Love this bar, great atmosphere and set up. They have pool and darts and plenty of room to sit and hang out. Loved the empanada food truck they had. It was the star of the show. I'm still dreaming about them and will be back for that alone. The only draw back is on the patio most of the string lights were out and the music was a bit loud to where it was hard to have a conversation. This place has a nice old town feel to it that lots of other bars just don't offer. My favorite drink is good old beer. Nothing fancy for me. When it comes to this place the patio is great especially on a nice Spring day. Looking forward to taking my girlfriend here in the next month or so when the weather is nice again. Old Main Icehouse - Sports Bars Near Me - Cibolo, Texas

This place has a lot of potential, and has a great theme/feel to it, but it falls short. It would be way better if they went back to live bands, live entertainment, karaoke/open mic nights. It's been going downhill. Today during the games I asked the bartender for an apple ale and she said she didn't have one, and so I tried the Community Beer Company's "Snickerdoodle" ale, tasted like "pooperdoodle". Also I found out she was mistaken and paid $5.25 for that gross beverage and I saw an angry orchard sitting in the fridge. FML read more

It's a good place to go if you don't feel like driving all the way to SA or NB. Only thing I dislike about the place is the drinks are expensive. By that I mean compared to other bars I've been too they are very stingy with the amount of alcohol they pour in your drink giving you as little as they can but charging you as if they are giving you a bottle service (exaggerated a little but you'll understand) also they need to get better chairs, these low rider chairs makes my ass feel like it's being sucked through a black hole. PS: Its a great place to see people that you went to HS with and to see all the people that never left Cibolo, you'll feel a lot better about yourself and the choices you made because at least you got out of Cibolo. read more

Very loud. Train came through every 15 minutes while we were there. We were with a large party and saw the $2 shot sign so ended up getting 40 shots only to find out they wanted to charge us $5 per shot. Not one bartender the 3 times we order mentioned that they were $5 and not $2. For us it seems like a big scam that there is some story on how you get $2 shots but no one told us when we ordered! Probably will not go back again since this experience has ruined it for us. read more

I just wanted to share what happened to me as I was walking past the icehouse with my husband this evening. My husband asked if I wanted to go in for a beer. He knows I don't like beer, so he was pretty much joking with me. I responded to him the same way I always do, by saying, "beer is disgusting." Well the young man checking IDs at the door decided to become a part of our conversation. He said to me, "You're disgusting!" When I turned around to look at him, he held up his hand and said, "I'm just kidding." Needless to say, I didn't find him or his comment funny and I responded, "Really? You're going to heckle me as I'm walking by." Of course, he just sat there staring at me. If that's the caliber of people they hire at the icehouse, I doubt I'll be spending money there anytime soon. read more

Cool local bar. I am here on a Tuesday night and it's perfect for a "on your way home" shot or beer. I will come back on a weekend and let you know how it goes. This is by far my favorite local bar...ever. I love outdoor venues and this one just keeps getting better. The stage has grown and I can't wait to see what artists this place brings to the area. Food trucks are always a plus and the indoor area is perfect for when it gets a tad too chilly, but with the heat lamps and fire pits, us Texans should be just fine. I drove in to Cibolo to visit an old coworker that I haven't seen in a long time. She advised on going into old town Cibolo which had a few restaurants to try and shops as well. When we got there we stumbled upon OMI after hearing a really good live band playing. It's complete with two bars, several food trucks in the back, complete with a live band. The atmosphere is really nice and has plenty of seating. After dinner we decided to listen to some good country music and sip on some mimosas. This is where the downfall comes. As I got to the bar, I waited there for a good five minutes after being ignored by all the bartenders. When I finally got approached, the bartender asked what the ladies behind me wanted first that even upsetted me more. I finally got my drinks but for it to take that long shouldn't have happened. Bathrooms barely had any toilet paper and soap. After that experience I don't plan on returning back. read more

There are only 2 beers on tap but lots of craft beer in the bottle. I should have ordered a beer because the liquor pour was terrible for an $8 drink. I'd be happy with a 1.5 oz. pour but the bartender didn't even pour a full shot. Even the airport could do better because they actually weigh out their liquor. I saw the bartender make six drinks, being stingy with the pours on all of them. FYI: Kamikazes are now $2 when train goes by. read more

I've had some great ones, but my goodness! We've found it! Rachel, here at Old Main makes the best Bloody Mary I've ever had! My husband, who has never cared for a Bloody Mary, went out of his way to seek her out for this incredible Bloody Mary! This place has great service and kind hearts! This is the perfect place to sit outside, have some drinks, relax with family and friends, and listen to live music. Similar to the Pour Haus in New Braunsfels. The bartenders are always attentive and the live music is always good. The last time I visited the M80s were playing. The music was excellent and played all the hits from the 80s. Drinks are priced well and the food trucks, especially Maine Lobster, are delicious. Highly recommended! read more

came to this place for a concert...really chill place great venue.. great set up... everything was nice.......until concert time.. i reserved a table to make sure had good place for concert and celebrate valentine's with wifey.... she like wade bowen.... our first dance song for wedding (who i am)...anywho....if your coming here for a concert great place... just for warning no need to purchase a table...(unless u want to see the backs of ppl during the concert...if i knew that i would of went to dmv and stood in that line for hours to be staring back of people)..no lie...and its not like i was in back row...i was up front, purchased my reserved table back in dec... no fucking point waste of money... just come 30-45 min early and stand on concrete slab to get better view... and place beer on floor... waste of 80 dollars... no lie.....dont get me wrong i got to listen to music and good time but i could of done this at home with friends there and put him on pandora...my wife came to see him and all she got to see was the pfg logo..(ppl in front wearing shirts)... so conclusion come for concerts great... but don't waste money on tables... just arrive bit early and get good spot..... read more

Great spot for live music! I have discovered countless local San Antonio bands just by walking into Old main. Cant beat a $1 shot when a train passes by...especially when They pass so often!! Definitely a nice laid back bar with a great staff. Nothing like it in the area but I'd still drive out of my way just to enjoy what Old Main brings!! read more

I gave one star for the attentive bartender. Another for the cold beer. Last star was because I really like this place, overall. Let's get into the reason the stars stop there. Sunday afternoon walked into the BAR to enjoy some beers with the love of my life and as we enter this liquor establishment we get nearly run over by 8 rain-soaked kids. I immediately walked back outside to look at the signage to make sure it was Old Main Icehouse and not Chuck E. Cheese. This is ridiculous. We're trying to enjoy the last part of the weekend by having a couple of beers and trying to relax. As we're sitting outside at our table these uncontrolled and unsupervised (parents throwing darts, or drinking at a table)kids are running around our table literally playing tag. Kids don't belong in bars, expecially if they have a "51%"sign. If your kids drive you to drink, do us all a favor leave your kids at home before you start driving to drink!! read more
