There was a friendly family to check us in. They helped us find a place to get some food at 11:00 pm (the 7-11 down the street as this town shuts down early). There was free Wi-Fi and cable in my room. The room was huge, much bigger than the 2 of us needed for 1 night. We had a double and a queen bed. There was a full kitchen and a good sized bathroom. The only real complaint is that I wish the windows had curtains, they had the horizontal blinds but really could have used curtains on top of that. The parking was also a bit cramped and the place is "retro", but I like that feel. Outside there was a pool and a playground as well. Very child friendly. Overall it was a great value for the money. I would stay again anytime.

After our first tasting he noted our wine palate as a group and changed our next location on the fly because he felt it would be a better fit - he was completely accurate in his reading of the group/palate and the change was amazing (a lot of us felt it was our favorite experience of the tasting). We all bought a ton of wine but none of us ever had to carry a bottle out to the van (he did all of the heavy lifting, after individually labeling each bottle for easy sorting later! - this was a great touch). Between each winery he offered us snacks and water. He pays extreme attention to detail (even changed into dinner attire just to drive us to dinner!), provided information about each experience as we were arriving, had two impeccably clean vehicles for us and played music that was appropriate for the time of day/mood of the group. The woman who did our tasting was very informative and knowledgeable on the wines, the history of the winery and did a great job walking us through the wines. I fell in love with their Caruja, which is a dessert wine. They had a white and red version and I loved them both. They had lots of fun things in their store, many owl and bird themed items. This place is absolutely worth the stop! But I'd make a reservation so you don't have to weasel your way in like we did.

There was vomit on the carpet, tile, two beds and all the towels. Lea had her team wash the carpet, strip and replace ALL the bedding and even washed my daughters favorite blankie that we brought from home. They brought it back to her warm from the drier as soon as it was done for her much-needed nap. We have been coming to the Waterfront Inn for many years and we were a little nervous about it being under new management but what an upgrade! Lea and her team are incredible and we are looking forward to going back next year.

Of course NOTHING was open, and I had to get back to to work Sunday. The wonderful hostess called the owners son Cole, who works on cars. He offered to take my car and try to fix it for me! Sure enough, around midnight, we get a knock on the door, and there he is with a smile and my car key! I cannot tell you how helpful, and kind they all were! Just today they called to make sure we made it safely home! We will definitely be back, and recommending them to everyone who wants a lovely place to stay in Penticton!
