Always set on the first Saturday for July it tends to be hot but this 2023 year it was cloudy, windy and a little bit of drizzle making it perfect! My first suggestion is parking at one of the free locations provided by the city and from there they have free shuttles that take you to the entrance of the festival itself. General admission is $10 and you can purchase by cash or card the day of but I suggest purchasing in advance if possible. This year when I went their card reader was down and they were not able to take cars nor scan tickets already purchased so probably cash next time would be the best. Arrive early to beat the heat! Bring an umbrella to block the sun, wear long sleeve UV blocking dry fit clothing, a hat and sunglasses. Being neck fans and they do allow coolers inside the festival so bring plenty of water to drink. Don't worry if you don't because they are lots of places giving out free water to people. I see girls dress up trying to look cute but they are just so miserable wearing high school and their makeup melts off because of how much they are sweating. You will find lots of peach infuse food like ice cream, salsa, mint juleps, peach jam, peach lemonad and more! They do sell peaches by themselves but be prepared to bring cash because a lot of stands them are cash only. There is a farmers market outside the festival that also sells peaches but they are of similar price and quality. Parking over there is almost impossible so buy them where you can. Similar to the state fair you will find lots of fry food along with lots of shopping. There are so many great vendors selling handmade items and homemade food. Don't forget to stop by the local businesses that are open to find some one-of-a-kind items. The festival goes on all day so come early to beat the heat. There are porta potties in almost every corner but my suggestion is go to the first Baptist church and use the bathrooms there, they have AC and so much more room to be in. Plus you can sit inside their gym to cool off in the heat. What I wish they would be better is to have AC in all of their buses. At one point in the years past they had those older school busses shuttle people and the one I was on at the end of the day did not have AC so the windows were rolled down and it was not enough air. The best hit a curb and i bumped into the hot metal wall next to me and with my sweat, i heard a sizzle of just how hot it was. Now I don't think I've ever been in one of those shuttles without AC. Also, they need to install more cell towers so their card readers and scanner do not go out and make the lines to get in longer. Also, I understand inflation but they should bring down the price of admission to probably 7 or 8 $ with a student or senior discount. Large families may not be able to come in and spend over $50 to just enter.

Should have had peach BBQ, peach pie, peach crumble cake, peach burgers, peach everything of you want to call it a peach festival. One peach stand and yucky cobbler, 1 peach ice cream is not a peach festival! That said, I do appreciate the first Baptist Church for supplying water and a place to cool off, and free shuttle service to our cars.

I tried to let it go and not make a big deal about it, but they kept following me around and harassing me the whole time. It completely ruined my experience even though everything else was great about it. Get better staff that doesn't demoralize the customers just because they think it's funny. I refuse to ever come back to this place because it has happened twice now. You're probably thinking "maybe i did something to deserve it", but when you're just standing there with your family trying to eat and start getting yelled at and made fun of for having red hair repeatedly, it starts to grate on your nerves. I can take a joke or two, but to not only non stop bash on me for it, but decide to follow me halfway around the park continuing the 'joke'? Not only the one time I came, but TWICE. So much for a family friendly environment.....

The paid staff as well as the "playtrons" (paying customers who dress up and behave in character just for fun) make this an immersive experience. Wear comfortable shoes and be sure to bring cash - many of the merchants are cash only.

We came here because my wife has a girlhood crush on Rick Springfield, who I must say did a great job. The other bands were not good at all. The reason I am giving this festival 3 stars is because when we checked the website out, it noted no coolers, no anything basically. So I was like okay, as long as there is concession I am cool. But seriously... only two beer station for what I counted as 20 to 40 thousand people showing up... the lines were ridiculously long. So what I chop it up to is come with little expectation. Bring your cooler as people did with water... and just enjoy the "country" atmosphere.

I do remember that the folks that sell alcohol are super nice and use lines like, "It looks like you need another drink, buddy!" or "You are free in America - free to enjoy another drink!" Also, there were Beto for Senate canvassers everywhere. There were also vendors and local community resource tables there. I somehow eneded up with a towle from a family law attorney. That was cool. I ran in to some acquaintances too. That memory is fuzzy. I remember hugging someone I only met once. Lots of fist bumps too. Before you get mad at the event - I pregamed like a champ. Before you get mad at me - I took a Lyft to and fro. Glad I did! Parking was a small jaunt from the event, it seemed. The opening cover band wasn't bad. A local business owner (that seemed further in than me) said that they were a cover band with a rotating cast or characters. Sounded good. Seemed cool. I didn't make it all the way to Pat Green, nor the foreworks, but I had a great time. Only criticism - a TON of cash only things.

It is the highlight of my year and I always have a great time. This year, however, was different... This event was billed as a "drive in only" show with no other upgrades or tickets available to anyone. I arrived very early in hopes of getting a good parking spot and ended up getting nearly the best available - or so I thought. I found myself in the second row of a grass field that was nowhere even close to the flight line. There were giant buildings between all of general admission and the flight line. Okay, well this stinks but we're all in the same boat, right? WRONG! I was surprised to learn that there is in fact a huge VIP area and it is chocked full of literally hundreds and hundreds of people with a direct view of the flight line - Much closer. I walked over to the entrance and asked how I could gain access to that area and explained that I would have paid for upgraded tickets if I had been given that option. I was told that it was reserved for performers and "friends of the air show". I asked whom I could contact to make a cash donation on the spot to get access and was turned away. I contacted the airshow via Facebook and asked if I could make a donation or pay to upgrade and was told no. It really irritates me that the airshow would offer upgraded seating to a select few in this fashion. I reckon I'll just go ahead and keep my cash donation!!!

Way too slow. Didn't match up to earlier years!read more
