Love this place! Affordable and quick, and you're gonna be soo full. I've only tried the Fuzhou eats so far, but after this meal, will be back to try the rest of the menu. Peanut Noodles: insanely generous for the price, the peanut flavor could've been stronger but the noodles are very chewy and not too clumpy which I appreciate. I like the version with the pickled veggies, it adds more flavor to the noodles but the classic version is good too. Not watery at least like the one in Chinatown Steamed Dumplings: these took a little longer, but they're plump and juicy with a good chive flavor. Steamed Buns: the bun part is pretty fluffy, and the filling is good though, like a more soy saucy version of the dumplings filling, but I thought it could've been saltier hehe. For these types of buns it feels really clean, and they'll easily fill you up for $5 read more

The food here is freshly made and tasty. I tried the shaxian wontons $4 for 15 pieces. They are made of pork and it has a bouncy texture with thin wonton skins. The soup is a clear broth with green onions in it. Super fresh and highly recommend. I added some dark vinegar to it and they also have white vinegar available along with hot sauce and chili oil. The pork buns are filled with savory pork filling with a semi sweet sauce wrapped in a soft fluffy bun. It taste better than Gong Fu that's near by. The peanut noodle taste the best so far in this neighborhood. Noodles are very smooth and has a semi chewy texture. The sauce is a mixture peanut butter and sweet soy sauce. The food here is GOOD - don't get me wrong - but my major issue is how long the wait is. The waiting times are just not practical and are what's killing my good vibes. Everything seems to take 20-30 minutes - no matter what it is! Be prepared to wait is all I can say. If you're eating inside, you're given priority, but if you want steam pork dumplings? 20-30 minutes You want pork buns? 20-30 minutes You want sesame cold noodles? 20-30 minutes Ever since this place was taken over my new management, it's really been a frustrating experience every time I come here alone, or I bring a friend. Having to always insist the food is good and it's worth the wait is annoying. The pork and chive dumplings ARE delicious and my son inhales them. To save myself some grief, I also bought 50 frozen dumplings for $13; well worth it instead of me making my own from scratch. If you're in a hurry or think you're gonna just pick up something really quick, because you know - something like dumplings should be ready available, I would try here when you have the time and the patience. We decided to try this little hole in the wall restaurant, and ordered their Shaixan wonton soup. It was only $4.00 so definitely worth a try. "A" rating. The place was busy with a lot of patrons. The wait staff was friendly and translated a couple of items for us. The Shaixan wonton soup consisted of 15 small bite-sized pork wontons (no herbs or shrimps, just pork). However, these wontons were very tasty even without any sauce. We did ask for their chili oil on the side which added a nice spicy kick to the taste. The soup with nothing in it, except a few tiny green onions (scallions), was also flavorful. We will definitely come back to try other dishes. Great breakfast or lunch on the go item. Excellent value. Better than a burger at McDonald's which currently goes for $7+ sandwich alone. read more

Pretty unassuming noodle spot in the heart of 8ave Brooklyn Chinatown. I went in with no expectations but just a quick, cheap meal before heading home. You order and pay at the counter and they will call you when your food is ready. Turnover time is pretty quick and we got our food pretty fast after ordering. Grab your own table -- it's first-come, first-serve. This place get pretty good business and customers come in and out. The menu is on the wall and posted outside. Not an extensive menu but everything is very affordable. Based on their restaurant name and the menu, I'm assuming they specialize in duck blood noodles here. I didn't order duck blood but I did see a sign near the counter saying "out of duck blood," so I guess I wouldn't have been able to try regardless. Kind of weird to sold out of their specialty and it's only the afternoon? I ordered a shaxian wonton soup ($4) and hot and sour noodle soup ($6). The price is really good, especially for the wonton soup for the amount of wontons they give in each bowl. The filling of the wonton is interesting -- it had a bouncy texture, not sure what protein, but reminds me of a fishball. I like the clear broth with the wontons, just the right amount of flavor. The hot and sour noodle soup was pretty good too. The price of the noodle is only $6 but please note it doesn't really come with meat protein so that explains the cheap price. The flavor of the broth itself is pretty good -- sour, mild spice, without being too mild or too strong in vinegar taste. I've had hot and sour noodle soup where the vinegar just overpowers the flavor of the whole dish. The noodle comes with potato/glass noodles, sour veggies, cilantro and peanuts. Not much ingredients in the soup but I just needed a small meal so the portion size was perfect. Not sure if there is an option to add protein to the noodle soup. Fast casual restaurant, order food at counter to go or to stay. When I stopped by on a weekday afternoon, it was not busy so there was plenty of space to social distance. Their fried hotbed chives dumplings were decent. There was more meat than chives inside. The mystery meat tasted like it was pork. I came here for the duck noodle soup and it was disappointing. I had the duck meat & offal w. vermicelli soup. The portion was way smaller than expected. A few thin duck pieces , soft duck blood, a few pieces of tofu puff and duck gizzard slices over a bed of noodles, topped with lots of cilantro. Overall it tasted like a bland cilantro soup. Not worth the $9. Unfortunately, my chances of returning are low. read more

It is located at 8 avenue and the food was good. I liked my wonton and noodle soup but the beef briskets from the beef brisket noodles weren't as big and fatty compared to the one from Chinatown. But, I got the food pretty quickly even if it's for take out so the service was great. The store have a lot of space with many tables and chairs. read more

When I came here, there were two other customers who were already seated and eating. They weren't busy as a female worker was just sitting around. She showed me their picture menu where I ordered the wonton soup and small steamed buns. I also had a bottle of Poland Spring water. All for the affordable price of $10! It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. The steamed buns were actually not small at all. I was really hungry so I finished everything. The wontons were mainly made from pork and was a bit on the small side but there were a lot of them. The steamed buns were decent tasting as well. As I was eating, the place became really busy. Most people were ordering for dine-in and it became packed. I finished up quickly and made sure to clean up after myself. I was looking for a quick, small bite so it was more food than I expected. Overall, not a bad no-frills place and probably best to go when they are not crazy busy. read more
