Not very Veteran Friendly! On the window entering there is a…read moresign. It reads, Show your Military ID and get 15% off. Nowhere does it say you have to be a "member". When I wasn't asked, I inquired. Showed that we indeed are, identified by NC' version of a veteran ID by the label on our driver license. We have to prove we are honorably discharged to get that. The cashier says rather curtly that Technically you have to be active. But I'll give it to you anyway.... Nope! Sign doesn't say active duty. Long story short. If your offering"Veteran Discounts". You need to honor that. I will let base know how you treated some of their ranking Veterans and treated them with such disrespect. Please fix you POS system. An eight year old is not trying to scam you for a $10 book. We are still short some money's too by the way. But don't worry you pretty head about it. We made it right. I will do my best to let the military know that Michael's in Southern Pines NC is NOT very friendly to veterans. As infrequently as we go into this particular store why would we be a member? If you offering to one you should be offering to all. I hope you realize that we earned our titles. Your welcome also. If you would have shown such disrespect in any other country you can find yourself in some serious trouble. Vets paid the price for you to show your true self like that. It's called the 1st amendment. Without us veterans you would not have the rights you still possess. Selection is still the same old stuff in the two sections I frequent. I'm an avid model builder. Was hoping to see some new inventory. No such luck My crew has already decided we will not be back. I will make sure base knows how you treat America's finest. Let's see if we can get you blackballed. I'm sure you've treated other vets in this manner. You did it to easily. Do it to enough of us and we are no longer allowed to shop in that store. We dealt with dark cabinets, dark paint, and a footprint we didn't think would be advantageous to buyers as we get set to list our house this fall. We are blessed to live in a very sought-after neighborhood, and we needed our kitchen to reflect it! Kelly Ladouceur was amazing working with us to make sure our vision was met while also balancing our budget. Anyone who has ever redone a kitchen knows scope can creep. She worked with us and our contractors (who were amazing on their own) to put us right where we needed to be. As someone who previously wondered why you would use a design company to do work that you could hire out yourself, I can tell you everything we did was well worth it and ended up providing an amazing value. If I could post great reviews of our contractors as well, I would. They worked with us, tried to save us cost where they could, and were very much respectful of our home and our family throughout the process. Amazing experience!!!
