I've watched people get up from their chairs with lines used to fade the hair still there. It shows a lack of skill and care for client satisfaction. If I we're being charged 15 or 20 bucks I would understand why the cuts were bad but to charge 30 or 40 bucks for barber school cuts is insane. The woman on the phone asked how long it would take us to get there -- I said 10 minutes -- and she replied, "Yes, we can take you in 10 minutes." Perfect, right? Wrong. Left there at 845pm!!!!! Without even an apology. We rushed there and then sat for over 30 minutes before they even started one pedicure. I did ask if we can have pedicures at the same time. She said they didn't have 2 people available. I wish she would have said that on the phone. My daughter went first. There were stools stacked on top of all of the pedicure chairs, and I actually had to ask if I could sit next to her -- which felt like an inconvenience to them. Our pedicures were very minimal maybe 15-20 minutes, cut way past the quick and polish wasn't good, with no massage or lotion and just a quick coat of oil at the end. Almost like just a polish change. When it was finally my turn, the same girl started my pedicure, and before I could even get settled, another woman (who seemed to be the manager or owner) suddenly grabbed my hands to start my nails at the same time. I said to her "hold on please I like to wear a mask for dust allergies", and she snapped, "Find your mask, I'll be back," and never returned -- which was honestly fine, because doing both at once is not relaxing anyway. They did the lady before us like this as well, at the same time. The oil was so drenched on my legs, I had to ask for a towel so I could pull my pants down. The salon itself was dirty, with the front door wide open letting dust and debris blow in. I ended up waiting over an hour and a half before anyone even started my fill. Another customer told me she had a 6:00 appointment and wasn't started until 7:10. The only positive was the young man who finally did my nails -- he was polite and took his time. Unfortunately, the color came out thick and uneven (not his fault), but at that point, I just wanted to be done and out of there so I didn't say anything. When I went to pay, the woman said, "It's $145, but I'll make it $140 -- I'll give you $5 off for being so patient." I said, "Patient? I didn't have a choice -- I've been here for four hours!" No real apology, just that tiny discount, which honestly felt more insulting than helpful. I told her she should have said NO when I called to see if they were available. All in all, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had -- disorganized, unprofessional, dirty, and not remotely relaxing. I would never go back to Red Nail Bar, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They should be ashamed and change their ways and not think their time is worth more than others. I'll make sure I share my experience so others know not to go to Red Nail Bar.

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment for the first time today. I read plenty of reviews about the shop beforehand so that I could get a feel for what customers had to say. I walked in without an appointment this afternoon because I happened to be in the area. Luckily I only had to wait about 5 minutes before 'Matt' called me up to his station. He was incredibly polite as he greeted me. I had a couple of reference photos on my phone of the hairstyle I was trying to achieve. I could tell that Matt confidently knew exactly what I wanted within just a few seconds. As I sat there in the barber chair, even though this was my first visit to this shop, I still felt so incredibly comfortable. I wear eyeglass and so I naturally have to take them off during a haircut. I'm also very nearsighted, so I can't see anything clearly without my glasses. But even as my hair was being cut, although I couldn't see myself in the mirror, I knew Matt was doing a superb job. Matt's haircutting skills were so impressive and while conversing with him, I could really sense that he is very knowledgeable in his craft. I appreciate how he didn't rush the haircut just to get it done. He really took his time to get it perfect and at the end I could tell that he takes a great deal of pride in his craft. Stellar experience walking in as a cancer patient with chemo hair loss. Wanted to go bold and go BALD to keep my miracle mindedness and joy vibe going on my health/life journey. Beth (lovely having a lady barber assigned!) was listening, attentive, instructive of all steps (clipping/electric razor shaving, followed by warm towels, shave cream, and straight razor care for all-off smoothness.) She even offered tips for me "rocking my look!" I was accompanied here by a close friend, already bald, cheering me on and snapping great photos-will try to include here. There were even more surprises by the award-winning management and team (that I hadn't even been aware of beforehand!) I will return, tell lotsa folks wanting excellent barbering; and will mention this place and people to my local Cancer Life Net provider at The local Kauffman Cancer Center at UMD Upper Chesapeake Medical Center nearby. This is the best place I've ever taken my son for a haircut. My son is almost four and we've kept his hair shaggy so I was a little nervous about a significant trim. We saw AJ and he made us feel super comfortable. He listened to everything we wanted and explained how he would achieve the look. My son nor I had ever been there but the girl (Nina) who had cut our hair in the past left the shop we went to and I located her ans found out she was working here. Nina gave my son a great cut, as always, but we were watching the other barbers while we waited and were very impressed with each one and the way the cut and how nice their client looked once they left their chair. Went to Old Line Barbers on Pennsylvania Ave. for the first time today. I just started a new job in Bel Air and wanted to find something close to where I worked. I have been to the Bel Air plaza location 5 times and have had a different barber each time. Each haircut and experience has been great. They now have a new sign in process which helps control who goes next and let's you know how long your wait will be. Excellent barbershop and I would recommend it to all. read more

Never disappointed, friendly, great with kids. This is the only place I will go or take my son to in Bel Air. All of the staff is awesome!!! The wait maybe long but it's well worth it. Always has sports on flatscreen and magazines to kill some time. You have to try it out! read more
