The second I walked into Hope and Help center in winter park florida, it was a great experience from start to finish! The place was immaculately cleaned and smelt clean. The receptionist was very organized and had all my paperwork ready and acknowledged me right away before my appointment time. The nurses that saw me were above my expectations. Knowledge, friendly, and professional. They have a great blood drawer. The main female nurse practitioner is so educated and knowledgeable and really knows her field! I love the hope and help center! As a result, it took weeks to get an appointment for results that are now going to be seven weeks out of date when they are interpreted to me in TWO weeks. This is frustrating because I'm very ill, and have other specialists involved, and they are waiting for OH's specific interpretation of results for their own version of care for my condition. Just yesterday, I had an appointment - which Alyssa booked, and I had disclosed that I was wedging it in before an appointment with another specialist, but after a 45 minute wait, I was told it would be another 15-30 minutes. I told them I'd have to leave (and they could see that, because now the waiting room was out of chairs) so I didn't have to pay the $200 last minute cancellation fee to the other place. The doctor I was supposed to see left a recorded voicemail confirming they were (1) ready to give me the results on the phone and (2) they'd call back in 5-10 minutes. This is the next day, and "Office manager" has been the only person to return the call, and... now I'm waiting two more weeks, but my condition will be 7 weeks beyond those results. I've tried to tell them the new emerging symptoms, but they only say "I'm not clinical" when you do that. Meanwhile, getting to actually SEE a doctor isn't even a promise IF YOU GO TO THE APPOINTMENT. The outcome? I'm sicker than when they first saw me, they know that, they make the condition worse by only ever having maybe one appointment available per week (while they claim I'm not flexible), and I'll probably be admitted to the hospital before this place even cracks the seal of those results. They are on recorded lines claiming I'm 5 minutes away from knowing the results, but 7 months after making my first appointment, and I have yet to be seen by a doctor here a second time, with nothing but roadblocks, raised hopes, and lies. If they mean "hey, we'll make your infectious disease way worse without even telling you if, you know, it's contagious" by "infectious disease group", they should be more specific. I'm just kind of stuck with these people, because I foolishly thought maybe it was the doctor dragging their feet, when this instead seems to be a top-down problem from this entire establishment. Lastly, they're going to beat a dead horse if they reply explaining things about "well, we have other patients and..." I'mma stop you right there: I was actually early to my appointment yesterday, and I watched everything unfold. I know why I was skipped. Your cameras do too. You didn't have to lie, lie, lie with every move since. You've ruined my health and killed my hopes to get better. But hey, at least I have my health, righ-- Oh, I don't. UPDATE: Instead of getting my results at the appointment that finally happened? No, the doctor treated it like a new patient appointment, did not disclose them, said they didn't know enough about me (despite having given them plenty of other results), said I'd have to come in and see her personally (though the office manager told me I'm to exclusively see Dr. Crespo after this visit). So, I ultimately don't even know WHO my care team is, and the lady holding my results hostage? NO OPENINGS UNTIL AUGUST 2026. This has gone too far, and this place simply refuses to do anything but jerk me around.

I have been going to Dr. Douglas for several years now. I only need to see the doctor once a year…read morefor my regular check up but every time I have gone, I have been happy with the visit and efficiency of the office. My husband also sees Dr. Douglas (we almost never go together due to work schedules) and my husband has similar experiences. The staff here is great and the office runs efficiently. Dr. Douglas runs on time. I've never had a wait. My husband is typically a difficult stick. The phlebotomist here is awesome and always gets him on the first time. Dr. Douglas is kind and takes a real interest in you, not just as a patient but as a person. Dr. Douglas is a huge dog lover and has photos of his dogs in the exam rooms. It's a nice touch so that the office feels less sterile and more welcoming. It's also nice to get a glimpse into his hobbies/ outside interests. That way you see him not just as your doctor but as a human. Overall I highly recommend Dr. Douglas. He is a wonderful PCP. You want someone who takes the time to listen and gets to know you as a person. The location is convenient for me but even if I lived a little further away, I'd drive the extra distance for a good doctor.

One of the things I most appreciate about Dr. Douglas is how prompt he is, so if an appointment is at 2:30pm as an example, you can betcha that a few minutes later, Dr. Douglas will stroll into the consulting room. I also like that he is through, keeps up to date with the latest medical research and offers genuine, logical solutions that work best for your individual circumstances rather than whatever the latest fad is. RUN RUN RUN from this practice! I am NOT slighting Dr Patel. The issue is after 3 visits I have yet…read moreto see him! The ARNP has the general attitude she runs the practice. They have medical assistants practicing outside their scope of practice ( bladder installations with medications) doing procedures only an RN or higher should be doing. When I complained to the ARNP about this coupled with a lack of sterile procedure and lack of lidiocaine to numb the area that should have been by the medical assistant, she said she would "take care of it". The next call I got was from the practice manager. Are you sitting down? Her call was to "release me" from the practice in the middle of a treatment for bladder pain. It gets better. Today I get a letter from the ARNP- NOT the doctor -"releasing me" from the practice, but willing to treat me until November 15th. It is now October 20th. You think I am going to ever set foot back in there? I have been a patient of that practice for over 15 years. In that time many physicians have left. I have had 3 different urologists here. I have never in my life been treated by a medical practice in this manner. Advent Health this practice is a disgrace! I use many physicians from their medical groups and I have never been anything but happy with every single doctor and staff member. The entire support staff needs a huge overhaul and understand what the term scope of practice defined by the Department of Regulations means.

I was able to tell her about one body part that was bothering me expecting her to give me advice, suggest next steps, tell me it was normal or really any kind of response but instead she just said "ok" and moved on. I asked one question and she looked at me like I was crazy for asking which made me feel really uncomfortable so I didn't ask my remaining questions. The entire trip to her office was a waste of time.

Instead he was familiar with a very new ( back then) procedure called Gamma Knife surgery. I missed one day of work, did not have my skull cracked open nor did I lose and additional hearing.
