My friend went to the restroom and came back wanting to leave because there was no t.p., but I went and got a young man who had the good grace to be embarrassed and to fix it promptly. I bought three books and got a very nicely prepared cup of coffee at the JoeMuggs area. The franchise has reduced the offerings at the area, but I was always a cup of coffee kind of person anyway. The cashier had to go across to a different register to preorder the new Prince Harry book for me, but it was handled efficiently and I got a reduced preorder price which included shipping to my home and is significantly less than I would have paid on Amazon (I checked). So, it was a pleasant visit to what is more bookstore than toy store and I saved a few bucks. Very nice.

They haven't had their grand opening yet, so they still…read moresetting up, getting signage placed, etc. Most notably, the staff was extremely friendly and excited to be open. That will serve them well. They are brewing Starbucks, so it's the closest outlet to Cloverdale, I believe. They have a lot of space dedicated to Huntington apparel and gifts. They could really class the place up with Auburn gear. (Kidding- They are owned by Huntington University). They have a drive-through, a reading nook, etc. It's a fully restored cottage in the historic district. Very bright and clean. I'll be back!

She knows her field. The workers are very kind and helpful. This is a bargain bookstore with a changing supply, so go in with an open mind and about 30 minutes to kill, and you'll walk out with an armful of books and money in your wallet.

I LOVE 1977 books! It's a volunteer-run bookstore at the Kress building with an excellent selection…read moreof books about civil rights, feminism, abolition, cooking, disability rights -- you name it. I visited for the first time today and was absolutely blown away. From the design of the store to the location, there is so much to love about 1977 books. I've ordered from them online once before, so it was nice to see the shop in real life. I didn't get a chance to take photos of the shop (I was too busy browsing all of the books), but I managed to get a book that had been on my wish list for a while + a cute conversation deck that I plan on using with my loved ones. The volunteer who checked me out was also very kind and wore a mask. Come check it out!
