After work Friday I decided to finally get my tattoo touched up. The lights were on and the door said open, so I went in. Turns out they weren't accepting walks ins after 7pm and it was 8:06. No worries, I will come back. The gentleman (unfortunately I never got his name, but his dog's name is Otie) looked at what I wanted touched up and took care of me. 25ish minutes later I walked out a very happy girl. My tattoo looks significantly better than it did the first time around and it was unnecessary and appreciated to be taken care of even though he very easily could've said "girl, bye". I really should've written this a long time ago! It's been about 2 years since I walked in with an ex to see him get his first tattoo. Luckily we didn't end up getting matching ones (I'd never consider it lol). I fed off his excited energy and decided screw it I'll get one too. They weren't busy which was pretty great considering we were both walk-ins. I had asked for a snake on the right side of my torso -- dead smack on the ribs. I wasn't really sure of what I was going for but I wanted a bold but kind of simple look to the snake. Terence was the guy that helped me out, and he was awesome. Originally I almost picked a cool traditional snake that was up on the wall, but I remembered I'd bookmarked a geometrical design so I showed him the image for some inspo. He got super excited and walked to the back to grab this book of these incredible snake designs, and immediately I was like this is it. I chose a design from the book, and he redrew it to flow nicely on my side. Terence, if you're reading this please let me know what book that was lol. The overall experience was super pleasant which is a lot to say because I was extremely impulsive at that very moment and getting your first tattoo seems daunting at first. BUT. I don't regret a thing! I'm super happy I even stumbled upon this awesome shop. The whole vibe seems pretty traditional, but from what I remember I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in. Personally my favorite shop in tally, especially if you like American traditional. The tattooer's have been tattooing for years and their experience is incomparable to other shops in the city. They are the kind of shop a college kid wont regret getting tattooed by. I came in, talked to Ben about a tattoo idea I had in mind and I made an appointment. I recently went in to get a tattoo finished that I started elsewhere, I've gotten all of my tattoos done at old glory and every time the experience was great! I recommend any of the artists here they are all professional and do amazing work. As I was saying I did start another tattoo elsewhere because a friend got me a discount... to keep it short the tattoo i started didn't get finished. So I went back to old glory knowing they would be able to help out. Terrence came in clutch and finished the tattoo for me. Before I was a bit down and out about it but now that it is complete I love it, the ideas he had to help finish it out were perfect. Terrence is always a pleasure to work with and does amazing work. I was very pleased and satisfied with my visit to Old Glory to get my tattoos! My sister (it was her first tattoo!) and I saw Thomas. He was fantastic! We liked how calm and collected he was when tattooing us. He did his best to make us feel comfortable and was not afraid to check in with us to make sure the tattoo designs were what we wanted. Also, the shop was laid back and all the other artists were very friendly and approachable. Thomas was quick in tattooing both of us in less than 2 hours and the pricing was reasonable. We each had two small tattoos a piece. I would definitely recommend Thomas and the shop to others for tattoos, and go back to get more tattoos by these artists. read more

As the daughter of a professional tattoo artist who grew up with a shop in her living room, I did a lot of research before settling on where I would go for my first tattoo. I finally settled on Old Glory because they had great reviews, were open at a time I could run in, and I had a close friend whose gotten two done there. It was completely empty when I showed up which made me wary at first, but that just meant that I was in and out in about an hour! It was extremely professional and surprisingly comfortable - the artist (it's been a couple months and I can't find the card where I wrote down his name, whoops) was very kind and made sure I felt okay through the whole process. Despite watching my dad tat other people growing up, I was a little nervous to get my own, especially since I didn't know the artist personally, but the resulting work was incredibly clean and neat. With each step of the process, he made sure that I was doing okay, and he paused halfway through to check if I needed a break and to make sure I liked how it looked so far. The outcome was a wonderful, clean, well-done piece that was Dad-approved! Definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. read more

I went into Old Glory after visiting about 3 other shops in Tallahassee. I went in and spoke to Thomas about the concept I wanted and showed him a few shots of what I wanted to get done. He drew it up, gave me a reasonable price and was very professional. My tattoo took about an hour and he made sure I was comfortable. I am happy with the service I got as well as my new tattoo and would recommend this place. read more

I went to old glory for a tattoo on my forearm. Immediately the artist told me that my idea wouldn't work without taking the time to think about it. He did seem very friendly and professional. After we had agreed on the design, I had started to get tattooed. Having four tattoos (one on the other arm in the same place), I am able to deal just fine with the pain but I found myself cringing beyond that "uncomfortable feeling." I came to find out that the artist had tattooed too hard and my skin was blown out around the tattoo, it had looked like someone had tried to stick an IV in my arm 15+ times. That did not go away. The tattoo took 6 weeks to fully heal (usually takes 2-3 weeks) because he had really scarred the skin. During the healing process the tattoo hurt every single day for over a week as though it was fresh due to tattooing too hard. The actual tattoo was really messy and not what I wanted at all. I ended up going to euphoria and meeting with Alain who was more than willing to work with me in doing a cover up. The coverup hurt 10 times less than the initial tattoo even though it was more detailed and bigger. The skin will forever be scarred and hopefully won't be so visible through the cover up. When I had gone back to the shop, the owner had told me that the blow out would eventually be flushed out of my system but he offered to coverup the tattoo free of charge. Overall, I wouldn't go back and I feel as though my $180 for a small small tattoo (not including new coverup) and weeks of pain is not worth the trip. read more

Let me start out by saying I'm a mid-fifties customer, new to tattooing and wanting to a get a BIG tattoo with lots of ink!! After looking around the internet for a couple of months, I finally settled on a tribal wolf /moon design. I took some images I liked to Terence Grantham at Old Glory Tattoo. Terence looked them over and said he could make a custom design with the main theme of the tribal wolf/moon look. We set an appointment for a couple of weeks later. I continued to look at images of wolves and moons. We had the appointment set for a Thursday afternoon, so the beginning of that week, I was having some second/third thoughts about the images, size, etc. basically everything about what I had sent him. The feeling continued until the day of appointment in which I had told my friends that I may not get a tattoo today!! WRONG... when I got to the shop, Terence came out with a GREAT design where he had taken the main idea from all the images that I had sent him. In fact, he spent a couple of hours redrawing/customizing the design to get the final tattoo. Dude, it was like he was crawling around in my fricking head...he NAILED it!! He made all my doubts disappear with his creative design. The tattoo that he designed is now on my upper arm/shoulder and it looks AWESOME!! I'm glad we made the tattoo larger so that it filled out my upper arm/shoulder and the lines are sharp, clear & crisp plus lots of ink!!
