I wanted a cigar. I was in the Spanish Quarter of Saint Augustine, and there was a cigar store with a walk-in humidor. I would like to say that I get what I want. The selection was solid and picked a Padron Serie 1926 with a maduro wrapper. The price was around what I felt I should spend on a smoke of that caliber, and I was provided with matches to light upon to do my appropriate cut off the head. It's a small location. It's for picking up a smoke or a case and being on your way. So, nowhere to sit and lounge, but that was ok. I was okay with smoking my cigar up Corona Avenue in the Quarter. read more

Was in Saint Augustine and came across Old City Cigars and went to check things out. Before I could get into the humidor, I was asked to leave my little shopping bag on the counter. I was the only person on the place...already not starting off well to be treated like a shoplifter. I comply, leave my little bag on the counter and head in. Humidor has a great selection, but I couldn't tell you more than a handful of brands because I never got the chance to look. The guy behind the counter followed me in, which is fine and well. He asks me what my cigar tastes are. I tell him I'm somewhat new to cigars and prefer milder sticks. It then became the 'him' show, trying to dazzle me with all his cigar knowledge. I just wanted to look around and pick up something a little different but I couldn't get the space to do that. I dont like giving reviews that aren't positive, but this wasn't a very good experience for me. read more

Winner Winner Chicken dinner !!! This little place is hiding off of the walking area of the strip. To be small they have a really nice sized collection.The gentlemen on duty was very knowledge and pleasant. I couldn't be there and not purchase one so I settled on a robust maduro made by Romeo. Very great selection at reasonable prices - especially for a very touristy destination. I got a Jack-Daniels infused house cigar. Excellent choice if you're into mild aromatic sticks. While I was the only one shopping when I was in, the woman working was very helpful and made herself available to assist. It's off the beaten path, but it is far superior in quality, cost, and service than every other cigar shop in that strip of stores. read more

The tobacco is a little pricey, however that is to be expected in an urban/tourist area. None the less, the shop is tucked away in a cool area off the main strip and full of some cool stuff. The desk attendant was extremely helpful and gave me some good insight about products also. I'll definitely return next time I'm in the area. read more

I was in St. Augustine while my mother was at the MAYO Clinic and I stopped by looking for a good smoke. I told the man in charge what I liked in a cigar, natural and a shorter smoke, and he pointed out 4-5 that would I would be interested in and he even let me smell a few of them. He helped me to decide, gave me a great price, and even cut it for me. This is a fine cigar shop and the staff was so helpful and nice. I would definitely go here again, very fine quality little shop. It deserves far more recognition than it gets. read more

The owners of this establishment either do not own a clock or do not possess the ability to tell time. Arrived at 8:40, 20 minutes before their posted closing time to find the place closed and locked up for the night. The humidors appeared to be non-functioning as well. read more
