For reference, I have tried about 40 Kona Coffees, so to make the top five, in my mind, puts this in the upper echelon of Kona Coffees. I bought whole bean, medium roast coffee. The beans were evenly roasted and I did not find any "defects"-extremely small or chipped bean parts in the bag. I used the pour-over method and found the aroma to be excellent. My office was full of a wonderful coffee smell. The flavor was a bit more earthy than many Kona Coffees, which I liked. A tip for coffee lovers: buy single-estate 100% Kona Coffee and you'll discover some of the nuances of Kona Coffee that you won't find in a blended coffee. It did have all the important characteristics I associate with Kona Coffee: a smooth taste with low acidity.

There is something to be said about the view and the fantastic coffee!!!! Wow was it top tier! It feels like a custom tropical treehouse. We sat around her concrete table as we sipped sample after sample of award winning Kona coffee. On the TV we watched a live feed of the volcano. It was such a genuine experience all the way through. She took the time to walk us around the farm and explain the entire process. So much effort goes into making such a delicious cup of coffee. This place is highly recommended. It has extremely limited hours so be sure to be mindful of that .

After the tastings, we were taken on a tour around the farm and processing areas and it was so great to see Leslie treat the workers with love and respect. It was genuinely the best coffee farm we had been to...and we've been to several! The view is beautiful as well. The hours are extremely limited so make sure to make plan to come.

It was a wonderful experience where they showed you the whole process of making coffee from picking the coffee bean and ready for sale. Also got to try all different kinds of coffee, which was the best part! There is also a gift shop where of course had to buy coffee. You could tell they run a tight farm by hiring the right people and keeping the property and all the equipment well-maintained. I must admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Kona coffee from what I tried at Heavenly and at other local spots, but for what it is, Heavenly makes a good product. I wish they would have let me take a to-go cup of coffee after the tour, especially after paying for two tickets + $70 of bagged coffee, but they unfortunately limited me to the little sample cups with no lids. That's the only thing keeping this from being a 5-star review.

Only the best beans are eventually qualified for their roast and all hand packaged by Laura. This focus on quality & personal touch is reflected in their coffee price. They are more expensive than the Kona coffees you can purchase from local store, but you can be guaranteed of the quality from bean to coffee with Hula. We ended up not purchasing any bags but we definitely had a great time & would recommend the tour. Our tour guide was so bubbly & exceptional! Just FYI- the tour encompasses the history of Hula Daddy, & information about the land/trees/coffee making process. Tour ends with sample of chocolate covered coffee bean. Tucked away in the mountains in the south Kona, we were lucky to stumbled upon this unique place. We toured one of its neighbor coffee farms only a few days before we went here so we didn't need to tour another farms. If you end up being in the same situation then go here just to sip some delicious coffee and tea samples and pick up some gifts/souvenirs but most of all, walk around the property to enjoy its stunning environment or just sit in one of the lawn chairs to read a book or quietly meditate. That's exactly what we did. The workers we interacted with were there to give you hospitality. They never force you to buy anything. We hadn't had coffee just yet as we went here mid to late morning so after sampling some coffees and teas we were going to buy some cups of coffee to truly drink a full cup but they didn't even let us; they gave us free of everything (from some complimentary cookies to nuts to munch. What a generous gesture that was!!) After that, we sat in the lawn chairs and spent at least an hour in the spacious yard that overlooks the ocean for some journaling and meditation. With the view and the nature that surrounded us, we were truly healed from inside out. We got to meet and pet all sorts of farm animals. While walking around, one of the female workers (who greeted us upon arrival) came and educate us on all kinds of tropical plants, trees and flowers. She was so personable to us where she truly wanted to get to know us. The hospitality is top-notch at this place. On top of the farm tour, tea ceremonies and coffee tastings they do, they also offer yoga (I think that's what she said), and (possibly) massages. This place is so much more than a typical coffee/tea farm. But most of all, its stunning 80-acre property is in itself a place for people to rejuvenate/recharge/meditate so they'll be refreshed in mind and spirit as they walk away from it. This is like everyone's dream place to work and live. You got to put this place on your "must visit" list while you are in Kona.
