    Bins on bins
    Dillon L.

Thrifting is a great hobby and Goodwill is a staple, but this outlet location is not quite what I expected. It felt as though the minimal amount of effort required to consider it "organized" was what's going on here. They don't even price individual items, instead you pay by the pound, $1.59 for normal goods like clothes and household goods, and then $0.59 a pound for books. There are just piles of stuff to sort through in giant blue bins. The potential allure seems to be more about the experience of digging through stuff than finding something good. Would prefer a normal Goodwill since it's at least somewhat curated and seems intentional beyond dumping out piles of donations into big bins. I felt as though the chance of finding something worth the time spent searching here is too low to make it worth it unless you just love to sift through piles of stuff. Some people will probably like it, but the outlet just wasn't quite what I expected.

The entrance is flush to the strip mall on the left - the right side is for donations only!

This place has been open over a week and no one's reviewed yet? Yelp Cbus is slacking! So the concept here is random stuff chucked in bins and sold by the pound unless otherwise marked. The bins are pretty shallow so you're never completely engulfed in piles of stuff, but having a long reach is really helpful. There's very little sorting apart from bins of things made of fabric (clothes, pillows, sleeping bags [ew], textiles), toys/stuffed animals, householdish stuff, books, and then some larger items like furniture around the perimeter. There's a drink machine, restrooms, and places for tired shoppers to sit, but nothing in the way of fitting rooms. I ended up with two books and a spool of thread for $1.25 total, but this is the kind of place that you have to be in the right mood for (ie, bargain hunter who isn't too picky about having to dig). My mood was more of a "oh god, what did I just touch?!?" hence the low rating.

One of the attractions of thrift shopping is the hunt. Bad news last. It's pricier than it should be and many of the (gently used) donated items can be purchased cheaper-brand new at the local box stores. I can't remember what used to be at that same location years before, when the mall was open. Maybe another thrift store? The store itself is very bright and fairly large. It's like other Ohio Thrifts, so it has some closeout (expired?) food and some health and beauty items. The prices are high, and some items are well picked-over. But, you can find some deals on occasion. They have 3 discount colors each week and a rewards program to earn coupons. More close outs are in the clothing area (Kohls brands, etc) and lately, a lot of linen items such as sheets, duvets, towels, etc. This is also a good place to buy cards, party supplies and decorations. The checkout counter looked like it was being re-done and there were a few specialty items off to the side. Overall, a decent store and I'd visit again.
