This is one of my absolute favorite spots in St. Augustine. Every single time I'm in the area, I'm stopping into Isabela's. Isabela is so genuine and you just feel the love when you walk in the door. Whether you're looking to have a cigar, a glass of wine, a water to cool off indoors... go on in and enjoy yourself. You will feel right at home and appreciate this little hidden gem. I've never seen an unhappy person in the hundred times I've been here

That flash was bright! But we had a great time. Very relaxing here.

After finishing a delicious dinner at Michael's we decided to head next door to Isabela's to grab some cigars and another glass of wine to unwind. The selection here is great! And the ladies behind the counter were very knowledgeable. There's a little bar on the side with wine and sangria (they might have had more types of alcohol but we were only interested in those). We got a glass of Merlot and headed outside to smoke. There is definitely smoking inside too, but we wanted to people watch. Just a nice, cute little smoking lounge. My husband let me try some of his cigars, it was my first time smoking one! They were really good. We had a great relaxing time here on a Saturday night. Not busy at all, very relaxing vibe with the spread out comings and goings of customers.

One of our stops on our St. Augustine Foodie Tour. I'm not into cigars but still found it quite enjoyable. Our bartender was friendly. The cigar smell inside was a bit much for me, I'm not used to being around smokers. It was still okay though. If you're like me, I suggest sitting on the porch, with a refreshing sangria, and have fun soaking in the sunshine and people watching.

Loved this place. The sangria was so tasty, I would come back just for that. It was a nice place to have a drink and smoke a cigar. One of my favorite places in St. Augustine.

The front porch is a great place to relax and people-watch.

Love, love, love. It has a great atmosphere, the best Cuban coffee, great selections in the humidor, and attentive staff.

Amazing! We aren't cigar smokers but loved the sangrias! Off the beaten path and peaceful.

The bartender was a doll and our two dishes (french onion soup and the beef bourguignon) were 10/10 delicious, including the baguette on the side. Second it's not real balamic. Why is it on there when not on the menu description? There wasn't a ton so I used my napkin to get it off If you are going to charge those prices you should put the ingredients in the menu. $100+ bill for one person. I should have said "what is that brown stuff? Oh I'm allergic to it and had it redone. Not good. Maybe my last time there or next time ask. "Do you drizzle balsamic, wich is not real balsamic on the flatbread? You do? Why is it not on the menu? Leave that off. Ambiance is fine very French although I don't know if any staff are French. None speak it.

It gave modern tiki bar feeling, it was clean and felt very warm and inviting. We sat at the bar and was greeted by the bartender and a very extensive and beautiful leather bound menu! I loved that haha! They had everything from classic tiki drinks, to modern, to drinks by liquor type, etc. It had the food menu, some information about the bar and how it came about. We ordered a few drinks: Bushido Rhapsody (DELICIOUS), Stars & Sarsaparilla (husband liked it) and their currently rotating tiki drink - Escape from Black Mountain, which serves 2 and is served in a cool mug of the bust of Pedro Menendez. You can purchase it as well! It was so good and felt never ending between the 2 of us drinking it. For food we ordered a couple of apps - Cajun Chicken Eggrolls and the Montenegro Meatballs. Both were fantastic!! If we didn't already have dinner plans, we would have stayed here for dinner! Definitely will be coming back here next time we are in town and every time after that!

Seriously, I wanted to hug whoever cooked it. It is so worth it. Everyone else at my table was thrilled with what they got - burrata sandwiches and a fish sandwich. This French restaurant is located in a charming 3-story historic Jefferson house, once owned by Thomas Jefferson's great-granddaughter, Maria Jefferson Eppes Shine. The restaurant is on the first floor, with the entrance tucked away in the back. They have parking in the back. The second and third floors are home to a cozy Bed and Breakfast. We arrived right at 6 p.m. and were seated at a special table by the window. The restaurant isn't huge, but it has a lovely atmosphere. Renee was our server and treated us to a complimentary champagne for the occasion. She explained the menu and the specials. The Chefs Dinner Menu was fascinating, but unfortunately, I don't eat lamb. The menu changes frequently, so I'll definitely check it out again in the future and pair it with the optional Sommelier's wine pairing. There are so many wonderful choices, but I finally decided on the Bouillabaisse, remembering all the positive comments on Yelp. When my order arrived, it was presented on a large platter with a gorgeous display. It tasted as good as it looked, with the lobster eyes staring at me. It was a whole lobster, conveniently cut, which made it easier to eat. The combination of lobster, shrimp, mussels, and clams in a saffron-flavored broth was amazing. I'm so glad I chose it. My husband opted for the Steak au Poivre with Pomme Aligot. It's mashed potatoes with melted cheese, butter, and cream. The texture was a bit tougher than regular mashed potatoes, but still delicious. I tasted his filet, and it was so tender. He loves the poivre sauce on his steak. Renee recommended all the wines we picked. We started with the complimentary Frederic Chopin Brut Blanc de Blanc, and we really liked it, so we ordered more. For my meal, I had the Barbebelle Rosé, and my husband had the Peyrassol Merlot Syrah blend. Both wines complemented our meal perfectly. We did run into an issue with my Bouillabaisse, as it was a bit too salty. The manager, Parnos, came and apologized and had the chef prepare a new batch for me. They fixed the problem right away. I'm really impressed with the service, the amazing food, and the beautiful restaurant that's now La Nouvelle. They even gave me an amazing dessert with a birthday candle for free! It had a chocolate center, a crispy crust, whipped cream topping with chocolate morsels. La Nouvelle was outstanding in so many ways, making my birthday super special.

Then she screamed at my daughter looking at an umbrella. Talk about anger issues! This shop was the exact opposite experience. I was greeted upon walking in, offered assistance to pick out wine and the owner engaged with my daughter. I was so much happier to spend my money here vs Fort Alley. I ended up getting some Italian reds, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and some wines from my Paso Robles in Southern California, one of my favorite wine regions. I was hoping to get some Prosciutto but the shop was all out. The shopkeeper explained there was a rush from customers and she didn't get her regular order in. It was completely understandable. And appreciated her sharing why it wasn't available rather than being dismissive like at the previous wine shop I was at over at Fort Alley. I am so glad I came to this shop. I'll start with the food. We asked for our pastas to be al dente and we were willing to wait for a fresh batch. It came out so over cooked you couldn't even put a fork in it! The quality of the food was very low budget! Not even restaurant depot low budget but more along the Walmart or Aldi kind. The bread was great. We asked for a second round on it! When we got our check we were charged for bread! Never in my life have I been charged for complimentary bread! And to not even tell us, that's the crazy part! Let's move to the desserts. When offered we were told to look in the case next to our table that was the desserts. They were clearly old. The tiramisu and cakes were dry on the top and not even covered! We passed! Now onto the service. This place is so small I don't know how you can lose your server. But we did. When the food came out we wanted cheese she was gone for at least 10 minutes! So either no cheese or cold food. Not how you eat Italian food! Not to mention she had a serious attitude problem! Tried to simply chalk it up to she's having a bad day. She was rude! Needless to say we will not go back here to give it a second chance. There are much better places out there.
