If I could give less than 1 star I would!!!! I called the salon at 4:30 pm to ask if anyone was available for my daughter and me to come in for a fill and two pedicures. The woman on the phone asked how long it would take us to get there -- I said 10 minutes -- and she replied, "Yes, we can take you in 10 minutes." Perfect, right? Wrong. Left there at 845pm!!!!! Without even an apology. We rushed there and then sat for over 30 minutes before they even started one pedicure. I did ask if we can have pedicures at the same time. She said they didn't have 2 people available. I wish she would have said that on the phone. My daughter went first. There were stools stacked on top of all of the pedicure chairs, and I actually had to ask if I could sit next to her -- which felt like an inconvenience to them. Our pedicures were very minimal maybe 15-20 minutes, cut way past the quick and polish wasn't good, with no massage or lotion and just a quick coat of oil at the end. Almost like just a polish change. When it was finally my turn, the same girl started my pedicure, and before I could even get settled, another woman (who seemed to be the manager or owner) suddenly grabbed my hands to start my nails at the same time. I said to her "hold on please I like to wear a mask for dust allergies", and she snapped, "Find your mask, I'll be back," and never returned -- which was honestly fine, because doing both at once is not relaxing anyway. They did the lady before us like this as well, at the same time. The oil was so drenched on my legs, I had to ask for a towel so I could pull my pants down. The salon itself was dirty, with the front door wide open letting dust and debris blow in. I ended up waiting over an hour and a half before anyone even started my fill. Another customer told me she had a 6:00 appointment and wasn't started until 7:10. The only positive was the young man who finally did my nails -- he was polite and took his time. Unfortunately, the color came out thick and uneven (not his fault), but at that point, I just wanted to be done and out of there so I didn't say anything. When I went to pay, the woman said, "It's $145, but I'll make it $140 -- I'll give you $5 off for being so patient." I said, "Patient? I didn't have a choice -- I've been here for four hours!" No real apology, just that tiny discount, which honestly felt more insulting than helpful. I told her she should have said NO when I called to see if they were available. All in all, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had -- disorganized, unprofessional, dirty, and not remotely relaxing. I would never go back to Red Nail Bar, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They should be ashamed and change their ways and not think their time is worth more than others. I'll make sure I share my experience so others know not to go to Red Nail Bar. read more

The staff is very kind and making an appointment was easy. The salon's atmosphere was fine..nothing special. I also didn't notice the manicurist using sanitized equipment on me. Unfortunately, the end result of my nails is why I'm leaving a not-so-great review. I had to ask multiple times to ensure they were filed straight. After I left, I realized there was a ton of indentation on my nails and the gel polish is very streaky. You can see in the photos they almost look bubbly. Additionally, the regular and gel polish was supposed to match but it didn't. They have a posted sign for no refunds so since I noticed it after I left and paid, I didn't raise it to the staff. I paid $200 for volume INDIVIDUAL eyelashes. Well my eyelashes are now falling out and guess what? They are falling out in CLUSTERS which was only suppose to be $45. I went to Jordan Thomas, a high end salon, to ask about getting my eyelashes redone, and they in fact told me I had paid for cluster eyelashes and that individual eyelashes fall out INDIVIDUALLY. I am super disappointed because I really wanted to give this place a shot. Sadly I will not be returning. *And now the store owner is trying to make me feel stupid. My pedicure was decent. But I did have an issue with the pricing board and the pricing that's shown on their Instagram page in pictures. I got a classic pedicure that clearly says $25. I went to this place because it's so affordable and is closer to home. When I checked out, the cashier said it was $35. I told her that I didn't get the spa pedicure, I got the classic, which clearly said $25, and I pointed at the board. She looked at the pricing board and just said 'oh our prices have changed. It's $35 now'. I'm not one to argue or make a scene, especially over $10. But it clearly should've been $25 and it's false advertising. I just moved here from NYC nearly two weeks ago. In that time I've gone to two salons and left nearly in tears. No one knew how to do UV gel with gel polish- I ended up removing it completely and had regular gel polish put on which didn't look good at all. This nail salon is amazing! The people are super nice, they do great gel manicures and pedicures. If you want to be pampered good this is the place to go too! But be sure to try and get an appointment before hand. I have tried to do a walk in previously and they where booked for the whole day. They couldn't fit me in at a good time and I had to go elsewhere since I was going on a trip the very next day. Everyone is nice but it's very small. You need to have an appointment because they don't really take walk-ins. It's a cute place and reasonably priced. I do wish they had bagged packages for pedicures that I've seen at most places which contains ur own foot scrubber,etc. I would hope they sterilize their tools they use because I did see them once put them back in the drawer after using it on a customer. Back in the day you would see them come out of a white package. But for the most part seems clean. Definitely one of the better priced places that also can do designs since most nail places can't. This is a new salon in Downtown Bel Air and they have nailed it! The owners strive on for their customers. The salon itself is very clean and well decorated. The woman who did my nails was fantastic. She didn't have much to work with because I went somewhere else and had a bad gel experience and ripped them all off. In saying that Red Polish totally transformed my nails and made them look good again! The manicure was well done and the gel polish looks amazing. There are no bumps nor is it too thick. I was really excited about coming to this salon. I started following them on Instagram because I saw they were a salon that specialized in more intricate nail designs. When I came in the lady who did my nails was not friendly at all. The rest of the staff were talking and personable to their clients. I always have a great time when I go in for an appointment. The nail tech I always see is Mike aka Mike The Builder. He's patient with me when I'm unsure of the color (other than pink) and is encouraging when I pick a new color and makes sure it compliments my skin and personality. I only get the powder or dip treatment on my nails and he applies it with such precision that it looks like I have a normal nail polish application. It's not thick and chunky looking. They can last about 3 weeks for me even with how rough I am with my hands. The whole staff at the nail bar are nice and funny. I always have a good laugh while there with the staff and other customers. They don't accept walk in appointment but that's only because they want to make sure the people with appointments gets their full attention. I love that when you make an appointment they verify what services you're getting to make sure they don't have to rush you out to get to the next appointment or over lap appointment. It's always service with a smile, some laughs and beautiful nails. I highly recommend you call in to make an appointment with any of the techs. They all do wonderful work! read more

This is the message I sent to my daughter after we had our nails done at the red polish nail bar on Friday November 24th. My first visit, my daughters second visit. I have natural nails with gel polish. The lady who worked on my nails made numerous errors. They are as follows. 1. She didn't have 10 pieces of foil to wrap my nails she had to rip three pieces in half. 2. She put too much acetone on the cotton. It was dripping out of the foil. I told her the acetone burns my fingers if it's left on too long. 3. She left the table for 25 minutes. 4. She didn't scrape off the old polish. She used the dremmel tool to remove it and made two of my fingers really hot. 5. She said she doesn't buff nails. 6. Before I told her I was only getting the polish change she wanted to soak my hands in water, then file my nails. That's totally wrong, water soaked nails that are filed will split instantly. She should have filed first. So glad I know the proper method. 7. She tried to push my hand into the curing machine. 8. I know she was going to make them thick until I said something because she applied two heavy base coats. 9. There's no polish on the edges of my nails. The whole stupid experience took almost 2 hours. Finally, others may like this place but I didn't and they're too expensive and a bit rude to go back again. read more

I made an appointment today to have a pedi and manicure with dip. I called at 10:30 and said I would like to make an appointment. Told the man what I wanted and he asked me what time. I said 11:30. He said ok and asked my name I told him my name. My daughter and her friend had 11:30 appointments as well. I did not tell the man this on the phone I just made an appointment for myself. I get there with them and the girls are seated (they had previously made appointments earlier in the week ). They tell me to sit and I go put my feet in the spa. Sit there for a bit. They ask me if I'm a different name. I say no and give them my name. I say "I made an appointment a little while ago". The lady then tells me they misunderstood my call and that they have no technician to do me. And tell me they have a towel to dry my feet. Then try to say he thought I was talking about my daughters appointment when I called. I never even told them anything about my daughter on the phone !!! I am told they cannot do the service. It was quite humiliating and a compete waste of time. I have never had this happen to me ever. I will never go back. I figured I'd try a new place. read more

I got married last month and was looking for a great place near the venue to get my nails done. After reading the reviews I decided this looked like a great place so I told my mother about my choice. She bought me a gift card to use for my wedding - while making the purchase she told them this - and they asked when the wedding was (as most people kindly do) and she told them the wedding date...they didn't make any indication that there would be any issues with the time period. The next week when I called to schedule the appointment for a day or two before my wedding they informed me that the entire studio was closed that week.....While disappointing and upsetting (you would think they might have mentioned that when my mother bought the gift card since she told them it was for my wedding) I like to give places at least two tries before I cross them off. Today I drove up to them after work to get my nails done before my honeymoon. Considering I live in Annapolis this is quite a drive for me, but I didn't want the gift card to go to waste. I did not make an appointment as I have always been able to walk into a nail salon and get my nails done that day. I understood that I might have to wait a few hours at the most to get them done, but it never crossed my mind that within an 8 hour time period they wouldn't be able to service me at all. When I entered the lady was polite, but informed me that they couldn't help me with what I desired (a gel french manicure with a flower design on one finger) as the only stylist they had available - for one time slot - could only do a simple color. I was upset. I explained my situation (including where I live) and how I was already upset by what had happened with their closure before my wedding. I asked that they simply refund the money as I would not be coming back. They refused. I have never had such a poor experience with customer service. I will never return. read more
