Earlier this week, I called Old Bluffton Florist to request a dozen lavender roses in a bouquet. I explained that lavender was very important as it was our wedding flower. I was told that this florist had lavender roses available and could make the arrangement. I paid for them and set delivery. When they arrived, they appeared to be perhaps the slightest hue of lavender in the middle at best and were very clearly a deep and light pink around the edges. They were described to me when I called after delivery as two tone lavender. Please see pictures below. My primary reason for leaving this review is because I had made a specific request and it was not delivered upon. Furthermore, when I contacted this florist, I was informed that my options were to have them come get the roses and then refund the money. As this is my wedding anniversary, I would prefer some roses to no roses. Needless to say, I am disappointed. The people were polite on the phone and delivery occurred on time, but it was clearly not the proper roses for the order and the only option was to return them. That was unfortunate. read more

Condensed: My daughter ordered Mothers Day flowers to be delivered on Mothers Day. They were delivered to the wrong address in a completely different area of Bluffton at around 6pm on Mothers Day. We found out because the recipient was kind enough to reach out and tell us. Mistakes happen and both my daughter and myself tried repeatedly to get someone to answer at the florist last night and again all morning, leaving messages when no one answers and so I finally sent an email today asking that someone please contact us. I received a phone call from a "no caller ID" number this afternoon and I was on the phone at work so I didn't answer. The voicemail was without apology for the mix-up and stated that in order to get a "full refund or credit" they would probably have to "pick up the flowers" What? As if it was our fault they delivered them wrong? Also was told they would need to speak to my daughter to process a refund but of course they don't answer the phone so there was no way to reach out. Back and forth by email with the daughter-in-law of the family owned business and my daughter was refunded. There are many more details of how poorly this was handled but I will spare you the details and will simply say go elsewhere if customer service is a priority. For reference, I will add that the price refunded was over $98 and will let you decide if the picture is a $98 arrangement. It's the thought that counts and my daughter was so sad this fell through but I was able to get a picture of the sweet, sweet card my daughter sent with them which made my day. :) read more

Ordering flowers through the internet is a difficult thing because you can't really see what a florist's products look like. And genertic FTD-like websites don't help. I was worried based on the one bad review and the other, too-short-to-be-real review. But I wanted to send flowers to my mom and this was the only florist that picked up their phone. And it worked out just fine. I was a little disappointed they didn't have something really specific I wanted, but I took a leap and ordered. Now, while I am happy they delivered the flowers anyway, what happened afterwards was unprofessional. After trying twice to contact the florist and being unable to do, I finally did get connected. One of the employees, clearly not from Bluffton, became quite rude with me and said "I just want my money" after I explained that I had given the correct credit card number , but that the person who took my order had failed to write it down correctly..
