Since I looked at some reviews that I thought were for OK Tire at 13 Wright Ave. Dartmouth but did not make any sense, being really bad reviews, I presume that these bad reviews were probably for other address, because they seemed to be completely out of place, so I want to be clear and people to understand that I am talking about OK Tire at 13 Wright Ave. I was there for a 0800hrs appointment for muffler service on Friday, July 5th, 2024. My muffler had been installed 3 years ago at another garage in Halifax and had a lifetime warranty but I could not get an early enough appointment under their new management so I decided to try this new place for me at 13 Wright Ave. The service advisor "Steve West" was professional, pleasant, respectful and efficient, and the man who replaced my muffler was a welder from Ukraine, who did what I believe to be a great job. They were very honest and did not overcharged me, unlike other places where I have dealt with in the past. One of the past place that I had dealt with in the past, as I remember, tried to charge me for 2 hours labour as I had been there for near 2 hours but I had observed that they had my car in the garage for only 50 minutes. Now, I was at OK Tire 13 Wright Ave. for near 2 hours because they had to wait for a part to be delivered. I have never seen this before, I was expecting to be charged for at least one hour labour but they charged me for the exact time that the technicien took to do the job, which was 36 minutes. Can't ask for better than that. I am now retired and I have never been given a 5 stars review by anybody, yet I am a perfectionist, so I don't see why I should give a 5 stars to anybody, yet I decided in this case to make an exception and I am giving a 5 stars. Very disappointed regarding our experience with OK Tire Elmsdale. We had made an appointment for an alignment, but when we arrived the tech told us our inspection was up (it was) so we got our car inspected. It failed (despite being regularly maintained) and we were given a list of "what it needs" so I went to my regular mechanic who did all the work on the list the next day. 2 days later we were able to get back in for a follow up inspection, during which they "found" a bunch more things that they'd "seen" but "forgot" to put on the original provincial inspection report. Took the car immediately to a different inspection place, and it passed with flying colours. I even asked the tech about the things that OK Tire had failed - none were even an issue. I can't say enough about this shop. I have never been treated so well. I've brought my vehicles in many different times both with appointments and in emergency situations. They bend over backwards to help. They are honest, completely upfront on cost and their estimates are pretty much always bang on. I encourage all of my family and friends to go. Duncan has the patience of a saint even when I know I'm being annoying and can't seem to help myself. read more

Will give a zero star if it is an option. The worst auto service I had ever. Both the technician and the desk service are terrible. Paid couple of hundred bucks for repairing , but nothing was fixed. No explanation/apology and very arrogant. The WORST service ever! Strongly recommend NOT to come here. Don't waste your time and money, unless you want to find out how bad the service could be. read more

Dropped my car off this morning for an oil/tire change and to determine/repair an issue with my exhaust. I figured with the time of year it would be hard to get an appointment, but they told me to drop it off before work and I'd have it back by end of day. Not much parking, but I just pulled in and the guys moved my car for me. No shuttle service, but since I work nearby I just drove my car to work with one of the technicians and he drove it back. They called me prior to doing any repairs with price, time frame and explanation of issue. Very friendly and convenient service. Thanks! read more

Terrible customer service! I arrive for my 8:00am appointment a few minutes ahead of time. There was a group of mechanics standing outside a bay drinking coffee. I got out of the car and said I was here for an 8 o'clock. The older mechanic addressed me and said that there was some mud on the car, I appolgised immediately but had no idea it was going to warrant the following response. He told me to wash my car before he would do any work in a belligerent manner. "I'm not f**king going under there and getting dirt in my eye first thing in the morning. You take that and get it washed, I'm not f**king doing that". It was as if the group was back in highschool and the older mechanic who addressed me needed to show off in front of the others. That was for a simple front-end camber alignment, and I thought you're supposed to use goggles when under a car anyway? I couldn't believe this is how a customer was treated. This complete lines up with the experience had by the other reviewer, very arrogant! Definitely avoid this place when there are so many other options! read more

I'd also give them a zero star if it was an option. Their website does not provide pricing. Making it impossible to make an informed decision online. You need to request separate quotes and wait a day or more to receive a response. This is 2014 - not 1989. read more

This place sucks, I ordered tires on Monday, they messed up the quote and put one tire and had to re-order Tuesday, then they told me to come in Wednesday and I had to come across the bridge in rush hour after work and they tell me come in tomorrow, so I drove all te way to dartmouth in bad road conditions with no snow tires and they're like "yeah just come in tomorrow" wtf. Then I get here after work again and they're like no we don't have you tires again, wtf, and they're just wondering around and stuff like they're not concerned at all. BAD SERVICE. read more

I ordered winter tires that took almost 2 months to come in and after paying for them I found out they were the wrong size and needed to be returned. The two people I interacted with when I went into the shop were unapologetic about my order, but what really bothers me about my experience at OK tire in Dartmouth, and motivates me to write this review is that staff were very condescending. They asked me if I even knew my own tire size, told me "we don't do computers here" when I showed them the email quote for the correct tire size that I had ordered, they went into an elaborate description about how they always double check with customers over the phone so they couldn't possibly have made a mistake, etc. They were awful. read more

This 1 star is only because the staff were friendly. It took me a total of 4 visits and more than 3.5 hours to have 4 brand new winter tires and rims installed today. The first time I left I made it across the street and noticed a grinding noise coming from my rear wheels. They discovered springs on my brake calipers scraping against the rim because they forgot to install spacers. 30 mins later I got around the block and noticed a loud clicking noise coming from my tires. This time they discovered the wheel balancing weights were knocking against my brake calipers. 45 mins later I got home and my low tire pressure warning light came on. Went back to OK Tire yet again and they discovered the mechanic and put the washers on the valve stem incorrectly. All of these problems were very noticeable upon inspection and should have been picked up before I left. I spent $1600.00 on new winter tires today, and received negligent shitty service.Highly not recommended, please spend your money somewhere else. read more
