was hired as a sleep tech with little experience but promised by Dr. Roy that I would be fully trained. I trained for seven days but only received about 1 full day, if that!) On day five of training I was told I was doing great and would begin my shift the following week. On day seven I was finally told my hourly rate of $15 which was lower than we discussed. One hour later I referred a friend that was registered, and within an hour of referring her I was let go. Obviously due to her being register. I stated she would not be working there and they were shocked. Basically in the end I would not recommend this place for employment. The person training me continuously said things to me about the performance of other employees. A big HR problem. Not to mention they make jokes about patients. Sad place. read more

Communication is poor before during and after; the accommodations were dated and the carpet was dirty; you're not offered even your own cup to drink water so you must bring your own beverages and drinking utensils; and because of booking issues it takes over 2 months to get your results. All of this on top of a huge co-pay. read more

Dr. Asim Roy, MD and the staff are fantastic. When I scheduled the consultation the lady said it would take a couple hours, which was great because sleep apnea is serious and should take some time for the physician to do his job and ask questions. I was back in his office on time and we chatted about my previous sleep apnea consultation with another doctor that was a total joke. He looked inside of my mouth and asked if I still had my tonsils which I do and noticed I have a overbite and a small mouth. He said those are many contributors to my sleep apnea instead of just noticing I was overweight and snore a little bit(my wife was there to bring out the truth). I look forward to talking with Dr. Roy again over the summer. I will highly recommend him to other friends who may need assistance. read more

Schedule for appointments not followed. I have been going in for a yearly check each year middle of May. This year it was changed because of "a change in staffing." Didn't get an appointment until today at 5 pm. At 5:45, I left, not having seen the doctor. I have been seen as much as 30 minutes late for a first appointment of the day. The same has happened to my wife. I will be moving on. read more

If you want office staff that doesn't do their job and tell you that you have an appointment and forget to write you in MORE than once, NEVER return a phone after call they promise to get back to you then by all means come to the Ohio Sleep Medicine Institute!!! 2nd Sleep study was Dec. 22, I was supposed to have an appointment within a couple days with the doctor. Office staff forgot to put me in. Finally I called ; they could not see me until January16th! They scheduled me for my Cpap pickup appointment not until February 8th. They were to call me second week of January to give me the cost, I had to call twice finally on January 30th office staff still had not looked it up, I said I would see them the 8th of February- and guess what !!!! Once AGAIN my name was not written in time slot like my card says and maybe I could be seen by middle of March! Needless to say I had a very upset wife ready to strangle someone because she wants my snoring to be silent- which is what it was in the actual sleep study with Cpap. Completely inept office staff they do not care about the patient and especially do not care they do their job correctly. read more

I had my sleep tests in February and they misplaced my file. The lady who was supposed to take care of sending my file claimed in April that she was behind in her work and it hadn't been found till I called. Here it is July and the Medical equipment company who handles ordering their equipment for patients says my stuff was cancelled. No one ever called me!!!!! Terrible! read more

Be prepared for a LONG wait. ZERO regard for the patients time. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a 4 minute and 42 second appointment that could have been done over the phone. It is obvious they will make sure your insurance is billed to the max at whatever inconvenience to you. read more

My apnea kept my fatigue level high, stamina level low and with CHF and cardiomyopathy (non-etiological/idiopathic), my cardiologist wanted a sleep study. This outfit is top notch. Dr. Schmidt offers intelligence, compassion, a very lean and efficient office staff, very helpful lab techs, an adequate facility for sleep studies, and explains thoroughly the procedures, test results and diagnoses. He was detained longer than expected and his staff even apologized profusely, asking if they could bring something to eat or drink until he was able to see us. Now where have you found that kind of customer service/patient appreciation? I recommend without any hesitation this practice and Dr. Schmidt. read more

I have had a terrible experience every time I have visited this office. The appointment times are almost meaningless as I have had to wait an hour or more each visit to talk with the doctor for five minutes. I once even had to leave before seeing the doctor to make it to another commitment on time. The staff is not friendly nor welcoming and the doctor doesn't seem to want to do more than write me a prescription that they force me to pay the price of an office visit for. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone. read more

My son went in for a study telling them up front he suffered from insomnia and needed something to help him sleep in order to see if he had apnea. They refused. Then he failed the sleep study test as he expected. He was told he was one of five that ever did that in their office history. The doctor told him he needed another test but wouldn't be charged for it, and he needed a nap session as well. My son was tentatively moving and the doctor wasn't excited about trying to fit another sleep study in so quickly but it was scheduled. My son then found out that his new job move was delayed. So he called the main office number 44 hours in advance to reschedule since the doctor said that it was more desirable to wait. The office person never called my son back until I got involved since I was paying for the tests. And she called my son to reschedule but in the process told my son how angry she was with him for not contacting her cell number directly to cancel the session. So he followed through on the next two appointments. I was then billed for the first study, contrary to what my son was told by the doctor. When I called the office, the same gal said I'd have to speak to the doctor, so I asked to speak to him and was told he'd have to call me later. Fine. Never called. I called back and was told by same gal she couldn't discuss the account w me because of hipaa rules. I get that,IF it's about his treatment. This was about billing only. I asked if the doctor was going to call and she said in a very snippy tone that someone had called my son. I contacted my son who had moved by this time. No one had called him. I paid the total bill but FYI, do NOT trust the office. I have no doubt the doctors qualified, but the ethics are questionable in my humble opinion. I work in a doctors office too, and that kind of behavior from staff would have gained them a warning from the doctor. And why was I charged for 3 visits? read more
