I came here to grab a few items before checking into my hotel. I was able to browse a bit and locate what I needed fairly quickly. The store was crowded as college students and parents were flooding the aisles for some last minute shopping. I had no issues though. The cashier was nice and well engaged. I was thankful she opened her lane so I could be on my merry little way. read more

Former employe here; In my opinion it would be well worth your time to drive an hour away to another Target vs going here. 1. Security preys on young teens. While working near the security guard one day he kept pointing out guest with "nice body" and a TEENAGER who was "hot" 2. Managers make up everything. If they don't like you they'll refuse your returns even when it's POLICY to accept the return. 3. Managers also like for you to believe the store is "clean" but they never clean even when Covid was the hot topic NO ONE cleaned anything until one employee volunteered to clean the carts (WAY TO GO VAL!) 4. Speaking of Covid I was told to go in while I was waiting for Covid results when I had symptoms. 5. Prices at target in general are ridiculous. The only thing I'd buy from here might be clothes but even then their selection is so small it's not worth trying to find something I like. Basically just don't shop here, don't let your teenage daughters go here alone, and DO NOT EVER APPLY TO WORK AT THIS LOCATION. read more

It's pitiful that the employees cover the titles of books with these stickers, and that these stickers can't come off without watching tutorials and using tools at home. Paying $3 extra at barnes and noble was worth it. I won't be buying books at target again thats for sure. read more

I haven't been to this Target in a while. The jewelry and accessory areas looked like there had been a raid. There weren't many choices. There were a few fun pajama choices on sale in the women's section. Otherwise, I was disappointed. I wanted to buy long johns for hubby and they didn't even have them. The one impressive detail was the neat and tidy $1, $3 & $5 items display at the front of the store. Most Targets look like they had a product explosion due to kids playing with toys and leaving items all over the floor. This area was perfectly organized. read more

Target (Lynchburg, VA) was supposed to have in-store trick-or-treating from 10am-1pm yesterday. . They RAN OUT of candy by 11am. Children showed up in costumes with their parent(s) to trick-or-treat, only to go in and find several other families walking around looking confused. Someone finally said that Target had run out of the candy they were handing out. All of the children were so disappointed. The confused look on the children's faces was enough to make a parent's heart ache. One of the CUSTOMERS (a Dad), that had come with his kids PURCHASED a huge bag of candy FROM Target and spent at least the next hour walking around the store and handing out candy to those families that had come anticipating it. They SELL candy! How could they run out? Why didn't whoever was running the event go and get more candy off the shelves? If you advertise an event from 10-1, you run the event from 10-1! Target knew what they were doing. All of those sad, disappointed kids! Parents need to fix that somehow. How about a new toy? A game maybe? It's all about getting people in the store to spend money. Target, the SAME scenario occurred LAST YEAR. Horrible way to treat children. You've lost many loyal customers over a few bags of candy. read more

Target - You have to love Target and this location is no exception. They have all the basic goods you need for the home, kids, clothes and everything in between. This location, being in Lynchburg, is full of very nice and helpful workers who get you pointed in the right direction. Overall prices are very reasonable and the store is well lit and maintained. Waited in the electronics department for 30 min and know-one would help me with a mobile phone accessory in stock question. I then went online and the item I was looking for showed in stock in Lynchburg. So I ordered and got a notification that it would be ready for pickup in two hours. Two hours later I get a notification that the item is not in stock so I canceled the order. The few employees that I observed while standing there were awful. The work ethic I observed was absolutely horrible and not to mention rude. read more

Target is amazing place to shop with great prices and amazing staff. Me and my family have been shopping at this establishment ever since they opened in Lynchburg for the first time. The staff are very polite and always help you find what you're looking for. They always have plenty of lanes open when it comes time for you to check out and there's plenty of parking. The store also carries dairy items, fruits, vegetables, meats, Frozen goods, dry grocery, and wine and beer. It's a great place to shop and they will continue to have my business. read more

This Target seems to be pretty picked over, which is somewhat understandable considering it's in a college town and it seems to be the only local one that people go to. The dollar section (which is a personal favorite of mine) was extremely small and didn't have much to offer. The overall layout of the store was pretty general and stuff was easy to find for the most part. Nothing really stood out as good or bad just an average Target. However, I am a big believer that any Target is better than a walmart. read more

I dont trust this store after the whole credit card indentity theft problem. Also make sure to double check on the prices on the things you buy! I saw a few awesome hoodies that had a price tag of 11 dollars but when i but when i bought it, it was priced for 15! This wasn't that much a big deal but i was a little grouchy that ill pay 12 dollars more... otherwise if it wasn't for the identity theft , if they get better workers, mine seemed grouchy and basicly threw my stuff in the bag,And get the prices straight, then this wil be rated 5 stars. read more
