At least the bare trees allow views of the surrounding lake which are mostly obscured in the summer. Starting in 2022 the Bear Trace courses are now collecting sales tax on greens fees which results in a price increase of almost 10% over the previous rates.

The kid that was there acted like he didn't want me as a member And told me that there were no memberships that included weekend play times if they get away with that and they're now rude I would not recommend coming here. There are other golf courses within driving distance that don't have this mentality.

"Sorry all booked up and the back 9 is closed" You don't have any room anywhere to fit a 2some in? "Nope all booked up with 4somes." At 7:55 a 4 some OF WALKERS is the first to tee off. At 8:05 6 people on the tee box. Clearly some geriatric boys club booking all the Sunday tee times so that no one else can play. My grandpa and I could have teed off at 7:45 and been on hole 3 by the time the first 4some made it to 1st green. Truly absurd and me nor my grandpa who lives 3 miles away will ever be back.

We ended up at Foxrun and were amazed at the condition of the course. It has to be one of the most well maintained courses we have been to, despite the torrential rain. The price is more than fair and the folks that run the place are friendly and polite. Thoroughly impressed! Next time we golf in the area Foxrun will be our destination, hands down.

A…read moreshort drive south of Nashville, Blackberry Ridge is now owned by the Phillips family and they were absolutely wonderful hosts to us when we arrived at their course. Very friendly and accommodating. The course itself needs some work, but they will be the first to admit that and it sounds like they are going to put in the work that it needs. I'm excited to return next summer and see the progress. Even when we played in November, the greens and tee boxes were still OK. My one main complaint is that the distance markers at the tee boxes and on the scorecard don't match up, and even when they do it is obviously apparent the distance is incorrect (I play frequently and know how far I hit my shots -- a few times I ended up in the water off the tee or WELL short of some hazard; so that's how I know the distances are off). Hopefully this is fixed come next spring. All in all, can't wait to play here again.

They also added the 9-hole links style to start off the Warrior course, which I think was a brilliant idea (though I'm not a fan of the kick-ball holes they added or whatever they are -- just awkward). Also, the greens on the 9 links holes need some love -- the little clumps of grass are frustrating. Otherwise, the back 9 are how I remembered them, and they were fun to play again. Patriot is my favorite of the 2, and again, as enjoyable as I remembered. The greens were in better shape on this course, though the fairways are à course superintendent's nightmare as it is one big anthill. I have to imagine the maintenance bills are pretty high, but the fairways need some love. Lastly, I appreciated the staff at Redstone. All were friendly and professional, and made my wife and I feel welcome. Can't wait to play here in the Fall. Cheers! RS

The gate asks for your driver license and grants u a pass to play that day. It is open to the public. The staff there are very nice. Day was very humid and hot, water was provided on the PATRIOT course at 1 location. Before COVID water was more easY to have. Pictures are of my dogs at Madison dog run during a rainy weekday. Walkways were flooded as creek was overflowing.
