After meeting Bart and Joseph we were so impressed with the facility and the price, we decided at that time to purchase our plots for the future. My wife passed on April 11th 2025 and they handled everything professionally and thoroughly. Jamie handled all the details of the funeral with the utmost respect and care for our family. We felt like we were given their full attention as if we were family. The chapel and viewing rooms are beautiful and met our needs. The cemetery itself is beautiful and well laid out. They made the whole process easy, and their attention to detail was impressive.

The day after my sister passed I was given Bart Williams(owner of funeral home) phone number and told to call him he wants to help my family out financially. I have never met or spoken to Bart, I didn't know who he was. He said he had heard our tragic story that happened on Thanksgiving day and wanted to help us out. I had started a GoFundMe account that morning that had already reached $3,000 in just hours to help us pay for my sister's funeral services . When my sister passed we had actually had her picked up from a different funeral home and had been already quoted a price of just $7,300 for what we wanted for her services. When Bart talked to me he offered to do the same services for the amount we had already raised in GoFundMe. He knew the exact dollar amount because he told me how much we had. This immediately took a huge burden off our my families shoulders at such a difficult time. So of course we choose to have my sister picked up from the original funeral home and taken to Canton funeral home and cemetery in Macedonia. James (the funeral home director) called me to schedule a time to come in and plan her services. At this time we talked about what Bart had offered us financially and I told him that I would be closing the GoFundMe account so people would stop donating since we had what we needed. Jamie advised me not to close it and keep it open longer and that the more money we raised the better services we could have for her. So I went back and deleted my update that said we have reached our goal and then left it open. Me and my family met with Jamie to discuss the arrangements and we were happy with what was discussed until he got to the very end and he told us how much it would be which was like $6.700. I reminded him about the conversation that Bart and I had for the funeral services being just over $3,000. We had chosen a book for our guests to sign, and chose to have her obituary printed on cards that ppl could take with them and we knew how much more that would be when we chose it. The price that was quoted was just $500 less than the original funeral home we had picked out for her. Why would we move her for that cost and not stay where we knew the people. I then told Jamie I will call Bart and speak to him. He said for me not to worry, he would call him and follow up with he. Once he called me back he did agree that Bart said he would do it for just over the $3,000 that he originally offered but now mygofund account has reached over $4,000. (During this whole process they updated me on my GoFundMe balance three times). Jamie asked me what would be fair for us to pay them for what they are offering to do for us. I told him I was greatful and didn't want to come off as rude but that we had planned all along to raise money for flowers and to cover the cost of the GoFundMe fees as well as the services. Any extra money we had we would give to them. Of course they need money immediately to start preparing to have the services. But they gave us another day to keep raising money. That on the day of viewing they would need $6,500 knowing we had just over $4,000. Now the original funeral home quoted is $7,300 for same services so at this point we were up set that we moved her and have gone thru this back and forth over money for a savings of $800. Jamie asked that we go online and choose an obituary that we liked from all the previous once posted and let him know which one we wanted and to email him information and he would have that taken care of by end of day. He said he would post, for me to review it and make him aware of any thing that needed to be corrected. He did this and called me to follow up. I made him aware of at least 5 errors on it with my sisters name misspelled at least three times. Jamie said he would correct tomorrow but continued to have it posted online and social media. Our family got calls, texts and lots of messages letting us know of all the errors. I wrote her obituary and emailed it in a word document so should have been simple to copy and paste. It was eventually fixed after I called back the next day mid day to complain. **Other things that happened are: Night of viewing we had families bring food and it was placed on a dining room table, no problem with this until two of the workers were doing paper work at the table(instead of their desk or offices) so no one could sit there. When I went to get a sandwich off the tray I had to move some paperwork off of the top of the tray so I could get a sandwich. Also, the staff was seen eating the food as well. No problem with this but could have at least waited until everyone had a chance to eat but we ran out of food. **The door to where the deceased are worked on was open so three of the child ther

I can highly recommend paying a visit to fallen heroes. Around Christmas time a wreath was placed on every grave to honor buried soldiers, and for 4th of July American flags can be seen all over the cemetery. These are absolutely breathtaking sights. Take some time and embrace the beauty, and the history of our country.

Major General William Tecumseh Sherman massed more than 100,000 men, including the Armies of the Cumberland, the Ohio, and the Tennessee, and set out from Chattanooga in May 1864. They faced off against 55,000 Confederate soldiers led by General Joseph E. Johnston, and later General John B. Hood. On June 10, the Confederates set up a defensive line north of Marietta, between Pine Mountain and Brush Mountain. Johnston was forced to retreat Kennesaw Mountain. In this vicinity, the Union and Confederacy traded victories at the Battles of Kolb's Farm and Kennesaw Mountain. Eventually, the Union pressed the Confederates back towards Atlanta, with Sherman finally capturing the city on September 2. In November, the city of Marietta became the first casualty of Sherman's "March to the Sea," after Union General Hugh Kilpatrick set the city ablaze. The site of the national cemetery was once a proposed location for the Confederate Capitol building. The owner of the land, Henry Greene Cole, a Marietta businessman and Union loyalist, offered to donate the property as a cemetery for both Union and Confederate soldiers, but there was no agreement on the offer. Eventually, Cole donated the land for use as a national cemetery, and in 1866, a program to reinter nearly 10,000 Union dead from Sherman's Atlanta campaign began at the new cemetery, which was originally known as the Marietta and Atlanta Cemetery. Over the next 3 years Union soldiers from Dalton to Augusta were disinterred and reinterred at the Marietta National Cemetery. These men had been buried with wooden grave markers, and by 1869, when the last group was transferred, many of the markers and the names were gone. More than 17,000 men are buried here, more than 3,000 of them unknown. To thank Cole, the Federal Government named him the first superintendent of the cemetery, and provided a burial plot for the Cole family. Henry died April 17, 1875, and is buried in Grave 1 of the Cole Section.

Driving into to the area and parking was easy as well as getting out of there. The funeral service was held elsewhere but this establishment offers the option to have your loved one's service on location. Since I didn't make any arrangements, I do not have any idea about the fees and price options. However, I do highly recommend checking this business out if you face death in the family.
