I was down the strip a few shops for an event, so I popped back to The Big Bean before they closed for their "Not Ready for Winter" coffee concoction. Another winner! I also picked up a couple of biscotti for later. When we did finally get around to trying them, they were incredible! Very hard and crunchy as a biscotti should be, and perfect for soaking up some coffee for dunking. And the flavors are perfect. Other people were ordering their breakfast sandwiches, which honestly looked and smelled incredible... I just didn't have room for food that day. Or, I would have totally ordered one just based off of others' orders alone! The real five-star facet here, though, was the staff. They were very friendly and helpful, despite how busy they were. They still found time for friendly and cheerful banter while ringing everyone up. I don't think team members get enough credit when they go above and beyond, but please take the time to tip or at least acknowledge the fantastic folks here! For my bowl: The caoaco nigs were actually chocolate chip morsels- the coconut shaving was coconut sweet flakes- the fruit chunks were smaller than expected. This, factoring in the price, doesn't put them high on my 'yummy acai bowl spot' list- For my daughter's smoothie, she ordered a chocolate banana pb- and we added in blueberries, but they pureed them in, where the photo had them looking big chunks dropped- and she was a bit upset. The place had great bright, clean nice couches ambiance- but it did take awhile as the only people there to actually get our items because they fill a lot of doordash tickets behind the scenes. Glad we tried, but probably going to go back to our routine spot.
