The first time we ever went there we were mocked for not knowing how it worked. We were there for my son's 6th birthday, but luckily kids are oblivious to that. We tried again and had a much better experience checking in as it was with a different gentleman, but unfortunately, we had a negative experience leaving. Our child accidentally spilled some food and we apologized to a different guy as we were leaving and he rolled his eyes at us and said "Jesus." We felt awful. I work with the public and if I spoke to someone like that, I would be fired. Anyway- I want to love it, and the building was beautiful and felt clean, but we can't justify going back.

We were looking for a place to get out of the oppressive heat when we stumbled upon the Madras Cinema 5. This isn't the most luxurious theater that we've ever been in, but our experience with this cinema warrants our 5-star review. Parking was plentiful and free. Staff, who sold both tickets and concessions, were friendly and efficient. Tickets were a bargain at $7 for showings before 6 pm. The theater had comfortable seating and good picture and sound quality. Restrooms were clean. And, most importantly for this particular day -- they had great temperature control! Unfortunately, the movie that we selected wasn't too good, but we can't blame the cinema for that!
