Although rain was expected each day of our trip that week, Bill ensured to check the weather and was able to navigate us each day away from the rain. We did not miss a day of riding which was fantastic! We did plenty of climbing and the views were remarkable. We would stop occasionally for some coffee and pastries which made the rides even more enjoyable. After riding, Bill took us into several different towns to allow us to explore. We had fantastic food at our hotel during our stay and we have already told our friends and family about going themselves. We loved it!

He took us on the most beautiful rides through old cities and up into the mountains. His knowledge of the local back roads and restaurants made every day a unique experience. The hotel, Garden Relais, is set at the base of the pre Dolomite mountains with stunning views, outdoor balconies and patios, and a fabulous spa (I enjoyed a fantastic massage!). The food and the staff were amazing - just say "Bill" and they take care of you - he is part of "the family" having operated his tour from Garden Relais since its beginning. Upon our arrival, Bill had us set up on Colnago bikes which were perfect. I wanted to climb and challenge myself and Bill helped make my goals a reality. After morning rides, we returned for an Italian gourmet experience with many options, and of course, wine and prosecco! In the afternoon, Bill offered us many options to explore the local region, shop at the local cycling outlets, or just relax. The non-cyclists in our group had many opportunities to explore the local area and were always treated to separate excursions when the rest of us explored by bike. Dinners were full of the best authentic Italian food and wine, new friends, and lots of laughter! One of them is 14 years old and is in CHF. Before I say what I'm about to say - I completely understand that if a facility does not have oxygen tanks and other medical resources/staff to aid in the event of an emergency, that they will not take my dog in CHF for grooming - I get that part. I spoke to THREE different people about this, thoroughly explaining my dog's condition and each time I was NOT told that that was a dealbreaker. I continued to make their accounts, requested bookings, and uploaded their vaccination records and medical records (particularly for my dog with CHF). Everything was approved and verified by the staff - per what their portal was saying - and the appointments have been on the schedule for 2 days. To add on to this, they actually had to last-minute reschedule one of the dog's appointments due to a staff emergency. I was fine with that, but again, there was no implication at all that the appointment was at risk for being cancelled due to my dog's condition, hence being rescheduled. It was rescheduled and I waited another day with no sort of outreach from Wagging Tails about anything.... until THIS MORNING (both appointments were supposed to be today) I get a text message because god forbid they have the decency to make a phone call, saying that both appointments have been cancelled due to my dog's condition and the lack of equipment/medical resources on hand. THAT WAS NOT BROUGHT UP ONE TIME, EACH TIME I SPOKE WITH SOMEONE ABOUT MY CHF DOG'S APPOINTMENT. I am extremely displeased with the lack of communication and professionalism, as well as overall respect by this place. When I called this morning to ask again, WHY, this was being done in the first place, but more so WHY was this not communicated to me beforehand when I scheduled the appointments days ago... AND SPOKE WITH YOUR STAFF DIRECTLY ABOUT THIS CONCERN???? Of course, whoever picked up the phone with me this morning had no idea why I was so displeased... claiming that my dog's condition was "never brought up in discussion prior to now"... don't even get me started. "No, there is one room and it has a bad smell. We cannot rent it because you will be asking for your money back and I will not do this!" It was the dumbest excuse ever. You're suggesting that they're going to con you, after paying cash, for their cash back, for complaining about something they just found out about from you? He immediately started grabbing No Vacancy signs and haplessly posting them all over the doors and windows. He just got angrier with each successive attempt to reason with him. How oddly convenient that you just ran out of rooms... on a Monday night. It walks and talks like a duck. Bigotry is your closest neighbor at the Rainbow Motel.
