If you've never worked with butterflies, I can tell you that they have the attention span of a fruit fly and are apt to fly away in a blink. But Doug was willing to accept the challenge. He arrived exactly on time for our appointment and already knew a perfect location for the subject. I used as many tricks as I could think of to make my little friends cooperative and then hoped for the best. We had SO much fun, with as many as 10 butters in some of the photos. I still had another garment with them and when i went to pick it up i just didn't have the damaged garment with me. I never refused, he's lying. I said i needed to understand the process and what they would do (I'm nervous about it getting further damage) but he kept repeating that i refused to bring it back which never was the case. When i spoke to him he referred to using other chemicals to determine the cause of the issue and I'm not necessarily keen on them doing stuff i don't understand at this point. He wanted to overtalk me and not listen. Thats why i don't feel comfortable anymore. Why wouldn't i bring it back if that's how i get made whole? He's not making sense. I feel completely let down by these guys after using them exclusively for at least 4 years. They didn't call me back for 2 weeks after damaging a very expensive garment, insinuated that I'm making it up, and accused me of refusing to bring it back. I would've had no problem doing so had i understood the process/remedy but i don't really want them messing up my stuff even more. When talking to Brett about my apprehensions , he was very dismissive and unprofessional. He even stopped listening and it turned into a confrontation bc he would laugh at me while I'm talking as if my situation is funny. I don't feel comfortable working with him/them anymore. Since he said he doesn't care about my review, here it is.

Unlike other service providers, Lucy went beyond asking my home's square footage and general state of cleanliness. She visited my home (on the same day) to walk the rooms and get a true understanding of the scope of work and my specific desires. The quote given was very reasonable and we chose to move forward with an initial deep clean. Our home was tidy, but our previous (nationally franchised) maid service seemed to be getting less thorough with each session so the deep clean gave us peace of mind and a great reset. Lucy was wonderful with scheduling us for a time that worked for my family, and we appreciated her flexibility! Yesterday was our deep clean and OH BOY did her team go above and beyond. Lucy and her associate arrived on-time, fully stocked with cleaning products, and great spirits. They spent over five hours in my home scrubbing things until they sparkled. They cleaned items never touched by my old service including ceiling fans and under the couches. Additionally, they were able to remove stains on my walls that I had given up on. The kitchen and 2 1/2 bathrooms have never looked better! Sinks and appliances look brand new despite being almost ten years old. We are very grateful for Lucy and have already set up to be recurring customers. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Give her a chance and skip the national franchises. I received a notice about this estate event and it prompted me to inform people about what happened…read moreto me at State St. Jewelers. In June 2023 the diamond fell out of my engagement ring. I took it into State Street Jewelers along with my other heirloom antique family ring. I was having trouble with the antique ring staying stones up because the their weight of the stones and the atrophy of my finger. They showed me various ways of correcting the problem with their best suggestion being the setting that opens like a claim shell with an instrument that opens the setting in half. I was told I needed one new diamond in the antique ring because one was chipped in addition to the new setting to keep the ring from rolling under to the palm of my hand. I also elected to upgrade my wedding band from a band with diamonds going 3/4 of the way around to a full eternity ring with larger diamonds. With the larger diamonds, it was too much to continue to wear all three rings on on one finger so I opted to have my engagement stone placed in an earring setting and bought an addition stone that was the closest stone to match. We pay a lot of money for the new setting, the replacement stone for one that I was told was damaged, a new eternity band with more diamonds, an additional diamond to match my engagement diamond and then to have both of those made into earrings. After all was done and delivered I was happy with the looks. The earring were fine and the eternity ring was fine, Unfortunately, after only wearing the antique ring for a short period of time the clam shell setting popped open for no reason. When it popped open my ring fell off. Fortunately it fell in the car and I was able to locate it. I took it in and they adjusted it. Then it happened again. I took it in again. All of these incidents happened in a short period of time after receiving the ring. I felt that the setting was defective but State Street insisted on doing minor adjustments and returning it to me. In October we moved from Greensboro to Maryland. After arriving the same problem continued to persist with the clam shell popping open with no cause or reason. I contacted State Street and let them no about the issue. I was told that I would have to return to Greensboro to have anything done to fix the ring because they would need to have my finger. I am not driving 7 hours to have them fix a ring that I was having problems with before we left. I continued to wear it a short time after arriving in Maryland until the frequently in which it opened on it's own made it too risky and I have not worn my ring for a year. I am very disappointed that with the amount of money we spent and the problems I had right after receiving the ring. Their only solution was for me to return personally to Greensboro. The setting was clearly defective and should have been replaced after the second time it popped open. All the money we paid to State Street jeweler and I am going to have to pay for a new band here in Maryland. A band that was clearly defective from the start. So think twice about doing business with State Street unless you are absolutely sure you will never be leaving Greensboro. I got a defective band and now the cost of replacing that is going to be on me. To say I am disappointed and unhappy is putting it mildly.

I told him the time, exact location, shared my live location, and sent him pictures of us ahead of time so he knew what we looked like. Of course I wasn't going to call him on the way there when my soon to be fiance was in the car with me not knowing I was going to propose. Why would I need to? He had my live location. Furthermore, if requesting the un-edited photos is so big a burden because your edited photos are too blurry, perhaps you shouldn't be a professional photographer. As I said before, you get what you pay for.

The pictures taken by Lindley were of amateur quality at best. Blurred and blurry pics. More pictures of the food than of the actual couple being celebrated like it was a restaurant menu instead of a baby shower. When approached as to why we didn't get a full picture of the table with our pictures on it, her response was that she did not want to be redundant of pictures that we already had, but yet over 50% of our pictures were of the food that we provided for our guest and of the guest eating which obviously are not very flattering. Our guest we showed the photos of themselves did even want those pictures posted, and even the person who referred us to Lindley felt bad. We asked for a partial refund, since she required payment upfront and we were denied because she didnt like that I told her that her pictures were not satisfactory and unprofessional. Do yourselves a favor and hire anyone else, or if you are on a budget, use a disposable camera and find a 5 years old to take the pictures. This is what we get for hiring a self entitled millennial whom Im sure Mommy and Daddy bought a camera for her so she could call herself a photographer. We would have continued to hire her for our upcoming future photography needs, but unfortunately after dealing with the disappointment and lack of professionalism, I can not see ever speaking to her again and in good faith can not and will not feel comfortable letting others I know ever hire her in the future.
