These guys are a family owned business, and have been around for more than 20 years. Over time, they expanded from the back corner of Ivy Place. In fact, part of the store is where the old Spoons and Spice location used to be. Tastees has all kinds of Eastern European baked goods, cheeses and meats, imported shelf staples, etc. Nice treats too! The day I stopped by, they had just restocked their Milka chocolates, and there was a broad selection to choose from. They have a neat display case of nesting dolls and various decor items that I enjoyed looking at. I was more in search of ingredients for a dish I was planning, which this market fell short of. The meat and fresh produce section is limited and the seafood did not look fresh. The bakery that is attached inside was 75% empty and only prepackaged bread products were displayed. There were two other little shops as well where you could purchase food/deserts. Overall, my expectations for this place fell short and with the limited selection I think I would prefer a more local place that doesn't require me to go out of my way to shop at.
