Needed help fixing a door for my attached shed. I spoke to Blair, who was friendly and able to get an estimate appointment quickly for me. Tim was the technician who came out to inspect the door and give me the quote. He was very friendly and also thorough with his explanation of what would need to be repaired and how much each item would cost. He suggested a few improvements as well to make the door also safer and sound better when closing. He also pointed out a potential issue with my car garage door as well (which I didn't originally call about). Tim was able to make the fixes on the spot (I didn't need to set up another appointment, which was great). Unlike a few other companies I called Blair took time away from the job he was on to talk to me and explain garage door opener options and costs. After speaking to 4 other companies with one company never returning my phone call I decided to give Old Forge my business. His responses to my request and questions were swift, he was able to service my garage within 48 hours, and his service and pricing was on point. He knew right away what the problem was, he communicated that to me, and did not try and upsell me. Our garage door needed attention, did not close flat. So I got a Lansdale garage door company to come out and they gave me a quote of between $5k and $6k to replace it and said they could not repair it! The technician did not try to "upsell" me on a new door or opener. I was actually expecting to buy a new door AND a new opener, because my opener was performing so poorly that it had damaged the door. But the tech said that I would only need a door repair and an opener adjustment. Now that the work is done, I see that he was right! I had Blair come out to install one garage door opener. I had no idea what I was getting into, but he did a great job of helping me out with the project It turned out that one existing garage door opener worked but was really old, and another worked but the pulleys were in bad shape.
