Starting in 2022 the Bear Trace courses are now collecting sales tax on greens fees which results in a price increase of almost 10% over the previous rates.

Very friendly and accommodating. The course itself needs some work, but they will be the first to admit that and it sounds like they are going to put in the work that it needs. I'm excited to return next summer and see the progress. Even when we played in November, the greens and tee boxes were still OK. My one main complaint is that the distance markers at the tee boxes and on the scorecard don't match up, and even when they do it is obviously apparent the distance is incorrect (I play frequently and know how far I hit my shots -- a few times I ended up in the water off the tee or WELL short of some hazard; so that's how I know the distances are off). Hopefully this is fixed come next spring. All in all, can't wait to play here again.

This owner claims he helps the needy but what I see he plainly tells the needy he doesn't care and then band them where they can't get food. I( I have had times I was able to be a paying customer to play the games ) he plainly stated I don't care if you don't care you shouldn't be putting food in a blessing box and claiming you help the needy.

One of them lead you to an amazing waterfall ( don't forget bring your watershoes), you can swim and get into waterfall. Second, there are upscale cabins. They pay attention to every detail. My favorite is local roast ground coffee in our room. Third, the chef cook from scratch. They provide o'dour before 4 courses dinner and buffet breakfast. Even they gave us Togo lunch boxes when you checkout! Forth, the awesome and kind stuff. From check in, waitresses to bar tender, they have a great service. Fifth, the great location, it's just hour and half from Nashville. We enjoyed the peaceful and warm atmosphere. Five points to five stars. Totally recommend. Actually 3 of our friends already book their stay after we told them this awesome place. Can't wait to go back.

The teetime reservation system is the worst I've ever seen. It is online only and open only a couple times per year. The customer service is even worse than that! I made a $40 reservation on a teetime for a week ago when it was raining, so I called the clubhouse to see about a rain check. I called four times and never got a hold of anyone in the pro shop, and never received a callback from anyone either. I emailed the pro shop as well and again had no response to my email either. So, I'm out $40 now and never even got to change my teetime. I will say it is very disappointing to have this type of customer service from any business. We will not be going back. There are many public golf courses around here and the ones that want you to know they are closed have gates or something else not allowing you to come in and this place has none. I was chipping on the public golf green when approached by the owner of the club. My family had done business with him for years, we actually helped him start his coffee business in the county. Dan proceeded to give me the story of people hitting range balls everywhere insulating I had done so, as I was only chipping. He then proceeded to completely lose his cool while screaming at me "get your shit, and leave my property". I wanted to tell him "I've been asked to leave better places than this", but he went inside before we could have an actual conversation, and I left. The owner Dan owns many buffets around fayetteville Tennessee and what he asked me to do was equivalent of asking someone not to go back to his buffet. There were no signs saying they were closed and the sun was still up. This man is not as nice as everyone in the country wants to think and the golf course is total trash. STAY AWAY!!!!!
