They offered us a drink and small bites while we shopped, which was such a kind gesture that helped make it feel more like family than a business. My husband completely customized his Samuelsohn suit, they have so many fabric types and Charlie is great about suggesting what patterns and colors to mix. Anything you want to know about good men's clothing, go ask Charlie. The price is high, we paid around $2000 for a 2 piece suit and tie, but for a custom suit (custom lining, name embroidered inside, custom pockets, everything) you should expect to pay more. We certainly got what we paid for, a beautiful custom suit that he can wear for years to come. We can't wait to return!

I stopped in to look at hats as I lost a hat recently riding on the train. The thing about this place - they have really great prices when things are on sale, but in my opinion the regular prices can be high. I have a lot of clothes from here because they - get this - have women's jeans and cargo pants that have deep pockets! And as a bonus, MOST of them don't reveal my backside when I bend down. Though one pair of jeans did so make sure you try things on. Sizing can be inconsistent or strange. Their shirt sleeves are usually not quite long enough for me. Their cargo pants are available in 3 lengths (each 1 inch apart). I wear the medium length. Since I am 5'9", I think average-sized women might have trouble getting the right length in pants (though the shirt sleeves might be good). Also, these knit hats. I love them, I have (had) 4 of them. But 2 of them stretched out so much I had to put some stitches in them. And maybe I should have done that on the other, maybe I wouldn't have lost it on the California Zephyr.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience when I back less than 24 hours later to return items. I was met by a very aggressive woman with glasses and a beanie. She told me she could not do anything for my boots return because I had worn them for one day, despite telling her they were super tight and hurting my ankles. She refused to call her district manager or customer service or anyone to get another opinion. She told me I needed to call customer service myself if I had an issue. She then tried to correlate my attempted return to the same as someone she dealt with prior that was arrested and in jail and tried to return the shoes with an unknown substance on them?? This woman clearly needs retrained and or removed from this position. She had ZERO empathy for my situation and seemed to be worried about a $225 return then making a customer happy. I know I am going to seriously reconsider future shopping at 5.11 because of her horrendous attitude and ability to be flexible and problem solve. I called customer service after I left the store and they immediately processed a return and refund. Wow, see there is an exception to most situations.

Jerry Ryan had each guy stop in for a fitting for each item, and they all raved about the service they received there! Jerry Ryan also helped to get our ushers dressed too, with the same suit pants as the groomsmen, grey vests, and bowties, to delineate them from the groomsmen.
