There's a huge selection of sandwiches and dogs. The decorations included lots of baseball photos and action shots. My favorite was the photo of Pete Rose sliding into second base. He looks like Superman flying over the dirt! Trying to make sense of the wall menu was difficult. Almost too many as to be confusing because several sandwiches are similar in content. The huge menu on the wall doesn't give prices for all the items and it's very deceptive in my opinion. Our bill for a Chicago dog, a pastrami sandwich and a Cuban sandwich with one order of fries and 3 drinks came to over $50 which is stupid pricey IMHO. There were at least 5 people working behind the counter and our order came out fairly fast. I felt the sandwiches were very skimpy on the meat and nothing came with a side included. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy. Obviously a good takeout biz as well! There were three of us and I ordered the Cuban, my wife the pastrami on rye and the third was the Big Hurt dog. The Cuban was ok, it needed more meet cheese and toasted longer. The pastrami was good but the bread fell apart. The dog was great. Fries were cooked great. It's a very baseball styled place with great pictures! I'd go back, but would try a regular sandwich. I finally found the perfect Chicago Style Italian Beef Sandwich close to my home. Very difficult to find around here. I drove up from Arvada with my wife to give them a try and she ordered the cheese curds as well. Being from Chicago, I finally felt I walked into my home. The associates knew the lingo as I ordered my Italian beef "naked and wet". He said, "I know what you mean, let me take care of you". Service was quick and all the staff friendly. If the owner is at home, then he/she can rest assured they hired the right group to run this place. The place is clean (including the restroom), staff were excellent and there was plenty to look at while you wait. I went at noon on a Sunday expecting lines or at least very busy but it wasn't. We had never been here before but we knew that we wanted hot dogs. My son ordered 2 Bambinos that is a dog smothered with onions and sauerkraut. I ordered a big Nazty that is a dog smothered with green chil, onionsi and shredded cheddar cheese. We both agreed the dogs were good and satisfied our cravings. It's counter ordering so service is a non issue. The place was clean and the prices were fair. Home Team Deli is a baseball themed sandwich shop featuring hot and cold subs, wraps, salads, hot dogs, and polish sausage. Some sandwiches are Chicago style (Italian beef and Chicago hot dogs) while others are totally east coast (Taylor ham and Philly Cheesesteak). I'm super familiar with east coast style sandwiches so I was impressed to see Taylor Ham / Pork roll on the menu. The menu is huge - which can be overwhelming to some. I definitely recommend looking online to figure out what to eat before coming! You can also order online for pickup, which can be helpful. All sandwiches can be customized and they even offer build your own sandwiches and salads. There are gluten-free and vegan options. I ordered #42 The Jackie - which is a warm chicken pesto w/fresh mozzarella, tomato, and roasted red pepper. I really liked this! The pesto was tasty as heck and the bread was very crispy. My partner got #15 The Laser Show - which was a classic Italian Hoagie. He liked it a lot. We split an order of fries which were extra crispy shoestring or matchstick fries. They were fresh and good but a little too crispy for me. They offer chili cheese fries and other fry toppings - that would be good! Two sandwiches, one fry, and a fountain drink was about $40 - which seems a little pricy for the size of the sandwich, although the taste was good. There are two tables for outdoor seating and a good amount of indoor seating. There are tons of deli sides, including soups, green chile, chips, big pickle from a jar, potato salad, and pasta salad. They have fountain drinks, lemonade, tea, and a variety of bottled drinks. Anything you're craving from a deli - I guarantee they have it! I came in with zero expectations and a craving for a Reuben. Coming from the east coast with the best sandwiches I was pretty hesitant of the reviews but figured why not. And can I say.... I am so pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was THICK, delicious and fresh. The staff was friendly and fast and my pickup order was ready when it said it would be. Imagine that! I've been wanting to try this place for sometime, finally had a chance to go in today. I could not be more disappointed. The Polish sausage was warmed over at best, the casing was very tough very hard to bite through. It came with french fries on it, there were seven of them, they may have been cooked in the last two or three hours. I'm not sure. Finally...FINALLY! This is the place that my little heart needed here in Colorado. A *true* city deli that is based in the classics. Not these sandwich shops but an actual deli. Now this isn't a Jewish deli like I prayed for but this is going to get the job done for me. Maybe this is better than what I hoped for. Next, let me bring your attention to the chili cheese fries. Yes, chili cheese fries. Now, as someone from Colorado you might read this and assume that I am talking green chili. That is a mistake. Elsewhere they do chili cheese fries with "red" or beef chili. It is almost impossible to find fries like this out here in Colorado and Home Team's version blew me away. I didn't want to stop eating them. I could tell the second I stepped into this place that it was going to be for me. Long counter to make the food, fridges to buy peppers, relish, and cold salads. Ample seating and a busy group of employees. I can't wait to try everything on the menu, not a single thing looks bad. I have heard about Pork Roll for so long and this is finally my time to try it. Sandwhich photo online had little more meat but it was still good little sad it didnt come with a pickle. If you like it sauce you want to ask for more sauce or side. Went with my daughter and her husband the other day and it was fantastic! I had the Schmidt which was a Phili. Cheesesteak and it was great. My daughter had the Henry Aaron which is a crispy chicken sandwich with melted American cheese topped with pickles, crispy onions, romaine, tomatoes mayo on a grilled Brioche bun and she loved it. Saw the Vienna beef umbrellas driving by and crossed my fingers they would have hot Italian Chicago beef sandwiches here, and they do!! Ordered to-go, (the ryno) hot Italian beef with hot giardiniera and au jus, (the schmidty) Philly cheesesteak, and a bowl of green chili and two Rice Krispies. The inside of the restaurant is really cute, would love to dine in someday, and it smelled great inside. The order was completed quickly and on time, the staff was also really friendly. The sandwiches were amazing! I do wish we could have dined in, just because the bread did start to get a little soggy from the drive, but not too badly! It was wrapped well and seriously very tasty. Home Team Deli is amazing. My husband and I got take-out tonight, and we were both astounded when we opened our sandwich boxes. If you get a sandwich here, there is no way you will go to bed hungry! For my sandwich I chose #1-"The Wizard". This was Chicken Parmesan on an 8" Italian roll. The sandwich included breaded chicken cutlet, marinara, lots of fresh mozzarella, and it was topped with two fried ravioli. It was just SO GOOD. I would absolutely give this a 10/10! My husband chose #92-"The Vladdy Sr". This sandwich was a California Pastrami Dip. It included a ridiculous amount of pastrami, yellow mustard (my husband switched for brown mustard) melted Swiss cheese and pickles. It was served on a toasted Italian roll and was dipped in Au Jus. It was also served with a cup of Au Jus. My husband is a good eater, but he barely made it through half of the sandwich. He told me that the sandwich is on par with a pastrami sandwich he's had at Katz's Deli in New York. Definitely a 10/10! Obviously, I highly recommend Home Team Deli. Ok yup, just found our new local go-to sandwich spot. I've been on the hunt for a good quality/east coast sandwich and the Home Team Deli delivered. We ordered the Laser Show (Italian sub), the Awesome Dawson, and a side of fries. Everything was really tasty. The meats were all good quality and a nice variety of flavor. We opted to get the Italian spiced Mayo and add it which was a game-changer. (Can this be added as an add-on option pretty please? It's so good). The bread was decent and some of the better quality I've had in the area which is tough to find. The banana peppers were a nice touch. The Awesome Dawson was just that - awesome. We opted to get the bread toasted and retoasted a little at home because the bread was still a bit soft, but it was delicious. The meats are juicy and tender and that slaw is dynamite. This will for sure be heavy in the lunch rotation from now on. We also really liked the fries, which were thick and crispy shoestring style. For $3.50 it's a nice add on. All in all, a great experience. Was easy to place a pick-up order and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The place is roomy and clean. Will be back (very soon). read more

Can we talk delicious sandwiches for a minute? How about a sandwich shop in Colorado that has full pickles you can get for a dollar and have it quartered? If that sounds good to you then you should def get a sandwich here. I had the chicken pesto sandwich and it was pretty bad ass and flavorful. Really enjoyed it and the pesto was super tasty. They also didn't skimp on ingredients, which is nice in this day and age. Next up at bat, the chicken noodle soup! This was a great compliment to the sandwich! Really hit the spot in a cold day. It was actually better than I thought it would be! Pinch hitting for the food is the service and employees! Nothing but good vibes and super helpful asking my slightly boomered (is that a word) questions. Better than most sandwich places I've been too. The ambiance was nice too. They were very good, then we also split an order of chili cheese fries. They were literally the worst we have ever had, the fries were barely cooked and the green chili was absolutely horrible, the only flavor at all was onion, no green chili taste, if you were blindfolded you wouldn't be able to tell it was green chili. I took the guy behind the counter I hadn't eaten all day and was hungry and that I couldn't decide between the pastrami and the Italian beef. The hotdog was probably the worst one we have ever had and the sandwich was a sandwich I could make at home. It's bright and clean with a big time baseball theme; see the pic of the walls. The selection is simply vast, with sandwitch names that probably all are baseball references; See pic of the menu board. I'm not enough of a baseball nut to decode them all, but "The Cyrus Cobb," "The Bonds," and "The Green Monster" (vegetarian) are clear even to me. We had "The Big Unit" and "The Awesome Dawson"; see pics. Both at least 2 inches high, just stuffed; see pics. I can attest that "The Awesome Dawson" - turkey, roast beef, 100 Island & swiss on rye - indeed tastes absolutely awesome. My wife ate just half of her "The Big Unit". Too big for her, so we took the rest home. My taste said the turkey & alfalfa sprouts and avocado (on 12 grain) is a really great combination. Food seemed pretty good hard to say I waited over 15 minutes for them to make fries even though my sandwich was finished well before then by the time I received my fries. When I got home less than 5 mins away my sandwich and au jus were both cold. I under sometimes equipment can be an issue but it was a long time and completely effected the taste of the sandwich. So not the fairest assessment. I may go back but would not recommend right when they open. read more
