Less than 5 months later, weeds are breaking through the asphalt in multiple spots and the surface shows signs of poor compaction and premature deterioration. I contacted the contractor multiple times by phone and text with photos of the damage. No response. I sent a formal written warranty demand letter via certified mail on April 18, 2026 -- it was refused/not collected. A first-class mail copy was also sent. As of today, 45 days later, still no response. I have since discovered that their NJ Home Improvement Contractor license #13VH08178300 was expired at the time they performed the work, which is a violation of NJ consumer protection law. Complaints have been filed with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I am simply asking them to honor their own 5-year warranty. Homeowners should verify contractor license status at njconsumeraffairs.gov/hic before hiring.

Timing couldn't have been better because mine was in terrible shape. I got a quote/estimate and it was actually more than reasonable (cash payment preferred). This was just for an asphalt rip and replace. The next week the team came out and immediately got started (Monday) and finished Friday evening. That Monday though, Mike came over and offered an upgrade to do a soldier border and skirt on pavers that'd best match the house and again for a very good rate. I opted in and didn't regret one bit of it. It came out amazing. The guys left everything in very clean manner as well. I will be using the team again in the spring to do walkways to the house.
