When I pointed out that I found them in the Anthem directory listed as an office accepting new patients, I was told Anthem must not be updating its directory. I was then told to contact the office on 25th Street in Newport News because they not only are taking new patients, but they also accept my niece's Medicaid insurance. When I asked why that office is the only one in the Riverside System that accepts Medicaid, the receptionist, who seemed to hold biased views (based on the tone in her voice), simply replied, "I don't know." She knew, and I decided to leave it at that. My personal doctor left the Riverside System last year, and now I understand why. I will be booking an appointment for my niece with him after submitting this review. Shame on you, Riverside. If your office in the Black neighborhood can accept Medicaid, then all of your offices should.

I called here to find a pcp bc they advertise on tv. I called and the receptionist was rude with a…read moreserious attitude which was first red flag but I called back and spoke w the billing dept and the women was super nice so I said let me give them a chance. they canceled my appointment the night before at 7pm when my appointment was for 8:30am next morning! They never contacted me to reschedule or followed up on the appointment they cancelled. The receptionist alone was enough to turn me off then they cancelled with no follow up to reschedule so clearly they do not care about new patients ... the search continues for a pcp and you wonder why age group 25-35 doesn't have a pcp commercial was great way to get new patients but they don't care to keep or see patients I was also told they don't bill for well causing you have to be seen first by provider then go back for a well/prev visit . It was not a good experience just trying to even schedule a first a visit

Under Dr. Robeson's care, I've always been taken care of. Let's see how this visit turned out. I was able to check in 30 minutes early since I made to drive from Norfolk. Once I was called up, they were able to weight me in (lost 9 pounds since my last visit), give a urine sample (results were good) and have my blood pressure taken (lower than my last visit). Overall, the blood results were good. Dr. Robeson, my primary care, suggested for me to start taking Mounjaro which'll help with weight loss for diabetics (me included). Of course, I'll have to incorporate exercising and changes to eating meals since it'll make myself full fast with increasing doses. So I'll have to see how the process is going this coming November for an appointment. So far, I feel fine using the product. We shall see what happens going forward. Just like that, another great appointment here. They will continue to have me as a patient. Till next time :)

First I want to start with the bad and end on the good... perspective I am a 27 year old female…read more I was referred to this office via my pcp, I was already nervous as this was more of an emergent visit for me. Upon setting up the appointment and the confirmation call the staff told me to arrive 15 minutes early, as most new patients are asked to at drs. I arrived exactly 15 minutes early as most drs. Are asking that due to covid restrictions. Upon entering the receptionist said " name?, you know your early and you can't be early right" with the worst discussed look and tone. I replied with oh I thought I was on time I was told my appointment was x time and to arrive 15 minutes early. To this she replied " no that's not how this works".. I took my paperwork and sat down, filled it out, returned it and sat back down.. as I pondered my thoughts I decided to ask if I upset her by arriving "early" as I felt her issue was directly related to me.. to this she made it known that it was extremely frustrating and now I will have to wait an additional time period... I already had anxiety going into this appointment but that just hit me.. I had to hold back tears in my eyes from the humiliation I just endured from her In front of the staff and other patients. The office is very busy and covid is a hard time but she made my already nervous, anxiety ridden feels take a turn for the worse. If you go to the office please avoid the dark haired, glasses younger female receptionist. Because of this I looked up the reviews when I left and read others had similar experiences. My anxiety now sky rocketed. For 2 days before my appointment I kept wondering if I should cancel and ask for a different office because typically one bad apple will poison them all in an office setting. I give the office side 0 stars because of this. ** special note the scheduler for the procedures was extremely nice and kind and did her best to fit me in right away. I also felt the PA I had my appointment with was very knowledgeable, kind, and listened to everything I had to say** Now for the procedure side: I arrived day of and was beyond a nervous mess. The receptionist was so nice and inviting. After waiting my turn the nurse brought me back, talked me through everything, I was so nervous my body was visibly shaking.. the staff took note and was so kind! They all reassured me, told me everything that was going to happen and did their best to calm me before continuing, before I knew it, it was done! Dr. Corbetts team is amazing! I had immediate relief from symptoms I was experiencing before my visit. Not only is she an amazing Dr. who is proficient and experienced, she is kind and professional and so is her team. I had to go back for a second procedure a few days later and what a difference! I had no stress, no anxiety and knew I was in good hands!! I give her side of the office 5 stars!

Poor communication. Prior to my procedure, I called the office to explain that I was traveling…read morecross-country and needed guidance on managing my prep schedule while flying. I was denied the opportunity to speak with a nurse or medical professional. Instead, the front desk placed me on hold three times to relay messages, giving me flawed timing instructions that led to an ineffective prep. There was no evidence that a provider ever reviewed my chart or that I called to ask about alternate instructions. Patient safety and procedure preparation require direct access to clinical staff--not telephone relay through front-desk staff. I strongly advise management to review office protocols for pre-procedure patient calls. For my own edification, I'm glad I asked to speak with the office manager because she confirmed that I actually called, in fact, she was in the loop with relaying the inadequate messages.
