Classmates coach me when I just can't get a movement, can't pick the right weight and cheer me on til the end (long after they've finished their workout). And the coaches - they really REALLY care. They really pay attention to you and make sure you're exercising safely. They cheer you on, pump you up and shoot you a text when they haven't seen you in a while... when they want you to know how proud they are of you. They make you feel like it made THEIR whole day that you walked through the door. All of this and I haven't even told you it's the nicest crossfit facility I've been in...and getting better every day. The owners care about reinvesting in the facility and continue to make it better. And so all of that leads me to this. . . I've fallen in love with crossfit because I'm part of a gym with the best community in town. We each chose different injectable medications -- my daughter got the cheaper semaglutide, and I paid an extra $150 for tirzepatide. But when the medications arrived, mine turned out to be the semaglutide as well, just in a higher dose. When I went back to the clinic to ask about it, the front desk lady gave me an unbelievable explanation -- she told me the medication name printed on the bottle was probably "spelled wrong by the pharmacy." This is original manufacturer packaging, not something a pharmacy prints. That excuse was completely unacceptable. They finally had me speak with the provider, who then gave me the correct product I had paid for. I later spoke with the manager, and the explanation shifted again -- now it was that the provider had "accidentally" selected the wrong product. This is a $150 difference. There is absolutely no reason I should receive a cheaper product than what I paid for, without being informed. It feels dishonest and careless. I signed up for a three-month program, so if I hadn't noticed they gave me the semaglutide formula, I basically got ripped off and overpaid $450 for those three months. My advice to anyone considering this clinic: When you receive your medication, do NOT assume it's correct. Check every detail. Make sure you actually received the product you paid for.
