The people working there were all polite, the place was clean, and lots of items for sale (significantly higher in price than the $1.75 per item I was offered).

I overheard two customers expressing their surprise and unhappiness. I wanted to try on a pair of pants at 8:40 PM and was told the dressing rooms closed at 8:00 PM. Totally ridiculous! I dropped the pants and immediately left! This used to be one of the best clothing stores in Lynchburg. A decade ago, I loved their clothing designs, and in recent years, the styles have changed and have not fit my personal tastes so much. I wish that they would bring back their classy, timeless styles from the past. Nonetheless, I still occasionally shop here for clothes. This month, J. Crew Factory had a promotion for an extra discount on sale items. I bought a pair of jeans for only $12 plus $7 for shipping and handling! Three days, later this distribution center mailed my jeans. Two days later, the UPS through the USPS delivered the package to my home. I like the jeans, the price, and the delivery.

I worked here from August 2016 to January 2017. There are many changes in management, which really…read moresucked. Every time a new manager was hired, they would hire more people- even though we didn't need as many as they hired. I'm not complaining, but it was definitely frustrating having to remind your own management that you existed. They put me, as well as many others, on "seasonal" and told us we would be back in August (2017). Somehow, none of us got called back to work. It would've been nice if we had actually been notified that we were no longer working there. I reapplied (I was told to do so by the current manager), and even got called back to a group interview. I was told that I was at the top of their list, and they were most likely going to hire me back... but I was never called back. I came in to ask why, and they told me that the DM said I didn't have enough sales to be hired back.. even though my sales were never bad and they had told me that they had already checked my sales and were impressed when I had been interviewed. --- Also, on a positive note, the stock room is pretty tidy, the employees are kind for the most part, the music is good, and it's a pretty positive environment. The shoes are good quality, and so are the other items they sell. The employees definitely try their best, and they deserve respect for the hard work they do.
