This is such an adorable teahouse with really great flavors to match! My first visit to Okie-dokie was better than expected! Atmosphere: I visited early in the morning on a Saturday as they first opened up. The place was already open and clean offering a nice k-pop vibe. I sat near the window to enjoy the sunlight coming in. The inside was still cool enough to be comfortable. Everything about this place is very green and bright with vaulted ceilings and a nice aesthetic, atmosphere. Flavor: I had the Taro/Ube milk tea and it was perfect. I had 25% sugar so it was not too sweet. I appreciate the choice in level of sweetness. But the best part of their menu is definitely the food snacks. I had the crawfish deluxe fries, which were absolutely phenomenal. So unexpected but definitely the right twist on fries showing they are in tune with the local area and Louisiana influence. I also had the popcorn shrimp which was equally delightful very hot and freshly cooked. Location: This is a really nice low-key place in West Houston that I hope people will enjoy for years to come. There are plenty of vending machine games as well as board games with plenty of space for you to come hang out with friends or enjoy solo time. We were SO impressed with our first visit here yesterday after a local school orientation! We met one of the owners and she was the nicest!!! I had mentioned that we visit tea houses multiple times a week and her tea is much stronger which I appreciate because most other places are just so so sweet. And she explained that they steep and make their tea every few hours versus making bulk and storing it for several days and that they use a specific kind of organic sweetener instead of fructose which I again absolutely appreciate for my family! I did kumquat aloe vera tea, my boyfriend did the fruit tea, and my son got the mango passionfruit tea- everyone was very pleased! Even if you're not a big teahouse person, this is perfect for there's hot weather go give it a try. We will definitely be back to this location! Oh, and the mini shrimp spring rolls were delicious. The only one suggestion I would have is for them to have hot sauce or Sriracha available, but they come with a sweet-and-sour sauce. "DAMAGE CONTROL" Recently I shared a review of how disappointed I was in a recent visit and how my chicken was not prepared correctly. The manager replied to my comment but received the wrong picture. I called and spoke with TEAM LEAD CESILLIA DE who was the most pleasant person ever. She sincerely apologized for the issue and wanted to make things right. She emphasize how they aim to please and would reevaluate the problem and fix it. She offered to remake the food and inquired when can I come in. Well here we are today I decided to come in and do some work today. Can I say bomb.com with customer service. CESILLIA DE immediately knew who I was and greeted me with the nicest smile and excitement to make things right. I choose to patronize them with purchasing additional items due to how well they handled my concerns The popcorn chicken was ordered with extra basil and spicy Spicy shoestring fries with spicy seasoning Mango slushes with fresh mangoes on top with basil leaves. Everything was absolutely amazing and fresh. I was well pleased. The atmosphere was so rewarding with nice jazz playing in background. Always passed by Okie Dokie and finally got a chance to try the place! Small but nicely decorated. Although very packed, it was pretty quiet inside. More like a study spot instead of a social hangout or maybe it depends on the time of the day (weekend afteenoon). Did online order, they automatically set tip to 10%. Got 4 drinks. My favorites were the peach green tea and the house milk tea. 75% sugar was just right. Tried their ube/taro milk tea and wintermelon tea (50% sugar); these were the least favorite. I'm not usually a picky boba person but this has to be the blandest boba I've had in my life. Mom and I got their Mung Bean Pandan Milk Tea bc we really enjoy 7 Leaves' version. I just left there 30 mins ago and I think the owner was fussing at the young Hispanic dude that took my order. All I heard was that we don't do blended this or that. Poor dude didn't know and he got fussed at. I understand why some places don't want to do a blended drink. I ordered the Thai tea and my favorite is getting it blended with the ice like a slushy. The ice can take away from the taste of the drink or make it bland if you don't know what you're doing. So I get it. But I'm a diabetic anyways so I don't even care for all that sugar. I ordered about 8 drinks, some were amazing some were eh due to original sweetness level. I really like the Lychee Rose Delight and the Yogurt Kiwi Zing. 5/5 The Strawberry quencher on the other hand was overly sweet and the Kumquat Aloe Vera Tea was slightly blander than the other drinks that I ordered there. 2/5 to 3/5 The other drinks are a solid 4 or higher ( not quite a 5/5) The food was overall pretty good. I live nearby and was excited to see that they're finally open! I thought it was a cute teahouse name because I always say okie dokie, so I thought it was like meant to be. I checked out their menu before coming and was surprised by all the different drink options and also food as well. The lychee rose delight and ube-taro milk tea caught my attention. Upon arrival, there's one door for entrance only and the other for exit. Store is very spacious feeling very open. Menu is very big for you to see very clearly. Milk tea is dairy free, you can adjust sugar levels too! I got the lychee rose delight and my boyfriend got the ube-taro milk tea (75% sweet) of course. They have swing chairs, 6+ tables for big groups to smaller tables for smaller groups. The worker was very helpful and so nice. For the lychee rose delight, it's very refreshing and different. You can taste the lychee and a little bit of the rose. I'm not sure if they use rose tea instead of black/green tea, but the tea isn't very strong which is nice because you can taste the lychee. As for the ube-taro, it's a perfect combination. Every sip, first you'll taste the ube and then the taro. Brown sugar boba was really delicious and a good texture, not too chewy and not too hard. We stayed for a little to try out the drinks and the receptionist I believe she's the owner checked up on us to make sure the drinks were good and they were. Very delicious and refreshing!
