They took out the poor dirt from underneath and put 4" of asphalt. - Used good roadstone foundation to ensure water drains to ground underneath. - they had leveled our paved walkway very nicely and refilled the sand. - what we loved the most is their designing and honesty. offered a designing of the front flowerbed and Gave us beautiful flowerbed stone border layer down with perfection. - also did Drain pipe fixing. So the water drains and seeps far away from the house - Even leveled the soil near our swimming pool area. By adding some dirt. - Honest, reasonable people and very professional people. Less than 5 months later, weeds are breaking through the asphalt in multiple spots and the surface shows signs of poor compaction and premature deterioration. I contacted the contractor multiple times by phone and text with photos of the damage. No response. I sent a formal written warranty demand letter via certified mail on April 18, 2026 -- it was refused/not collected. A first-class mail copy was also sent. As of today, 45 days later, still no response. I have since discovered that their NJ Home Improvement Contractor license #13VH08178300 was expired at the time they performed the work, which is a violation of NJ consumer protection law. Complaints have been filed with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I am simply asking them to honor their own 5-year warranty. Homeowners should verify contractor license status at njconsumeraffairs.gov/hic before hiring.

Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.
