Larry has a great "bedside manner," very professional and knowledgeable, but he always surprises me with his common sense. Example: I had an orthopedist tell me I'd need knee surgery soon. I told Larry, and he told me that's what they get paid for - doing knee surgeries. Larry instead gave me a three injection treatment that I've done twice now, and it helps tremendously. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with this practice. They are Christian-based (I think) but all that's meant to me is they care about their patients. I can't recommend College Park Family Care highly enough, and I'm old enough to have had experience with *lots* of doctors. :)

I called the clinic and spoke to the receptionist, who verified that she scheduled a physical, then I spoke to the office manager Misty, who stated it was a work physical, and they consider each physical a different type, such as work/school/personal. I verified with insurance there was no such thing as different physicals. Then I tried to call the billing office for 2 weeks, multiple times a day, and Brittany never answers or returns calls, I then called main hospital who sent me to the billing supervisor, who was extremely rude, she said they sent it as a regular office appt not a physical. and she had no intentions on changing it. therefore my daughter should get a refund for incorrect coding, because they decided she came in form something other then what she stated. This is now being disputed. WATCH YOUR BILL IF YOU GO HERE, THEY ARE KNOWN FOR LYING AND CHEATING.

I have an 8 yr old and a 9 yr old, and you know they keep me busy back and forth to the doctor! Quite often, I need to see someone right away, and their regular pediatrician is on call at this location once a week, and I tend to set appointments for the kids to see her here instead of in Olathe by the hospital. They wanted a drug test. At the time, I had been smoking. I admitted that, and they promptly denied me care because they said I'd sell it in college. I have my diagnosis. I gave yall my diagnosis. Is that not the requirement? I even offered to quit, take a drug test after three weeks, and come back. They denied that too. All because Dr Guevara over there is scared of his license being put in jeaprody. You want your patients to tell you guys the truth, yet when they do, it's thrown back in your face. Even Dr Brockmeyer treated me like a 10 year old child. Absolutely rage inducing. Never ever recommending. My whole family is no longer in his patient base.

He is very attentive and asks a lot of questions. Today was the second time I visited him, the first was over the wanky eye, today we did a physical. Dr. Fieleke has this shyness to him that just makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Like Dr. Chartrand, Dr. Fieleke doesn't avoid asking about your life. This is important to me in a physician because I want someone who is aware of my lifestyle so that they look at any issues in that light. Having a doctor that openly asks these questions and doesn't become uncomfortable talking about these things is a huge plus for me!

Anyway, I was introduced to Dr. Holly in high school. I had always gone to College Park Family Care Centers for doctors, but didn't like my previous General Care Provider. When The College Park branch that Dr. Holly is currently in opened up, my mother set up an appointment for me. it was very nice because the new location was a lot closer to home and school, so it made going to the doctor a lot more convenient. I've always felt very comfortable with Dr. Holly. I can talk to her about anything (as you should be able to with your doctor). She's always very kind and understanding and seems to sincerely want to help in all situations. She's even told me to bring in business cards for my photography company in order for her to give them out to clients who need the services. She's also the only gyno that I've ever had. Growing up I always heard scary stories about well woman's exams being hated, but Dr. Holly is good about distracting you with easy conversation and the whole thing really isn't that bad. She's always great about walking you through all of your options with any problem. She also has a little girl so you always get to look at adorable photos while waiting for her! I desperately hope to move back one day and get my favorite doctor back...I'm not a fan of my current one!

However, I can't say that I have confidence in her ability to treat patients in the most effective way. The office staff at College Park is difficult to work with, too. Over the years, I have been referred out to an OBGyn, Endocrinologist, Cardiologist, Pulmonologist, Dermatologist, and I'm sure other "ologists" I'm forgetting. Most of the time these specialists are more expensive to see and they often tell me I don't need a specialist that it could have been handled by my family physician. Today, I have a form that is needed for my employer. It has been less than a year since the form was signed last year. The office staff refused to ask if the form could be signed by Dr. Holly without being seen. It is the last straw. Everything with this doctor is more difficult than it needs to be and I can't say that my health is benefitting from the extra steps and money it takes to see her.

Dr Eliason was really good with my daughter and was able to spend at least 20 minutes with us just doing all the routine things. When it came time for immunizations they handled my freaking-out daughter really well (it took 4 aides and a nurse to hold her down and give her two shots, ugh!). For visit number two my 3yo had an ear infection and I wasn't sure what was up with my 7yo (sinus infection?). They were able to make an appointment for that same afternoon with Terri (Dr Eliason's PA). I was kept on hold for a while to make the appt and waited in the waiting room for around 10 minutes but Terri was very sweet and very good with all my kids. It was a sinus infection for the 3yo but turns out the 7yo is super allergic to Kansas so allergy meds were prescribed. Overall, 3 stars for the reception staff and 5 stars for the Doctor and nursing staff.

The person I spoke to was so patient and explained everything clearly to me and honestly I don't think patients calling in to figure out a bill is generally something they look at as a positive experience and most people would just want to avoid it all together however the experience I had with Tiffany T. was so wonderful to me. She took the time to help me understand the balance that I had and make it a completely positive call. I hope I never have to handle any more billing situations (this bill was my fault and not College Parks error) however if I do have to deal with it in the future, I hope I get the same person next time. She was such a joy and made this process completely painless. I'm sure this is the way she normally treats people who call in with billing concerns however I hope she knows it's the way she treated me as a human and made my experience wonderful that makes billing interactions less stressful. She is an asset to this company and I hope Tiffany knows it's these experiences that she provides to patients at College Park Family Care that keeps the patients loyal, at least for my family.
