They offered us a drink and small bites while we shopped, which was such a kind gesture that helped make it feel more like family than a business. My husband completely customized his Samuelsohn suit, they have so many fabric types and Charlie is great about suggesting what patterns and colors to mix. Anything you want to know about good men's clothing, go ask Charlie. The price is high, we paid around $2000 for a 2 piece suit and tie, but for a custom suit (custom lining, name embroidered inside, custom pockets, everything) you should expect to pay more. We certainly got what we paid for, a beautiful custom suit that he can wear for years to come. We can't wait to return!

These gentlemen know everything about the clothing of that they sell. I've been here one time, Ryan was outstanding, he knows what he is doing when putting together not only an outfit, but also a business. The concept is beautifully executed: Boutique clothing for men who know that they want to pay proper attention to how they presented themselves. I came here looking for an outfit in which I could interview at a VA Hospital, and I felt that the clothing out did what I needed. And yet, over a glass of wine and conversations ranging from topics such as the television business to the finer points of breweries in the Pacific Northwest, I found myself making personal connections and finding clothing with which I am eminently thrilled. I'm not an easy target for a salesperson. I stopped in to look at hats as I lost a hat recently riding on the train. The thing about this place - they have really great prices when things are on sale, but in my opinion the regular prices can be high. I have a lot of clothes from here because they - get this - have women's jeans and cargo pants that have deep pockets! And as a bonus, MOST of them don't reveal my backside when I bend down. Though one pair of jeans did so make sure you try things on. Sizing can be inconsistent or strange. Their shirt sleeves are usually not quite long enough for me. Their cargo pants are available in 3 lengths (each 1 inch apart). I wear the medium length. Since I am 5'9", I think average-sized women might have trouble getting the right length in pants (though the shirt sleeves might be good). Also, these knit hats. I love them, I have (had) 4 of them. But 2 of them stretched out so much I had to put some stitches in them. And maybe I should have done that on the other, maybe I wouldn't have lost it on the California Zephyr.

Duluth has been on my radar for a while so I decided to finally check it out today - so glad I did! It was exactly what I was looking for. I was able to browse around and try on several things in their large easily assessable dressing rooms. There were plenty of staff around but no one hassled me. They had a nice sale going and plenty of seasonably appropriate items to choose from. I walked away with a couple pairs of work dress pants and some button-down collared shirts for work. I kind of felt like a kid doing "back to school" shopping. :) I feel like my spouse would really like it as well since it's also been ages since he's been clothes shopping. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience when I back less than 24 hours later to return items. I was met by a very aggressive woman with glasses and a beanie. She told me she could not do anything for my boots return because I had worn them for one day, despite telling her they were super tight and hurting my ankles. She refused to call her district manager or customer service or anyone to get another opinion. She told me I needed to call customer service myself if I had an issue. She then tried to correlate my attempted return to the same as someone she dealt with prior that was arrested and in jail and tried to return the shoes with an unknown substance on them?? This woman clearly needs retrained and or removed from this position. She had ZERO empathy for my situation and seemed to be worried about a $225 return then making a customer happy. I know I am going to seriously reconsider future shopping at 5.11 because of her horrendous attitude and ability to be flexible and problem solve. I called customer service after I left the store and they immediately processed a return and refund. Wow, see there is an exception to most situations.

We had each groomsmen wear nice grey suit pants and a white shirt with suspenders and tie. Jerry Ryan had each guy stop in for a fitting for each item, and they all raved about the service they received there! Jerry Ryan also helped to get our ushers dressed too, with the same suit pants as the groomsmen, grey vests, and bowties, to delineate them from the groomsmen. While I didn't get to wear any of the items myself, I can attest to how happy I was with the result and how great ALL the fellas looked at the wedding - all thanks to Jerry Ryan!

As fortunes would have it, my brother passed and I really wanted to show the proper respect to my brother. I requested a "rush" on the final cut of the suit. The only reason they don't get 5 stars was the hassle they gave us about not returning the day after. We explained to multiple workers beforehand that we were getting married in Cancun and no one would be able to return until the Monday after our wedding (we married on a Saturday). They said that wouldn't be a problem but when the groomsmen tried to return, it was a massive problem. This isn't location specific as the groomsmen were from all over the place, but my suggestion is get that in writing so they cannot fight it. The last thing I wanted to deal with before my honeymoon was tux returns!
