Finally a great priced good sized cheesesteak! Service was nice and food was hot and place was clean.

I've enjoyed seeking out store front restaurants for years. It's always an adventure to walk in, learn the menu, the decor, and the staff....all in a moment before you order your food. Old Philly was no different. Listening to the clang of the grill as they shredded meat behind an enthusiastic hello gave us a great first impression. The food made a lasting memory that will have us back from the Aurora area. The sandwiches are generous and flavorful. The fries superb. The onion rings delicious. If you haven't visited this place.....RUN. It will certainly be worth your travel time. If you live in the neighborhood, I'm sure you've already discovered this gem. read more

Went out on a limb with my friend due to her craving for a Philly. Ordering takes a bit of work since kitchen is just behind cashier/waitress (and sadly still have plastic divider due to Covid requirements), but overall not terrible - just need to practice a little patience and loud speaking, while appreciating the visual of the hard work put into making your meal. Menu seemed pretty extensive with something for everyone! I ordered the pepper cheesesteak with mixed peppers, daughter got the turkey hoagie, and husband got the slam. He liked mine better because was more traditional style without the fluff of toppings like lettuce. Will say I indulged in adding nacho cheese to mine, because WHY NOT?!? The line to order gets long fast (small spaces will do that!) but tends to subside about every 10-15 mins. Nobody seemed to wait much longer than about 15 mins for their food, which was served extremely fresh and hot!!! I think that the food was yummy and we will visit again! This is the new, revamped Old Philly Town cheesesteak shop. They definitely have come a good way since then, so if you haven't been in a while it's worth checking out again. The highlight of the pepper steak was the bread, which was slightly crispy but still soft enough to tear through. The cheese and peppers were also great. The meat had a good texture, but it was just a little bit bland. Maybe it needs just a little salt, black pepper, or garlic when it's getting cooked. Next time I'll try the korean steak, which sounds a bit more flavorful, and add some hot peppers. read more

I don't even know how I found this place. It's in Broomfield, in the same strip mall as a Kmart and a hobby lobby. The best Philly Cheese steak I've had in Denver. I've not been to Philly so I don't know what an authentic cheese steak is, or how it measures up to this joint. One time, i rolled in 5 min before closing, everything was put away and the grill was clean but they happily made my sammich with out complaint. The spelling of Old(e) Philly Town(e) seems to vary depending on what sign you're reading. But that doesn't matter because you can drive by the place a hundred times before realizing it's there, tucked away next door to the DMV and facing away from 120th. But to drive by hundreds of times and never try Philly Town would be a mistake, because it's a great lunch option. I had a Chicken Slam: Chicken slices, onions, and mushrooms were all grilled up fresh to order and topped with peppers, cheese (swiss, I think), lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and mayo. I like a sandwich place where there are some options that come pre-loaded. Fries on the side. The sandwich was quite tasty, especially considering its price tag at under $6. My fries, while crispy, had that "dumped out of the bag" taste and texture -- I think I'll just get the sandwich next time. Visited last weekend and enjoyed some great cheesesteaks with my family. Surprised that there were no kids meals that included a cheesesteak, so we got a large and split if for them. It was their first cheesesteak experience and a they loved it. Would go 5 stars if there was a cheese steak kids option I enjoyed the peppersteak. I love hot and spicy food and this hit the spot. Slight crunch to the bread, right amount of melted cheese, peppers and of course grease to keep it moist. Great sandwich. My wife had the Green Chile Cheesesteak. This was a nice southwest twist on a Northeast favorite. Spicy, smokey and steaky (that's now a thing). My wife doesn't like cheese, so the chili made a great replacement on the sandwich. You don't need to be from philly to enjoy a great cheesesteak, you can be from Broomfield and visit this place. It's great. read more

I'm sorry normally I would rate higher I love philly cheese steaks and I have a high expectation I have not tried the other food, but I will be going back to try other stuff I did not care for the Philly here though I ordered a small fries and a Philly it was $10.04 fries were not seasoned no salt nothing and philly wasn't as good as I hoped this doesn't mean that there food is bad I will be back to see if the other sandwiches taste good! Seriously fell in love with the place at first bite. The cheesteak comes out fresh and greasy (greasy for me is excellent) and they have banana peppers and dressings off to the side. I usually get the Slam Cheesesteak which is fantastic. I get it with root beer, something about that combo is spot on. I recommend eating here just because if it sits on the way home it looses some of its magic, but it's still the best cheesesteak around! read more

This was my first visit to Old Philly Town. I'm trying to find a good Philly Steak close to my home. The staff there is totally polite and friendly. I ordered the classic Philly and green chili cheese fries. The food there tasted very good. The cheese steak tasted authentic and the chili cheese fries had just the right amount of "bite and burn" to it. I am impressed, and the only reason I didn't give them a perfect 5 stars was the size of the sandwich was on the smaller side. Excellent experience at Old Philly Town. Ok. So I'm not from Philadelphia. BUT... this is a pretty great sandwich. I usually get the philly grand slam half & half (little mild, little hot). It ALWAYS hits the spot. Yes, the interior is outdated. But who cares? You run in, get your sandwich to go, enjoy the beefy, cheesy goodness. The only reason why it's 4 stars and not 5 , is because I notice something is different, but I can't put my finger on it. Really, why have hours posted if you are going to close early whenever you want. Completely disappointed! I used Yelp to make sure they were open. It made it so easy to order online. I gave the pickup time, and even got a confirmation email that my order was received. Pull up at 8:33, 27 mins before closing and they were walking out locking up. That is some bad customer service!! We have been going their since 2005. I have always voted for them in the Best of... Really makes me sad that I set out to support small business and they could careless about their customers. The worst is all they had to do was call me and say hey we are closing early tonight can you come at 8:20 instead of 8:40. (I placed my order at 8:01.) Truly the best cheesesteak sandwich I have ever had. It is all so good, not too many grilled onions, and wrapped in the best bread ever. I'm not even sure there are other items on the menu (there are, I kid) but I dream about this sandwich. I have to assume the rest of the food they offer is pretty amazing if it is anything like the cheesesteak. I go 40 minutes round trip for this thing. P.S. I normally love this place but today was horrible! I am highly allergic to onions and the owner is always accommodating to this but clearly she wasn't there today. I ordered my usual chicken cheesesteak with hot peppers without onions. I stated several times that I was allergic and needed the grill cleaned prior to cooking my food. I'm not sure if that happened but there were onions, lettuce, pickles and tomatoes on my sandwich. I had an allergic reaction which caused me to have to take my Epi pen and it ruined my Mother's Day! Olde Philly Towne is classic great hole-in-the-wall family-run dining. Hard to find, never advertises, great food, around for many years - through economic upturns and downturns. I always get a Grand Slam (or Chicken grand slam on rare occasions).. It's the kind of place where you go and they don't give you a number or ask your name, but when your food's ready they unerringly bring it to your table - hot and delicious. Great sandwiches, hot and crisp fries. Really hard to beat for what it is. I confess I go there about once a week, and of course, they already know what I'm going to order. Love this place! You certainly don't go for the atmosphere which is very plain but always clean. But it's a "fast" food restaurant with GREAT food made hot every time. The Grand Slam is yummy and the fried zucchini sticks are the best! Even their Ranch dip seems better than others. The same girl is always working the cash register so I think she must be an owner. Tips: If you're getting your sandwich to go, get the cheese "flipped" so that it doesn't all stick to the wrapper. We lived in Westminster for years and loved to come get the Grand Slam Philly with hot peppers! Delicate beef rib eye slices, onions, and mushrooms all grilled fresh to order and topped with peppers, cheese. We were recently back to see family and stopped in for the same fantastic food and service. The buns are soft and the cheese melts all over the meat and vegetables creating a delicious meal. Order the fries but skip the onion rings. Zucchini is good too! We had a friend deliver some Philly Slams to another friend having some health issues and they loved the surprise and the great treat! The small store front dictates coming at 11:30 for lunch or after 1 if you want to eat in! Consistent quality for years.. great place to eat and 5 stars for the Philly Grand Slam! read more
