You don't want to miss this event. It is modestly priced, especially considering the quality, variety and sheer quantity of performers who will be present. If you are one of the 50,000 or so people who turn out every year to go to NTIF, then you are already in on the secret.....

For those who aren't huge BBQ fans there are your traditional fair vendors with corn dogs, funnel cakes, etc. I wouldn't exactly say this is an overly kid friendly event. This is more for adults. The music was great and everywhere you looked people seemed to be enjoying themselves. It was hot out but no one seemed to let the heat dampen their fun. The non food vendors were probably the most interesting to see. There wasn't exactly a pattern in vendor types. They had everything from people selling spice rubs, scentsy, thrift store type clothing, childrens toys, insurance sales, and face painting. It was entertaining to walk by and glance at everything. This is definitely a fun event for groups or couples. If you aren't sitting in the VIP shaded areas, make sure to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on so you aren't stuck standing the entire time.

The first time, our GPS said we were 1.4 miles from the entrance... that's how FAR back the line stretched not counting the winding roads after the entrance gate. Traffic management is nonexistent past the gate: no cones, no staff, just cars blocking intersections and nearly colliding in the dark. By the time you finally make it inside, you're shoulder-to-shoulder in a packed crowd, too stressed to enjoy the lights. Save your money and sanity. Go to a haunted house instead. At least the fear and stress there is intentional and a shorter wait time. I won't make the mistake of coming back ever in the future.

But seriously... only two beer station for what I counted as 20 to 40 thousand people showing up... the lines were ridiculously long. So what I chop it up to is come with little expectation. Bring your cooler as people did with water... and just enjoy the "country" atmosphere.

There should definitely be more selection for water stations throughout the farm. I saw this one older woman with a walker having a real hard time trying to make it to the cantina for some water. She barely made it but needed to stop and rest multiple times since she came from the opposite side of the property. Value was pretty reasonable for what was offered. We will definitely be back.

It's now $29.95 online and $35.95 at the gate. The pumpkin patch, obviously on the pricey side, is more of an attraction as there are a lot of activities to do. There's the typical photo-op setup filled with pumpkins in the background. As you walk further in, there is a playground area for kids to get on the swings and slides. You can also find a place to look at animals - goats, donkey, chickens, etc. Scattered throughout the farm are various cars kids can hop into and take photos in. We went on the hayride, which was a nice 10 minute ride to see the Christmas trees. They also have a dedicated area to buy pumpkins. If you get hungry or thirsty, they have a lot of shaded areas to sit and eat. They sell food and beverages. Overall, it was a fun experience for the entire family.
