Big fan of Ohio Thirft stores. It's fun to go explore and see what they have and what you can find. Great if you are on a budget, thrifty, or like to repurpose used items. This trip I found a cool desk and dropped off some donations that I can no longer wear. Just to note, it is also a great place to pick up suitcases and luggage for travel! There are so many different items and they have everything you could think of and more. Sometimes it is hit or miss for me but always fun to browse. I personally prefer to support Ohio Thrift, or Volunteers of America, both over the Salvation Army plus Ohio Thrift seems to have better prices when shopping (in my person option and observation). The Easy Broad store is my favorite Ohio Thrift Store location and they receive drop off donations. Worth checking out if you like thrifting and don't forget to check the back rooms. read more

I can say WOW...have their prices increased! I feel like they have a lot of new stock - I assume overstock/buy outs as I went to the shoe section and found several of the exact same leopard ON booties in various sizes NWT. I purchased two sweaters NTW of $40 and got them for $7.99 - steep for Thrift, but not for a brand new sweater. This is a solid option for discounts, but not for Thrifters. read more

Two parts bulk/liquidation to thrift store, Ohio Thrift Stores's name led me to be surprised by the amount of new clothing items and other kinds of new goods, such as stacks of Coastal Scents eyeshadow in large Z palettes. I also suspect that some items are rebates items as that are familiar to me as an Ibotta user, because of other new in box makeup and nail polish etc. The warehouse size of Ohio Thrift Stores means for once, the men's section does have a dedicated side. There was a wall of hats and new wool acrylic blend socks, different colors of Gold Toe socks, etc. Still, the women's section is front and center as you enter and the men's section is off by the luggage. But the size of the warehouse makes the men's section feel spacious like a department store. High ceilings and some smaller, oddly shaped rooms for linens, books and home wear etc (with a wall for electronics) makes me think Ohio Thrift Store took over some other company's probably non-retail warehouse space. The restrooms are the most peculiar as you have to ask for the key, and are led up the stairs mens and women's bathrooms that smell clean like Clorox. The restroom area is a little like a maze with odd walls. Anyway, I went to Ohio Thrift Stores for the clothes. The brands were decent and the athletic wear section in particular had decent brands such as from Macys, Kohls and Target apparel labels. Sales are three colors on sale at 25, 50 and 75% off. Look for the tv screen which flashes the sales amounts and colors. I went towards the end of the week and did not find much in the three sale colors. The average price might be around $4-$8. Three fitting rooms. I liked the stool and the place to hang clothes, and the return rack outside. But the fitting room was locked and a bit cumbersome to find someone. I will give this place a zero star I I could. I purchased an item that was brand new in a box and it didn't work. I took it back hoping I can exchange it and they said they do not take returns. There was not a sign listed and when I inquire, they said it was on the receipt, which makes no sense. It should've been listed above the electronics aisle. What's the use of having on the receipt after I paid for it again that makes no sense after that I will not set foot in there stores. Because of their deceptive selling practice. read more

The score is more like a 3.5 overall. The prices for clothes are higher than Goodwill, but they also get a lot more close out items. Recently, I've seen new shirts and hoodies from Fruit of the Loom, dress clothes from Loft, brands sold at Kohls and Target and Hunter boots. They also get a lot of drugstore meds. Just check the expiration dates! Also, this is a good place to get party supplies and school supplies. They also sell name brand food like Kind bars, Kashi cereal, Starbucks coffee, bags of candy, etc. Again, check the dates. The area with hardware items is usually cluttered with mostly overused items. But, it's worth a look for small things like Velcro strips, hooks, swtches, etc. They also have a fairly big selection of cleaning supplies priced reasonably. But, be prepared to wait in line awhile. read more

Not too bad for thrift stores. My biggest complaints are the lack of organization and the lack of options. Compared to other Ohio Thrift locations, this location lacks the diverse options. What the heck, this place has reviews all over the place. We were in the area for the weekend and decided to do a "thrift store tour." First time here. I thought the place was pretty great. It seemed clean and had lots of new items. Staff was friendly. If I had any complaints it would be that I thought some of their prices were a tiny bit high and while sizes s-xl seemed to be organized, the plus sizes weren't. You just had to kind of dig through the Large and XL to find a 2x. What's a big girl to do??? Other than that, I thought as far as thrift stores go, this one was top notch. read more

I got a HUGE bag of clothes and other nick-nacks for only $50 This thrift store is very nice and I would highly recommend checking it out!! I visited this store one week away from Christmas, thus I'm sure I wan't getting as great of a pick as other times of year. However, I was not disappointed. Like all Ohio Thrifts, I truly love how clothes are sectioned: SIZE!! I don't have enough discipline to spend hours looking through shirts for larger sizes. Thus, these establishments are a personal fav. A large supply of clothes, shirts, decent selection of housewares. I will definitely frequent this joint (especially on the 2nd and last Wednesday of each month - 50% off!!). read more

This place smells awful. Not sure why. Just kinda moldy smelling or something? It's got a stink in there, for sure. This place is outrageously overpriced. Everything is 3 times the price of items you can find a mile down the road at the Macsway ave. Salvation Army/VOA. A fanny pack had a price of $7 there. A FANNY PACK- not exactly a hot item. Bought the identical fanny pack for under $2 at the VOA. This place sells expired foods for close to retail and markets them as normal grocery. Bought a bag of dog food for 1/2 of retail because it was only expired by about a week or so-- the entire bag was full of mold or spider webs or something? I definitely won't be feeding it to my dogs. Money straight into the trash. It seemed like a deal but they KNEW this dog food was unfit. It looks like it was allowed to get damp or was bug infested or something. Ohio Thrift used to be a reliable, affordable option for shopping. I guess that's what you get when you shop at for-profit thrift stores- ripped off! Did I mention it smells in there? Find any other thrift store or just go to another Ohio Thrift! Most Ohio Thrifts are on the expensive side for thrifting, but this location can be absolutely absurd. I picked up a piece of furniture (rolling TV tray) priced at $10.99, which I felt was reasonable. The manager started an argument with me at the checkout and said that it was actually $29.99. I told her I didn't understand how it was nearly triple the price marked, then she told me "Technically, I'm not even supposed to sell it to you!" Absolutely ridiculous and rude. I love this Ohio Thrift store. Its huge, clean, and they have everything! I usually go there to buy girls clothes for my daughter and always find so much really nice stuff! They also have sooo much nice furniture. New and used. They also deliver for a fee. The workers aren't very helpful and are always standing around talking about their life's drama very loudly and tend to ignore you when you're trying to ask a question. But, I overlook this because I like shopping there so much. They also have their 50% sale each month which I LOVE. read more

Well, what can I say about this place? Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's just another Thrift Store with a bunch of stuff that I'm honestly surprised was able to be donated. They've expanded the back room a bit, which has made vinyl, toys, vhs, books, and other media a bit easier to shop. That's nice. The other side to that coin is that there are minimal standards of quality to what they accept. The vinyl...well...it's hideously overpriced. No attention paid to how it should be displayed. No attention paid to whether or not the sleeve even has a record in it. Can't say much for the VHS. They have a huge selection of mid to late 80's and 90's classics. All of which you can buy on bluray now for the same price. Great place to stop for collectible glassware. I've had great luck in finding some really interesting pieces here in the past. Vintage video games show up from time to time as well. Which is also pretty cool. Not the worst location I've been to, but not the best. Large space, stocked to the gills, one or two cashiers and always a line of four to five people in front of you. With a little bit of effort by the staff this place could be great. read more

It should not be this hard to donate stuff. After ringing their buzzer for 10 minutes, EVEN WHEN WE HEAR SOMEONE ON BACK, even during their posted hours for service, even when we took the stuff to the front and were ignored by the employees in front who didn't even acknowledge our presence - didn't even say "we'll be with you in a minute." We ended up leaving our donation in the front of the store in carts. I hope someone took it all and the store didn't get a dime, because we didn't even decide to look for anything ourselves we were so angry. tldr; don't waste your time. read more

On the plus side of this place, it is organized fairly well and there is lots of cool items that come in through the shop. The staff is all very nice and helpful, but that is about it in terms of good things I have to say. Even though the staff is kind and helpful, They frequently only have one person on the checkout line which drags everything down, but my biggest complaint is just how damn expensive everything is in here. There is absolutely no reason for regular jeans, flannels, hoodies, or 30 year old kitchen items to be $15 and higher, and that is usually the minimum. I don't know, maybe I'm the idiot for assuming that a thrift store was supposed to be for budget used clothes and housewares. I have seen the same rack of sweaters for the past five or six months of coming in here all priced around $30 apiece with nobody buying any of them, and I wonder why. This Ohio Thrift is about as big as the one on Cleveland Ave in the Columbus Square center, but this one is 10 times better! I wish I had had more time to browse in this one-there were quite a few really good deals to be had here, I could feel it. I stopped here on the way back from a fruitless trip to the W. My husband and I went to this location for the first time today. I'm not sure if it's like this all the time, but today the store was definitely 80% or more clothing. I guess that's a good thing, if that's what you are looking for, but I tend to like thrift stores that have a larger mix of items. The one at Cleveland Ave. and 161 remains my favorite Ohio Thrift for that reason. I also didn't feel like this location was organized as well as some of the other locations. read more

This was a great store. I hit the jackpot here while visiting relatives over the Xmas holiday season. They had tons of new clothes from both Falls creek and Coldwater Creek brands that still had new tags. The clothes were well laid out and organized by color and size. Some of them were in the wrong places, but overall shopping was pretty easy. Lots of furniture and handbags, and new luggage that wasn't all that cheap IMO. Some staff did not speak English, and the ones that did were more interested in chatting with each other about their dreams & dramas. The store was neat and clean and there was a lot of variety. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town. NOTE: there are no fitting rooms and no senior citizen discount. Some tags are discounted but those tags were not frequent. I found a sweater in both Medium & Large. The Medium was $3.99 and the Large was $5.99. I wanted the Large but the sales lady would not give it to me for $3.99. She was not very nice about explaining it either. read more
