This is the absolute worst banking experience I have ever had. I'm willing to overlook mistakes a few times and understand someone having a bad day every now and then. I have them myself. But the customer service at this location is dismal, to the point that when I called in, the person I got on the phone was sarcastic and rude and hung up on me. I was in between meetings at work and had a small window to call and talk with them about my car loan. When I emailed about it later, the behavior was defended. I went as far as talking with the bank president and she was totally incompetent and unable to communicate in a professional manner. I quickly realized where it originated and realized that it was acceptable behavior. Excuses and retaliation is what I experienced afterwards. They had someone sneak into my driveway and take my car in the middle of the night with no warning, courtesy phone call - anything. Which I read that most companies will do and most don't even consider repossessing your car until it's 90 days in arears. Clearly they wanted me to suffer. If you ever get on their bad side, watch out. I got my car back the same day. It was during the holidays and I was approx 45 days late. I'm a professional who works very hard, always have and make a good living. When I tried communicating with them, they would not return my calls or emails so they clearly wanted to come and get my car and avoid talking. Again, I've never seen anything quite like it. Not a community type bank you would expect for a small bank. It seems they find every small detail to hold onto your money and add on small fees to nearly every transaction. If you are looking for a solid bank you can trust to help you with your money and provide you solid customer service, I would suggest you go elsewhere. $2.00 fee for the computer to withdraw your money out of your savings for overdraft protection. $4.00 fee if your bank account goes under $100.00 $$ Of course the usual overdraft fee (I am not sure how much it is...but I bet it is more than most area banks on average). Depositing a personal check is a 4 day hold no matter if you have been with the bank for over 15 years or 1 day in good standings.-- this should be against the law. Hours are not consistent across each location so you cannot predict when they will be open. They seem to change on a yearly or monthly basis. They also have very small coverage in the area so unless you live in a very small rural area in the eastern part of Nashville, you may want to find another location. The Old Hickory branch (the oldest) is the worst. They are condescending, rude, and unprofessional. They may think it is funny when a customer is upset about these fees, but when they continue to lose money and customers as a whole and the bank goes belly up, they will not be laughing when they are looking for another job. Time to look for a new Credit Union that can provide me with better service and cost less as they use my standing money in checking and savings on a daily basis. read more

OHCU recently "upgraded" the on-line banking. The thing is that they lost functionality. For example, you cannot mark your transactions as reconciled & label them how you want. They have all transactions marked as "Auto". I cannot update either. I call & call & call, no return call. I do get smart aleck emails from Tammy. They are pathetic. Don't waste your time dealing with them. read more

I love this bank. However I do wish all locations had the same hours so you could better plan your day..

Poor bank/CU. Interest rate was good on a used car I purchased. However, when trying to reach them its awful. First their automated account information is down a lot and then they encourage you to leave a message. Only problem? No one returns your calls even when leaving messages for the same person day after day. Finally went to one of their inconvenient branches and then noticed a sign saying weapons were not allowed on premises. (That should really stop those pesky bank robbers) Since I was in uniform I ignored their sign and no one said anything about it. However, due to anyone that wants to disregard my rights to carry a firearm and offers lousy service and I am more than happy to pay an extra percentage on my car loan. In fact, I did refinance and at least now have good customer service. Very poor service and accessibility. (not mention very few branches/ATMs) read more

Been a customer for many years but getting an auto loan at OHCU is VERY irritating and frustrating at least for me it was. Was approved for an auto loan but was limited to which cars I could choose. Faxed them multiple buyers orders for different cars one was approved 100% the others they would only pay 85% which is very hard to understand why. Will probably be calling the branch manager on Monday to fully understand what is really going on. read more

What's the point of having money in the account if you can't access it whenever you need it? Tried making a few purchases and my debit card declined at the register! Called the 1800 number on the card (which is really the local number) and no one is there to answer. Called the next morning just to be told to call if I ever need to spend more then my daily limit to get it raised. Told her I did call but it was after they closed, she did suggest to "plan ahead" are you kidding me!!?? Plan ahead to use my money?! She said they can't raise the speding limit unless you call everytime. What if its a last minute expense? She said "yeah" lady I spoke with was very dismissive and seemed like she was in a hurry to get off the phone. She didn't even apologize for any inconvinience and said "you used your debit card today so there is no problem with the card" I have 5 accounts total with them!! Very dissapointed in their customer service, at the branch on Lebanon Pike they are very polite and welcoming. Considering changing banks!! read more
