We then went on this odd barn ride that would elevate and slowly swirl you around. We then waited in line to go on the absolute fair classic; the bumper cars. I was a bit dissapointed, as the steering wheels on several of the cars did not work. They would steer in random directions, and it was pretty difficult. Next me and my older sister went on the Cyclops ride. If you enjoy that type of ride, good for you! I do NOT, so I was pretty scared, but it eventually ended. After that we explored the little sponsor stands they had and it was pretty cool. The rest of the day was amazing, if you plan on going, I recommend going on the Surfer and Auto Bahn (if you have the stomach)!

I even found myself wishing we stayed at the Biltmore Inn so we could wake up and enjoy the beauty everyday in Asheville. We visited during Luminere, which is a new attraction where the Biltmore estate and gardens basically light up after 9pm. We got there a few hours earlier to enjoy the grounds, do some wine tasting (lines too long so just purchased some wine instead) and take in a beautiful sunset. It really is the most gorgeous place to watch a sunset. Luminere began with a light show that shared the history of the Biltmore Estate which i found pretty interesting. Then we walked thru the gardens, which was all lit up similar to what i've experienced at many botanical gardens during the holidays. It was a gorgeous night, a beautiful show and a great way to get our steps in. I think visiting the Biltmore any time of day would be special, but this was an extra fun way to see it!

Admission is also free but donations are accepted. I didn't realize until I visited that the museum is located on land that was once the home to Cherokee Indians who were forced to leave in 1830 by the Indian Removal Act. Many ended up in Cherokee NC as they escaped by the Trail of Tears. I like that the museum is trying to reserve history. The museum wasn't large although I think I missed the permanent collection and just saw the current exhibition which was great. I enjoyed seeing the work differently looking at it from different angles. I wish I was given more guidance if more work was on the second floor. But I can check it out next time. The work presented does focus on the big issues like climate change; social justice; women's rights; and immigration. So if these types of issues are important to you, I think you will enjoy the art created by these artists.

This production was truly "worth melting for." From the incredible performances, beautiful vocals, stunning costumes, creative set design, and impressive special effects to the heartfelt storytelling, every detail felt magical. The talent on that stage rivaled some of the best Disney-style productions we've seen. Anna and Kristoff completely stole the show for us;; their chemistry, comedic timing, and performances had us laughing nonstop. At the same time, I had tears streaming down my face because I was so genuinely happy and immersed in the magic of it all. What impressed us most was that this wasn't just a show for kids. The entire audience, adults included, was captivated from beginning to end. It truly felt like stepping into Arendelle for the evening. As our first experience at Greenville Theatre since moving here from Florida, it exceeded every expectation. The area is beautiful, and it breaks my heart that the Cherokee were forced to leave it on the trail of tears. We were fascinated by the street signs in Cherokee language. Unfortunately, due to the Covid, the tribal village was closed and the outdoor pageant had been cancelled for the whole year. I would have loved to experience both of those and maybe ride a tube down the river as we saw many tourists doing. Driving down mainstreet Cherokee, we saw a few small Native American dance performances. I absolutely realized they were put on for tips and to lure tourists into the gift shops, but I couldn't help to stop and watch. I would love to come back during a "regular" year and experience more of the authentic Cherokee culture. True, there is an ugly casino and cheap tourist trap stores, but there are also some authentic trading posts and much of value to see here. I would recommend making a trip to Mingo Falls if you pass through, very beautiful and accessible without a long hike.

The theater has two stages. The main stage can accommodate maybe 100 to 200 people, but it created a really nice atmosphere. The backstage is much smaller. The play I saw was on the main stage. I enjoyed that everything started on time and had only a 15 minute break for intermission. The play itself was fantastic. I know that Asheville is a cultural center with lots of artsy folks, but the actors were top-notch even assuming that. I will be coming back for a few other plays this month, and can't wait to see what more they can offer. I also enjoyed that the play was translated into American sign language. I think including diversity and accommodating people of different abilities is essential.

The machines worked well, the plungers and flippers were smooth, and the lights and sounds were in working order. They said we could leave and come back later to play, with the wristband.
