Its…read morelocated on a lake with public boat ramp access across the street. 99% of the campers are seasonal and most have a sense of pride in their community. Unfortunately the management of the campground is where it falls short in so many areas. There is a laundry room on site that has old and outdated machines which often means they aren't in working order. It is not until you go to check you clothes in the dryer do you discover they are still wet. The electric service is in serious need of an upgrade to 50 watt service. There are a lot of new campers on the property which draw a lot more power (think air conditioning in every unit ) but the power goes out on a regular occurrence in the summer. You are tricked into thinking its 50 amp service until you check with other campers to learn they also have had their converters blown. This results in loss of electronics n appliances along with the food in your fridge n freezer ( imagine this happening during the week n coming on the weekend to rotten food). The property recently completed a major sewer overhaul to include the addition of a leach field. You can often times find the owner responding to the red alarms going off in the evening. Those campers close to the leach field complain of strong septic smells and are told it's their connections at their individual trailers. Wait until the summer when daily usage increases with kids out of school. Speaking of kids , I hope you are not seeking activities as there are very little planned events for the kiddos. There used to be an activity person to coordinate so many events that drew a high level of participation. The decrease in activities for both adults and children lead to campers doing their own thing at their sites. If there was an planned event at the pavilion and there was low attendance, the manager drives around in a golf cart with a fog horn harassing people to attend. The same manager will park her golf cart with the lights off at the edge of your site starting at 10:30. This is done as a scare tactic in enforcement of a 11pm curfew. While there is a store on site that sells a variety of things to include alcohol , I recommend checking the expiration dates as often times it's old inventory from the previous year. If and when you bring any matters to the attention of the manager , you are met with a sigh of disbelief and an argument. Most establishments look for feedback to improve the camper experience, not this place. The staff at the campground consists of the owner , a manager and a few min wage workers at the store. They would benefit from hiring more staff with someone to run the office , someone to run activities , someone for security and someone for maintenance and someone reliable in the store. One would think with the steep site fees (over 7k on the water ) and the very little return on investment to the campers , that this would be common sense.

Went to their winter lights event with my two small children. We had to fight to use the train ride that we paid for since they refused to refund us. No one could tell us where the animals were that we had gotten feed for. The entire thing was confusing and disappointing and every single encounter we had with staff was aggressively rude. This was absolutely not a family friendly experience. We were charged over $90 for 20min of wandering around the property confused and insulted by the teenagers working there. After a full blown confrontation we were refunded $18 because they decided to close early without warning. Their response to us was that we were welcome to let our kids play in the dark for the remainder of the time we paid for if we wanted. Still can't believe the attitude the staff felt entitled to give paying customers just there to have fun with their toddlers. We will happily never be returning.

This is a great location with a wide variety of machines, ample free weights, two squat racks a semi-private turf room, hack squat and leg press machines, and great plate load incline chest machine. Eric and Lori have also invested in a lot of unconventional things to compliment my workouts that you might not find other gyms, like a Swiss bar, Olympic tricep bar, arm blaster, and many other things. The only negative is that the water fountain tastes off. This is more to do with the towns water. Bring your own water or pick one up in the vending machine!

Very beautiful area. After a brief safety video and briefing, we were given our rafting kit, loaded on buses, and brought up river to the raft slip, this was about a 30 minute trip north west. The raft trip ended across the street from where we started. An easy exit, we got out of the boat, returned our kit, and walked across the road to watch the video, and purchase souvenir photographs. We had an excellent day on the river during our 10 mile trip. My 14 year old son and I did the Zoar Gap trip which took most of the day with an hour break for lunch at a nice riverside picnic ground in the mountains. You can bring your own food( appropriately packaged) if you would like. They store it in a water proof bag and stow it on the raft. If there is even a hint of rain or you just don't want to get completely soaked, bring a three season jacket or rain coat. Also, you will be out on a river dress accordingly. NO open toed shoes! This includes flip- flops. You can rent shoes and wetsuits. If you have any medical issues like allergic reactions etc. I would either bring your own Epi Pen kit and medications with you, and stow it in the water proof bag, or possibly think about finding a less isolated outdoor experience. Be warned, white water rafting can be physically strenuous. The only issue I had was the lunch that was provided. Not that it was bad, it was well packaged and pre-made( not to order). If you have food allergies or don't like mayonnaise bring your own food. Zoar Outdoor is not really able to accommodate food allergies or pickey eaters. Mayonnaise was on every sandwich. I don't know why. They could just have provided packets on the side but they there were none available. My son hates mayonnaise so he only ate the chips, pickle, and cookies provided which got him through the remainder of the trip but not exactly a great lunch. One man we were with had a dairy allergy. I'm pretty sure he was not able to eat any of the food. I'm not sure why he didn't make sure a head of time if he could eat the food.I wish I had known the sandwiches had mayonnaise on them a head of time. Not a huge deal, we got over it. The trip was super fun! I would love to go again and will definitely choose Zoar Outdoor again.

Casey is very professional and gave a strong impression that he a man of good ethics and goal-oriented. In our conversation I provided further information to the incident, he listened, acknowledged my issue, then came up with possible solutions that he plans to address to his staff to prevent this type of incident in the future, and then he offered me a second experience on the house. This is more than I expected, and I am impressed!!! To Casey I give 5-stars. I look forward to my second experience with Regatta Point Community Sailing.
