Napa Autopro - S&S fit us in on a Friday afternoon just before we were to head off camping for the weekend. The repair was quick, effective and was less than $40 which was the most surprising part of the experience when you will just pay anything to be able to get on the road. The staff were funny, helpful and the collection of antique signs around the shop are really cool. They even took the care to road test and re-torque the lug nuts. Who does that nowadays? They even called after the weekend to make sure I was happy with the repair.

Showed up at 10:00, was told it could be done at 11:30. Dropped it off at 11:00. We returned at 12:40, and they had not even started. So I waited in the front area. It wasn't air conditioned so I got to sweat a bit. I highly recommend that you know in advance that you need to make plans to pass the time. Charge for mid size SUV 6cyl was $135

We figured out that the AC Compressor seized. I call the shop and told them what happened and they told me they would look at it as soon as we got it there. Upon arrival, they confirmed our prognosis and started looking for a new compressor. We had to get back to the west coast for the next morning. No compressor was available that day. We decided to by pass the compressor. After trying a few belts they figured out that if they moved the idler pulley one of the belts would work. We got on the road and got home on time. Scott MacCabe was the person answering the call. He was very helpful and polite. He explained in details what he will do and he came to meet me right in my hotel; in less than 30 minutes he showed up (I was really surprised!!!!!!). We went to the parking garage and after assessing the damage he explained step by step again how he will proceed in order to fix the problem. In about an hour later, he had completed the work. Scott was very professional and friendly. I really appreciate his help; we dont want this type of experiences away from home while on vacation but having someone ready to help in an outstanding manner definitely makes it less stressful.
