Unfortunately I have a serious, rare migraine condition, as well as another neurological condition…read morethat has taken me on a long journey throughout which the Neurologists, Physicians' Assistants, Nurses and other staff at Columbus Neurology and Neurosurgery, aka OhioHealth Neurological Physicians, have accompanied me the whole way. Dr. William Carroll is my neurologist and I would definitely give him five stars. I love this man. He has saved my life and given me back a quality of life I had given up on ever having again. When other doctors had accused me for years of faking, of drug seeking and of just malingering, Dr. Carroll never gave up until we had a diagnosis. After that, he has refused to give up until we had the right regimen of medications and lifestyle changes to give me my life back. He has a very dry sense of humor and is very soft spoken so if you aren't paying attention you may miss what he says or take him the wrong way, but he truly seems to care. I feel like Drs Simensky, Novak, Bruns and Klatte are of the same cloth. I have had to be admitted quite a bit and when these doctors are on call, they all have awesome bedside manner and make sure I get what I need to get back under control and back home as soon as possible, while making sure all my questions are answered well. Dr. Novak has also done all of my EMGs and he is very patient with the fact that I ask a lot of questions. He is also very gentle. The nurses and office staff have always been awesome at helping me with any messages I've needed to leave, getting prescription refills and all the ridiculous paperwork my previous employer required as well as the recent paperwork I needed for my current employer. Abby and Ashley at the front desk are the best and have even helped me out with things I have needed for my own patients at work. Travis, Dr. Carroll's newest nurse, is very prompt and quickly returns my calls and answers emails and messages, making sure to keep me informed of the progress he's making whether it be a refill, paperwork or a referral. The only complaint I have had is that Dr. Nayak is very unpleasant and rude. She's the only reason I couldn't bring myself to give 5 stars. Her answer to everything is that I am fat. That is exactly how she puts it too and she's not exactly svelte herself. She's very impatient. I have always been told to utilize the answering service to contact the on call physician due to the nature of some of the things going on with me and because I am at increased risk for stroke, but if Dr,. Nayak is on call, she very rarely will return my call and if she does it is several hours later. She has made it very clear to me from our very first meeting that she feels like I am a huge waste of her time. I have spoken to other people who have had similar experiences with her and when I have been in the hospital a lot of times the nurses on the floor said they didn't like dealing with her either. If I needed something that required calling the MD while she was on duty, there were a couple on instances where nurses would wait until she was gone and another doctor was on call to take care of it, even if it meant leaving me suffering. I often recommend this office to my patients who are looking for a neurologist or neurosurgeon. They even have physicians who do neuropsychology as well as pain management doctors. From the security staff, the house keepers, the kitchen staff, Nursing staff and the therapists EVERYONE was just amazing. I am so grateful to every staff member who cared for my mother. If a loved one in your family needs care, let this team take care of them. For the family members, stop in the cafeteria because the food was out of this world. Thanks again to every one. My husband was admitted to Doctors' Hospital after having seizures and a stroke. He received…read moreexcellent care there, but after a month, he was transferred to unit 3 West at Select Specialty Hospital near Victorian Village. The staff, i.e. nurses, aides, and physical therapy tried really hard to get him better, but after month here he went home to Hospice. Lauren, the case manager, helped coordinate his transfer from here to Hospice at home. A special shout out to Elaine, Mary, and Sean. Thanks from the bottom of my heart! The other staff were great too but I can't remember everyone else's names. The skin therapy team got him a pressure wave bed to help prevent him from getting pressure sores. Even tho my husband was bedridden for a month, he never got a pressure ulcer. The building itself is very old and was a constant source of discomfort. The room had no air conditioning or heat- none, zip, nada. I brought in a small space heater and I was grateful that no one made me take it home. The ancillary staff were wonderful, too. He couldn't swallow, so he was on a thick liquids diet and a tube feeding. He loved chocolate so the dietary staff worked with me to get him thick liquids he would like. They put special boots on him to prevent foot drop. He was bathed regularly and the staff put in and took out his hearing aides. They never lost his hearing aides! Every day they got him out of the bed and into a chair that was specially made for patients who can't sit up on their own. It was uncomfortable at first, but the nurses always gave him his pain medicine an hour before getting him up, so he was able to tolerate it and the change in position was good for his body and lungs. His doctor kept me informed of changes in his care and he even called me on my cell to discuss things if I didn't see him while I was there. This hospital helped him make it home to me in one very good piece! I'm so sorry my husband died, but he went peacefully.

My wife visited Dr. Joy Tang in August of 2025. She was informed that she was cancer free. My…read morewife asked why the blood results in MyChart Dr. Tang had ordered 2 weeks prior were showing she had cancer. Dr. Tang was surprised by this and could not find anything in her system. She finally had to read results from my wife's phone to make a diagnosis. Columbus Oncology wants full payment for the visit and after 9 months is unwilling to work with us. I cannot recommend.

My new doctor was welcoming, encouraging and straight forward. Soon I was diagnosed and treatment began. I completed treatment six months later thanks to my team of professionals at COHA. I will be forever grateful to my doctor, my nurses, the reception staff (Mary Ann & Keenie), the phlebotomists and Josh the pharmacist for helping me achieve complete remission.

He did the surgery on my left knee. And it had to have a screw put in, also. I saw him today for my 4 week checkup, it was all smiles and laughs. Oh what a wonderful feeling to know that your x-rays show that your implant is fine! And you're healing, progressing ahead of schedule. I know this is because of prayer! He said that the I could have surgery on my right knee as soon as a couple weeks. I know God uses doctors to heal. This man is amazing! I couldn't help but tell him " I love you" before I left. I was so overjoyed.

So I have 3 healthcare insurances. The last 2 insurances are Medicare and Tricare for Life. I'm…read morevery specific when I give my insurances on how they were billed etc. On July 14, 2023 and again on July 24,2023 I stopped into their billing office and told them if they billed correctly I should not receive a bill because Tricare for Life is a wrap around for Medicare and whatever Medicare doesn't cover Tricare for Life covers 100%. When Tricare for Life is billed either correctly or incorrectly I get notified staying they covered xyz amount or they state due to x probably they didn't pay and I'm not responsible for the bill because of their error. ortho one states I owe $283.61 and never billed Tricare for Life and since we're now rolling into 3 years after the fact----Tricare for Life will probably tell them to go kick rocks. I have NEVER received any correspondence about this from Tricare for Life which means they didn't bill. What's sad is these places are notorious for partial billing and sticking the patient with what's left over-----why accept $75 from Tricare when I can bill the patient for a higher amount of $284.61 I've explained it to them repeatedly and yet they still have not billed Tricare for life and yes they accept Tricare for life. Sad really. I currently have a text stating I owe $284.61 and it's their error not mine

The receptionists are the best. The check in process is such a breeze, it literally takes less…read morethan a minute. They have a kiosk set up, the instructions are very easy to follow. The receptionists are helpful and professional. The waiting area is large and comfortable. I've never had to wait too long. Dr. Kovak is good and the nurses are great. The Physical Therapy area is amazing as well. Everyone is helpful and supportive. The whole office is organized and they are phenomenal at communicating!
